This is the second year I take my sister to see Dr. Ikeda’s office. I initially took my sister there after researching the doctors on her insurance panel. He has only amazing reviews everywhere! He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. This year she saw the new OD. Both my sister and my mother where extremely happy with his service. I honestly recommend this office!

This place deserves 5-​stars in every aspect. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by the doctor & the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They asked me if I was looking for any particular style & I showed them the model and they went out of their way to contact the sales rep to order the frame for me. Unfortunately, the model I was looking for has been discontinued. Still, I was very impressed by their quality of service. Plus, they had a wide variety of glasses frame. I’ve been to about 5 different glasses stores and they by far have the most variety. I highly recommend this place.

I have been going here for years and I absolutely love the staff and doctors. I was seeing Dr. Ikeda and am now seeing his son Dr. John when I go. They are both amazing. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trusted eye doctor. You will not be disappointed! :)

This was my first time coming here and it was definitely a great experience. I had gotten my former glasses at Sears (back when I didn’t have insurance) and I could definitely see the difference. The place is a little hidden and small, however. I came like 30 – 45 minutes early because I wasn’t sure how busy the place would be. There was another appointment before me but I was still taken in very quickly. The receptionist (Mary) is very sweet and patient. When I went in with Dr. John, he was very attentive and professional but also very personal. He gave me some background story about his father who used to run the place but is now retired. I could tell that they really care about their patients because they not only take their time and give you the best experience but they also get to know YOU on a personal level. Several eye exams were taken and afterwards I got to pick out my glasses. Dr. John even gave me a 20% discount because my health insurance wasn’t going to cover much. I pick up my glasses this coming Friday and I’m super excited!

Yesterday, was my first time here at this Optometry, Dr. John, was great! Dr. John took my blood pressure before doing anything else. Never had my blood pressure taken in an Optometry office before. He answered all my questions and I took my eye test and he even took a picture of the inside of my eyes, never had that done before. I will be coming here to get my eye balls checked from now on. Mary was very patient with me and helping me find a pair of glasses.

This optometry office is stellar! ALL the staff are professional, helpful and friendly. Young Dr Ikeda is wonderful! His professionalism and knowledge is over the top. He takes his time with each and every client.
The negative comment made back in November is mean. As everyone can notice, she is the only negative comment. I can imagine she mis-​treated the staff. I can also bet EVERYTHNG she said is an exaggeration. I have been going to this office for a long time and NEVER experienced any of this.
If you are a new client, give them a try!

I have been going to Dr. Osama Ikeda for over 25 years. I will miss him since he has retired. I recently went to see Dr. John Ikeda. He is just as excellent and friendly as his father. I am looking forward to continue seeing Dr. John Ikeda hopefully for another 25 years! Love the staff, everyone is friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend friends and family to see Dr. John Ikeda! Thanks for taking care of your father’s former clients!!!

I went to Dr. Ikeda for a routine exam since I was noticing some blurring in my vision. The receptionist on the phone was pleasant and scheduled an appointment for about a week away. The appointment went smoothly. The doctor was very nice and very thorough in his examination. I went ahead and had my eyes dilated since nothing showed up on his examination and I had a chauffeur i.e. my husband. Everything still looked good so thought it might be fatigue and possibly allergies. We agreed that I would show up at the end of the workday and check my eyes again to rule out fatigue with no additional visitation charge.
The whole office was very nice and professional and I would recommend them.

I couldn’t be happier with the new staff and Dr. Ikeda! I couldn’t believe how knowledgeable the entire staff was, not to mention they were extremely courteous and helpful. The office is equipped with state of the art medical equipment and very well maintained. Dr. Ikeda gave me a through eye examine and explained every procedure along the way. Great experience, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ikeda to anyone looking for an eye dr.

Dr Ikeda’s son, Dr. John, has now taken over the business. I miss Dr. Ikeda but Dr. John is great too. Rochelle is still here. .. . awesome. Still highly recommended.

I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now. Dr ikeda recently retired, but his son took over and is a really nice guy. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable and are always a delight to talk to them. Their frame selection is a wide array of low to high pricing depending on brands. I was very pleased by that. I will continue to come here and reccomend.

Went to Dr Ikeda’s office 3 weeks ago for contact lens exam for the first time. I am definitely glad I chose him for my eye care !

And last but not least, Dr Ikeda is a super nice guy always looking out for us and our best interest. Very passionate about his patients’ eyes. I really appreciate that.

