Great customer service! Doug and Tim are the best. They have a great selection and were able to give me 10 new keys in 10 minutes! I will recommend and refer this shop to anybody. Also the location is great because it is super easy to find. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place to go for keys. They actually grind them here, rather than Home Depot’s method of stamping them out, most of which do not work.
I had an oddball key that fit a safe that I needed copies of, and got them made, very reasonable price, and they worked fine.
I love this place. It reminds me of the places from long ago, where one person has owned it for years, and you know whatever you need will be done right.

Best damn lock and key in the greater LA/​OC area. The business keeps a tremendous variety of keys and other accessories. The operator is old school and ready to help you right away. The prices are fair and the service great. I like the old school vibe of the building and it shows me he is more concerned about getting the work right than a «pretty» shop.

A little expensive but he has a great selection of keys.
I tried several places to get some RV keys duplicated.
Most places do not carry these keys. This place had all of them.

I will never go there again!!! made 5 keys and none of them worked right and three not at all, took them back and the owner told me to take my locks off the door and bring in the locks so he could make the keys. He is the most unhelpful and rude man I have ever dealt with!!! I took them to Lowes and made new keys and they all work!!! and it was cheaper. The rude old guy did not even say he was sorry, he acted like it was my fault, big waist of time and money. PS he did not give me back my money. Did offer to make new keys that I am sure would not work either.

Customer service so but they could make the key others could not so I would come back to them again.

Rude, unhelpful, and extremely conceited. Waste of my time and energy. Owner was some grungy old guy who acted like a smart ass.

Great, knowledgeable service, fair prices and they get the job done!
Tim is the man, he can take your stuff apart, fix it and put it all back together again and THAT, my friends, is the sign of a good locksmith.
So you either purchase and install all new hardware, latches, door sets, handles, etc. or you call these guys and keep what you got!

Prior to coming I had already programmed my own blank keys. I was charged 2x$ 4.25 for simply cutting two Toyota blank keys. For the job, I found it a little expensive as he simply copied my existing keys. Using a key code to more accurately reproduce the key would cost more. The man was not naturally friendly, but was respectful.

I saw this place on Unilocal and I decided to try it out. Immediately after walking in I was greeted by Doug and he helped me right away. I had to get a key with a chip made for my car and he helped me out right away with quick and courteous service. I am very satisfied with their service and I will definitely recommend this shop as well as continue to come here as well.

Love this place, doing business with them for 15 + years. Building is old yes, but filled with all you need, professional, courteous, and FAST! Doug and Tim are the best!

Great key shop. owner (I’m assuming) was straight forward about my broken key and said he would pretty much have to eye ball it. I trusted him, I left the key over night because he was closing in 5 minutes .He Called the next day about 9:30am key was ready, had my Dad pick it up. Tried it, key worked great!!! I’ll be back here.

Does anyone really read reviews about locksmiths? I perhaps am wasting my time writing this because the owner of this place nor anyone else will read what I have to say. The good news is, when I am done ranting, I will feel better and that’s really all that matters. I went in here yesterday (only because I didn’t know my favorite locksmith had moved. Center Lock and Key). I walked in and the was an older fella looking intently at a diagram in a book. The old TV in the background was on and another gentleman emerged from behind the key racks in the back. He asked if I needed help, «I need 2 keys made on fun keys.» He pointed behind him and said they are up there. $ 3.75 and $ 4.75 was clearly stated on the key card. I told him which 2 I wanted and he said «you know that is going to be $ 4.75?» I agreed with him and said no problem. With a slight awkward silence, and a brief pause he shrugged and begin cutting. He knock out the duplicate keys, in a matter of seconds, handed me the bill and walked away. I paid and without hesitation he went back into his key forest. I had another question, and so I asked him, the fact that he came back to the counter (obviously frustrated with my questions) I asked him and he gave me the shortest, most obvious answer, and walked away again. I had more questions bu since I no longer wanted to inconvenience him. I am a supporter of the local businesses, but I think I will hunt down Center Lock and Safe and give them my business from now on.

In my continue pursuit to find a cheaper place to make my transponder key for 08 Sienna: 105 plus tax.

Building is rather old and has not seen a renovation since Elvis died. Other than that you get what you seek; a wall of keys and a practiced locksmith to fix your problem.
Extended Review for those who care:
The building’s initial dinginess gives way to a family-​owned business that has clearly been here a while. Photos of kids or perhaps grandkids adorn the wall behind the counter and the feeling changes somewhat from run-​down to simple nonchalance.
The owner or at least the locksmith, gives the impression that he is working the third generation of the family biz. He was casual and practiced and banged out my keys in a matter of moments.
Always prefer to do business with locals over corporate entities. This did mean I had to hit an ATM as there is a sign asking for sales to be above $ 10.00 to use a credit card.
Just overlook the building and support a local. I will use BP Lock for keys and locksmithing in future.
