Dr. Yan and his team are truly the best! Can’t thank them enough for all effort and excellent work they have done to my daughter’s teeth! she just had her braces taken off yesterday and her teeth are so beautiful and perfect. Every single visit during past 22 months to Dr. Yan’s office is fun and pleasure to my daughter and myself, we love Dr. Yan and all his incredible staff very much, they are so professional, so nice, sweet and thoughtful. Thank you again Dr. Yan !!

Dr. Yan Razdolsky is a great Doctor, in every way that is to be expected and more! In my humble opinion, I think his practice is the best there is in the Northwest Suburbs — and I visited several places before his office won me over.
The first thing you’ll notice walking into the office is that the business is clearly managed well, and what will ultimately earn your business is the respect and patience that Dr. Razdolsky treats his patients with.
I’ve met with him several times to consult about my anterior open bite, and I’ll be getting my braces this month. Followed by approximately 1 year of wear before moving on to Jaw Surgery, immediately followed by another year of braces.

They did very nice job on my son ! Yan’s wife, who is a manager is not really a friendly person ! And also after spending around 7000 dollars for my son’s teeth, they denied me use of their Fax machine ! That is beyond cheap ! It is just disgustingly impolite !

I came to Forever Smiles after my first shot at braces (with a different orthodontist) was a complete disaster. I spent about 1+ year at this previous orthodontist in downtown Chicago and never once saw my teeth shift. Brackets would fall off very easily, and I don’t have anything too complex going on in my mouth — just an upper tooth that’s impacted in my gums and some alignment issues on my bottom.
It’s been 1 day since having my braces removed and 2 years of a fantastic experience with Dr. Razdolsky and the team. I think that they must be the most efficiently ran dentist/​medical office that I’ve ever been to. The longest I’ve waited for my appt was 5 minutes. Moving on, he’s an exceptional great listener, and if I had even the smallest concerns he would address them immediately. This team really is the best orthodontist practice. I would highly recommend to any and all friends, thus the Unilocal review.

People tell me they love my smile. People tell me my teeth look fantastic. People ask me if my teeth are naturally this perfect. I’ve even had people compliment me on the look of my canines (cute and aligned with my other teeth). People are surprised to hear I got braces. Sometimes I like to fib and joke that I just have good dental genes, but the truth is Dr. Razdolsky is awesome at orthodontics. When I was an awkward kid, I had a mild overbite, and while my bottom row was fine, my top row had a stubborn baby canine that refused to leave. My teeth were also mildly unaligned. My mom got some recommendations and Dr. Razdolsky came up the most («pricey but he does fantastic work!»). His office is very clean and there are plenty of movies and magazines to keep you occupied. The arcade room is archaic though and some games don’t work. There are also complimentary cookies and toothbrushes to clean up the crumbs before you get work done on your teeth. Within two years, I came out with lovely teeth and left the office with a big smile (and a goodie bag).
Throughout the entire process, he and his team have been highly professional and handled any problems I had (broken wires, protruding wires, and a broken retainer). Also, flavored gloves — a nice touch because I’d rather taste artificial grape than nasty plastic. I also found it nice that his office has multilingual staff, which is very useful in overcoming communication barriers.
Besides me, my mom and brother also got braces here. They needed more work, so the prices did get steeper, but it was overall worth it because our family now has perfect teeth.

Dr. Yan Razdolsky is THE BEST ORTHODONTIST you will ever find. I got my braces here last year and right from the bat he told me i’ll be wearing them for roughly 18 months. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, i got them off just recently and IT WAS EXACTLY 18 MONTHS! –well i followed all their instructions, the do’s and don’ts. but they are truly amazing. He is friendly, very accommodating and made sure that you got what is best for you.
You walk in and whoever is sitting at the desk will greet you, ask how everything is doing. They really treat you like family. Brenda who took care of our finances was friendly, funny and very accommodating. She made sure I was being taken cared of and all my questions were answered
As you get your procedure done, they have these built in TV’s in the ceiling so you can watch whatever Disney movie they have on. So you don’t get bored. Their equipment are all clean and advanced and they have all these fun colors!
I love the programs that they have to get the kids involved. like one time, they had a jar full of jelly beans and it was guess how many jelly beans there are and you win a prize. Prizes like ipads and other cool gadgets.Dr. Razdolsky is truly generous!
Lucy Lee who took care of me the entire time was AMAZING. She made sure nothing hurt or nothing poked me. She always talked to me like we are good friends, asked me about how my birthday was and hows everything. Made me really comfortable with the environment! Knew my routine, what I like and didnt like. She provided me with all the information I needed when i had questions, made sure that we are always on schedule.
There is so many good things to say about this place!
The STAFF and SERVICE of Dr. Yan Razdolsky is GREAT! Whatever they are doing, they are doing a great job. Even though I got my braces off, I can honestly say I miss going there! Not for my teeth, but just to see everyone.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They do NOT stand behind their work. They put a retainer in my mouth and told me «If it ever breaks — we will fix it for free». Now, it broke, they are refusing to do it and, in fact charging me for TWO appointments to fix it (though they were going to schedule only ONE). They say «One for consultation and one for repair», and they were going to charge my insurance for two appointments as well, though I was only going to their office once. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They are LIARS AND CROOKS.

