History

Established in 2013.

Business was open to the public by different name located in Canyon Lake, Tx for 9 years until deciding to pack up and move closer to Austin. In 2013 Jim the Owner/​President purchased a partial portion of some appliances from Austin Appliance Connection which were closing they’re doors. He then proceeded to get a bigger facility which at time found his new location in Buda, Tx! He always employed 2 employees that had lost they’re jobs from the previous business closure. Austin Appliance is striving to become a big hit in town and maintain as a more of a «Mom & Pop» facility and not strive to be the everyday «Big Box» business!

Jim is a CROOKE! I was promised a 30 day parts and labor on my new/​used Fridge and did not receive it. My Ice Maker does not work and I have an internal Water leak. I would rate a «0» if I could, the guy is a POS! Steer clear of this LYING good for nothing swindler!

I’ve called this guy probably more than 3 times not to mention the emails sent to him about needing a washing machine for my mother. Each message was yeah, I can do that or yeah, I’ll call you back. Never called me back. If this is any indication on how the service would be if anything went wrong, I think not!

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! The owner Jim is a shadey guy to say the least. Told me he would restore an old refrigerator of mine and then never did and came up with every excuse in the world. 6 months later I finally asked him to please bring it back to me and he tried to charge me the delivery fee times two. When I told the delivery guy I disputed the delivery fee he drove off with MY refrigerator. Will have to involve the police to go get it back.

I purchased a washer and dryer in March 2014. I had a few problems with the both of them but Marco quickly came out to fix the issues. After several repairs to the washer, they replaced it with another one. Except for the hassle of the appliances breaking, Jim stayed true to the warranty her offered and fixed it all for free. Marco was always very nice and respectful.

Just wonder how they even stay in business. Have tried to call several times, left messages, and have still never spoken to anyone with a couple of questions I had. If they don’t even answer the phone, I don’t think they could be a very legitimate business.

THE SATISFACTION GUARANTEE statement on the website just isn’t true
The only reason I gave one star is because I couldn’t give 0.
To make a long story short, my wife and I bought a scratch and dent refrigerator. We paid cash and I self delivered it home. The fridge never cooled and I arranged for a service repair. After several attempts to get the repairman to show up I gave up and took it back to Austin appliance.
After trying to get my money back Jim Vessels said he did not give refunds.
I proceeded with small claims court to where we both stated our case to a judge, Austin Appliance lost the case and my claim was won. Austin appliance. Now owes me $ 1385.00 and has made no settlement to date.
Their statement on their website that says SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED is just NOT so.
I would not recommend this business and I will be adamant to educate customers to their business practices.

Jim helped me out with a microwave and a basic refrigerator about a year ago when I was moving into a new house. I was surprised at how many appliances he had to look at. Too bad I was on a tight budget, they have a lot nicer refrigerators than the one I bought. Both units, microwave and refrigerator, still work great! I’ll be back to check out this place when I need something else. Thanks Jim!

I am very happy with my experience here. I got scammed purchasing a washer on craigslist that ended up being nonfunctional. The guy here helped me find a good replacement without breaking my bank. He also agreed to give me money for the broken one I had. Delivery included taking it to the 3rd story apartment as well taking away my old washer!

This guy… wow. I loaded up a 150 pound ice maker, drove it 20 miles to my house, and messed up my entire schedule THIS morning only to have him ignore my calls. Down right disrespectful! Seemed very nice but he is a wolf in sheeps clothes and furthermore a FRAUD! THIS IS NOT THE REAL AUSTIN APPLIANCE! HE ISNT EVEN LOCATED IN AUSTIN! I actually just got off the phone with the REAL Austin Appliance and they were quite cordial in assisting me with my problem. Going to get that fixed now… thanks but no thanks BUDA APPLIANCE LLC. Two thumbs down!

Highly recommend these guys. Jim Vessells is a great guy and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are tucked away in an industrial park in Buda, but it is well worth the trip.

I contacted Austin Appliance LLC because I am moving out of state and wanted to sell my vintage stove. We negotiated a price and Jim said he would come on Saturday to look at it but never gave me a time. I both e-​mailed and called 3 times and he would neither answer his e-​mails or pick up the phone when I called. At the very least, he could have let me know that he’d changed his mind. I stayed home thinking he would call & come. I needed to know right away whether or not he wanted the stove because I had movers coming and they would pack it if he didn’t want it. I own two other very lovely antique stoves (a green Quick Meal from my deceased mother and a black reliable that I use daily) that I might have sold to him had he shown up. What goes around, come around.

Recently we had an emergency by the making of another appliance repair company in Austin. Austin Appliance provided the service needed to get us out of the emergency situation and get our tenants in a working order in a timely fashion. They delivered a working refrigerator in a moments notice with a 1 year on-​side warranty and no fine print. limiting the warranty to labor only after a month. We are very pleased with the service received from Austin Appliance and plan to continue using them for repairs and purchases of our 10+ rentals in the future.

Stay away from this guy. Do yourself a favor. I tried to buy a whole suite of appliances for my house I’m building. Half the stuff didn’t work, which was fine b/​c there was a promise to make it all right — used stuff right? I get it — no problem. Well I got blown off, yelled at by Jim (notice how he was so kind as to review his own business Unilocal), and then given the excuse that «i just bought this business and any outstanding liabilities I’m not responsible for» — despite the fact he had no problem buying the inventory, the website, the location, the employees, the whole thing but miraculously not the liabilities or outstanding deliverables? I think not. Do yourself a favor and find another outfit. There are no shortages to choose from. Building my own house has been a great experience. These guys are BY FAR the low point for me.
