Used to like their pizza, but it’s slowly but surely gone downhill. Several times I’ve been called or simply arrived to find they were out of ingredients requested. This time, I wanted a large pizza… nope…“out of large dough”(6 p.m.) Wanted roasted peppers…“only green peppers”. Okay. Accepted a medium pizza but arrived to find out… oops! Out of medium dough(7 p.m.) and I got two small ones instead… like 9 inch small. I never want a handout, but a good business would have given these to me free. What used to be good thin crust pizza is now a small wad of thick, uninteresting dough with a few toppings sprinkled on top. Always been low on topping generosity. There’s a Domino’s less than a block away and I’m sure they’re better. Hell… we have Portland Pie opening this month. Done with Benchwarmers.

Great food for a sports pub. Went on tuesday so they had 60cent wings. Great sauces and the service was very good also. Ordered the hail mary pizza and man was that worth it. Everything you could want in a meatlovers and couldnt even finish it. Was able to play some pool and just relax after a long day. Definetely a good spot if in the area to catch a game and enjoy some pub food!

This is sports bar with pool tables, deep booth, a horseshoe bar, tons of tv and always lots of cheering fans. The atmosphere is very relaxed(unless your team is losing). It can get noisy at times with all the excitement, but still able to hold conversation. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, even told us about the speical of the night. The prices are great for all the food you get too. They also have hapy hour specials. This meal really hit that salty fried food craving! The menu is standard pub food, burgers, fried food, chicken sandwhiches and nachos. I was excited to try the buffalo cheese fries but they were less than spectacular. The fries were soggy and had very little buffalo sauce. They did come with ranch dipping sauce tho. The onion rings were declicious! They were far from the average reheated onion rings at some places. They were freshly fried with a crispy light batter and sweet onion flavor that you can’t get enough of. The buffalo chicken wrap can be may with any flavor of their sauces and they have quite the list, from sweet chili, the kitchen sink, maple teriyaki thai peanut and many more. The steak and cheese was good mix of mushrooms, peppers, onion and loaded with shaved steak. The bun was a softer warmed kaiser style bun.

We, a party of six stayed in Brunswick hotel for 4 days in sept 2015. We went to benchwarmers for dinner around 6:00 one evening. Place was so hot inside and an air conditioner unit was not even turned on. We ordered 2 small pizzas with some other food and it took almost an hour to get the food. In between we sat and watched others get food and eat while our eyes burned due to no air circulation. Waitress informed us that our pizzas took so long because their oven was small? Two 9″ pizzas? Food was OK when we got it. This place is not a pub! It seemed like everyone in there was related. Wish we had gone to Byrnes pub. Their food looked awesome and the place was fun. Expected so much more from a place called benchwarmers pub!

Found Benchwarmers using Unilocal and read the reviews! They were right on the money! The food was great and the portions were generous. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Made us feel like we’re were regulars. So good and friendly in fact we were there for the Bruins game in the afternoon and returned later for dinner! Thanks Mike and crew for a great atmosphere.

For a sports pub(and I’m not a big sports gal), this is probably my favorite hang in Brunswick. The food is ALWAYS delicious, and they have the best house-made ranch ever! The bar is my favorite place to be, yet when I’m not at the bar, the wait staff is always super friendly and willing to give you as much time as you need. They always have a smile on their face, and they’re just so darn adorable! The bar tenders are also great! Fred & Sterling are always super friendly and make some pretty darn good drinks! I typically end up getting a Bacardi & Coke or a Long Beach Iced Tea, and it’s never too weak or too strong. Always just the way I like it. The food is always hot and delicious. The pizzas are topped with a generous amount of toppings, the nachos are HUGE, and the fries are killer! The burgers are also always cooked to order & never lack flavor. I think my one complaint simply lies with the fact that sometimes it just gets a little too rambunctious(I mean… c’mon, it’s a bar)… but it’s also a family restaurant and when families bring their multiple children and their children are running all over the place, I get a little bit irritated because they’re running and **screaming**… but hey. can’t have it all, can ya?

The best Wings in Brunswick hands down. Great beer selections with plenty of big screens to see your favorite game. The staff are awesome.