This place rocks! I went to Dr. Razdolsky 12 years ago to have braces put on as a young girl. Unlike most doctors’ visits, I always had fond memories of these trips. Today I went back to have my retainer checked out and just as I remembered had an overall great experience. Dr. Razdolsky and his staff are extremely friendly and do great work. After 12 years I am still very happy with the results of my braces. To top it off, they have fresh baked cookies to munch on in the waiting room! Can’t beat that! I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

3 stars — I’m a bit torn. Some aspects were 5-​star-​worthy, others don’t even deserve one.
Dr. Razdolsky and team made miracles happen with my teeth years ago. I had a horrendous overbite, top teeth that came to a «V» rather than a smooth curve, etc. I started off with an oral appliance that should be retired to a medical torture device museum. Gigantic screws, metal poles, wire metal expander at the roof of my mouth… need I say more?
On TOP of that, I got stuck with braces a few months later. After hell and pain, and learning how to eat like a senior citizen who lost his dentures, I ended up with a near perfect smile. They did a damn good job but for an arm, leg, and a Bentley.
The technicians aren’t the friendliest or most knowledgable in the world, and when my dog got a hold of my retainer and I called to ask for a replacement, they had already gotten rid of the final mold even though I was told they’d have it for at least five years. My teeth have since shifted a bit, but I still get the occasional compliment about having «perfect teeth.» Unfortunately, that doesn’t help my misalignment when eating.
If by «beauty is pain» they mean gagging while your technician puts you into a coma with her horrible breath only to wake you up by snipping your gum with the braces’ wire, by all means you’ve come to the right place.

Went to this orthodontist in 2008 because I needed a boost to my self-​confidence, and I wanted a Julia Roberts smile. At the time, I had an insurance plan and Forever Smiles was in my network. I knew practically nothing about orthodontics, nor did I know that I was born with a very deficient chin. In other words, my mandible is much, much smaller than my maxilla. Well, I went in and had all of the necessary prep work, blah blah, and as soon as I signed the paperwork and handed them the cash, they put braces on me the same day. Now mind you, my initial treating orthodontist was a pediatric dentist, not Dr Razdolsky. Nothing was mentioned about expansion, jaw surgery, etc. I was 40 years old, being treated like a kid. One would think that in an office that treats so many patients, that they would get things right in the first place. Nope. My case was pretty complex, unbeknownst to me at the time. I wore only braces for 9 months or so, and my teeth began flaring. I sought a second opinion from another orthodontist in August 2009, that consultation lasted but 5 minutes. They told me to pull teeth, which I didn’t want. I ran outta there scared. Then, without MY permission, the second opinion doc called Razdolsky and he called me in for a consultation with him. He quite hastily told me I needed extractions, and I asked for other options. All I got was a «nope» and he was out the door. Soo, I had them done. Within 48 hours after pulling 3 16 mm rooted premolars, my face thinned out. I had no idea until someone said something. I FREAKED out, I felt as if I had been taken. I didn’t want those teeth pulled, but the liars made everything seem so promising, yeah after I paid them 6 grand. I was a nervous wreck. I broke down, and broke down hard. I was on the verge of suicide. I thought, what have they done to me, my face is ruined. To make matters worse, Dr Razdolsky joked about «missing teeth» whist he worked on me. It wasn’t funny at all, and this was NOT I expected out of my treatment. Oh and I called his 911 number on a Sunday and got nothing but rudeness out of this man. I became scared of him. When I saw another orthodontist, he told me I should have come to him first. You trust doctors, you know? When I finally gained the confidence to go back and talk to Yan, he dismissed me as a patient and took 4K of my money. You know that Drs dismiss patients when they know they did something wrong. He referred me to his buddy, another orthodontist in Grayslake. Of course the other guys close to Razdolsky agreed that what he did was right. I spent nearly 20k, and drove myself nearly bankrupt to put my smile back t