Before I start, I’d like to remark that Dr. Ikeda himself has been wonderful. His new staff and their inability to provide decent customer service, however, is what this review is particularly focusing on.
They’ve had a change in staff not too long ago and it has been bad since. My boyfriend and I decided to try this optometrist out because of the raving reviews all across the board, and to be honest, it WAS like that before two of the staff members retired. I don’t remember their names, but one was a firecracker full of wit and humor, and then there was a gentleman that was quiet and a bit forgetful but always ready to help. When you walked in, they greeted you and made you laugh. The only one that remained was the one lacking all of those qualities. They’ve also added staff members that are inadequate as well. Now I’m not saying that its a requirement to make customers laugh. but at least say HELLO when people walk up to you, not just stare with this «what do you want» face. Wtf? Anyway…
So down to the my most recent anger inducing experience:
The glasses I got from this place during the good era was broken and since I was still under manufacture warranty and was able to get both frame and lenses redone, I took the opportunity. I gave them my glasses and told them that they were my only pair. The lady said it would take a week or week and a half to get back and I begrudgingly agreed, knowing it was beyond their control. I want to note that my experience during that dialogue was unpleasant too. The lady (the one who didn’t retire) made my bf and I feel like we were burdens. Sorry lady that you didn’t want to deal w. manufacture warranties. but that’s part of the job dear. deal
. Fast forward a week and a half later, no calls to let us know what was going on. WE had to call them, and even then they had the «idk what do you want ME to do, ain’t my problem» attitude. Week 3, boyfriend walks in to the office to see if anything came in. Nope. Boyfriend tells them that its been twice the length of time they originally told us and could they please call the manufacturer to see when it would come in and then call us back to update? They said yes.
I never got that call.
It wasn’t until today, nearly a month later, that I called THEM to see where it was at and the receptionist says «oh, yeh its been here».wow. she said it came in overnight and I decided not to cause a war and just asked how long they were open for because i’d like to pick it up immediately (remember, these are my only pair of glasses so it was important to have). The girl said they closed half and hr ago and when I asked if I could come now since i live within walking distance she said «well, you could try»
I’m not a stickler, I get that things get delayed sometimes. but this is where I’m offended: Not only did they make us feel like burdens because we actually had to make them work, but they were also aware of the fact that I really needed my glasses. Good customer service is keeping your customers up to date w. wth is going on. Its particular a bad sign when your customer has to physically come in and directly ask you to keep them in the loop. Its even worse when, after that request, they still don’t contact the customer!
My last gripe is, after they got the glasses, they didn’t give us a call to pick it up. Its Saturday and they were willing to have me wait another 2 days for something they knew I was already waiting too long for. This time, it was in THEIR control and there was no excuse for it.
This message is mostly for Dr. Ikeda. You are an amazing doctor and it is unfortunate to see your business negatively affected by your staff members. Truth is, it already has been impacted because you have lost at a minimum two customers as of today. I will not be coming back to your office as long as they are there and I will be sure to let all my family and friends know of my experience as well so that they may not have to go through the difficulties we went through.
For everyone else: Good luck if you decide to come here. Just be sure to have spare glasses at hand when they let you down.
And for the staff, if you’re not happy with your job, leave it. You’re not doing anyone any favors by staying there being unpleasant.

Dr. Ikeda is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He really took his time to make sure that all my measurements were accurate, prior to my LASIK appt. Dr. Ikeda takes a lot of pride in his work, and his staff follows suit… Kay and Rochelle are very organized and always work hard to ensure customer satisfaction! I would highly recommend Dr. Ikeda and his staff to any of my friends and family.

Dr. Ikeda is simply awesome guy. I had been having astigmatism for years and no OD tried to get me toric contact lenses to fix that. I mean, how difficult was it for others to get me the right lenses? Not anymore. He got me the right lenses. He takes his time. He will call you back until he is satisfied that you have the right fitting. I have not come across any OD that gives so much time for a patient. My advice? ditch your OD and make an appointment with him.

Have been seeing Dr. Ikeda for 10 years now and wherever I move, I always make the drive to see him.
I have really bad issues with getting the proper fitting contact lenses for my prescription but Dr. Ikeda, with all his patience and care, took almost 8 months fitting me for contacts for my ever-​changing prescription. Most doctors would’ve just given up and tell you that there isn’t a contact made for you but not Dr. Ikeda. He never gave up until we literally went through almost 8 months of fittings to find me the perfect contact lens and mind you, he only charged me for the initial visit.
HE IS THE BEST EYE DOCTOR AROUND!
Anyone who is unhappy or looking for a new eye doctor, please come see Dr. Ikeda. He is so caring and takes tons of notes that normal doctors are too lazy to do. He also educates you during visits.
He also has state of the art eye equipment and tests that’s been in his office for 10 years and til this day, still looks like state of the art, contemporary, and brand new equipment. I still have yet to see another optometry office with these types of expensive equipment. The good thing is that he uses all of them during eye exams to be absolutely thorough.
Every time I move and have to see a new eye doctor, I always end up making the drive back to Dr. Ikeda. There is no other Optometrist like him. He’s so good that I just recently sent my bf to him who’s never been able to get the proper, comfortable contact lens for his prescription with any other doctor, until he came to Dr. Ikeda.
My bf was thrilled when he left the office and said Dr. Ikeda knew exactly which brand of lenses to fit him for and hit it right on the nose!

It’s no wonder most his patients have been lifetime patients and his new patients such as my bf, are mainly through referral! As a matter of fact, my ex bf referred me to Dr. Ikeda and his family has been seeing Dr. Ikeda for over 20 years.

I have been going to Dr. Ikeda since I was 13… that’s 22 years now. He is very patient and does not rush through my yearly exam. He always answers my questions completely and gives me a full understanding of my exam whether my sight has changed or not. His staff is very thorough and personable. They never push any products on me and always have my budget in mind. I highly recommend Dr. Ikeda’s office.

My family has been going to Dr. Ikeda since my high school days. I did not know how wonderful they were until my insurance changed. Sadness. If you are looking for an eye doctor this is the one you want to choose.
Dr. Ikeda takes time with you to really look at your eyes and make recommendations. I hate the air in your eye puff test but somehow, we get through it. I remember never feeling rushed. The staff is very very helpful and they really care about you as a person. You dont feel like a number or like they are going to stuff you into a cookie cutter mold.
