TI had a great experience with The Gas Connection. They were able to get me an appointment quickly and Doug was able to quickly diagnose the issue with our gas fireplace. He repaired it and gave it a beautiful cleaning… and even gave me some tips on how to use the fan/​blower more efficiently. I highly recommend them and am so glad someone had the foresight to hire Doug!

Justin and Chris recently installed and connected two new linear gas fireplaces in our house and they were excellent! They were on time, polite, clean, and spent time with us after the installation making sure we knew how to use our new fireplaces. Plus, they had to fix a number of issues caused by errors the framing carpenters made prior to doing the final connections.
Besides the installers (Justin and Chris), everyone else we dealt with from The Gas Connection was also great. From owner Kevin’s first visits for the estimates to the people in the office who arranged the visits, everything went very smoothly, with excellent communication levels. We highly recommend them for anything having to do with your gas fireplaces!

The Gas Connection was recommended by Heat Wave to fix our fireplace that had not been working at all. They came and found that it needed new parts. Doug told me I would save money to buy the part myself and gave me the part number. Once I had the part, he came back and fixed it and we now have fire again! Doug was nice and professional and got the job done.

John and Colin were great. They removed an old and ugly gas insert fireplace quickly and professionally. John also gave me good advice on how to clean up the space so I can paint it black and decorate it with candles.

I needed a gas grill connected to an outdoor gas line. Not only were they able to provide same-​day service, Justin and Chris helped carry the grill from our car to the porch, then installed it quickly and professionally. They were friendly and efficient and extremely helpful, and also made sure not to get any materials on our deck or siding. Everything works and looks great! I’d definitely use them again.

Everyone I dealt with, from the person I spoke to on the phone, to the estimator, Jesse, the primary installer, Colin, and John, who came back with Colin today to install the fan, was pleasant and professional. They made sure that I was completely happy with the way my new gas fireplace insert was installed. Now I’m warm and cozy enjoying my beautiful new gas fireplace as I write this review! Zach was fantastic in installing gas pipe and helping to set up the new stove. He arrived several minutes early and was very efficient in getting the system up and running. Great Job.

Doug came over to fix several problems I was having with the gas insert fireplace. The unit is 7 years old and had never been serviced. He gave it a thorough service check up and clean up and to my surprise all the major issues were fixed! Doug and his associate Mark were very professional, clean and generally nice guys.

As usual, Doug did a fantastic job servicing our living room gas fireplace! He always makes adjustments to improve the fireplace function as well as appearance and is always very thorough and professional. A+++

The service was professional and friendly and seems to have taken care of the issue with our gas fireplace. My only concerns are that: (1) it was several weeks before there was an appointment available, and (2) because the service window was so large, I asked that the technician be given my number to alert me when he was on his way, and this did not happen.
Other than that, I was very pleased.

I wish I could say something positive, but this was not a great experience. After reading other reviews, I guess it shows they do not have much of a commitment to customer service. We used them based on a referral from the store where we bought our fireplace insert. They installed our gas fireplace insert on a Thursday. We noticed Thursday night that the fan never came on, even when we manually turned it on. We called on Friday morning to report the issue. A supervisor called us back and said he would have the installer come back out to fix it, because clearly it wasn’t installed correctly.
We would have been perfectly fine with that, but that’s not what happened. Instead, after we didn’t hear back from anyone to schedule it, we called them. This time they sent us over to the scheduler, who said it was now a service call and the earliest service appointment they had was the following Thursday. :-/​.
We paid $ 1500 for the work, and had to wait a week for it to be completed properly. This wasn’t anything special or challenging or difficult. Quite simply, they should have had the original installer come and ‘finish’ the job the next day.

I had this company install 85′ of gas line and install a gas fireplace. They did a really good job. They started and finished within the timeline they projected.
In addition, the new Heat & Glo fireplace I purchased has problems. When replacement parts arrived they sent a technician, Don, the next day. He was great and overall they did wonderfully. I will use them again for the next gas job I need,

Buyer beware! They won’t follow through with their quotes. Their quotes are not based on expertise at all. Run away.

I called to ave a gas line for a new gas range. They came out same day. Really liked technician. But when appliance was delivered they wouldn’t do it. Gas line on wrong side of appliance. I was ok with wrong side. But I asked gas connection to screw on connection. Maybe 5 minutes and they said we can be there in a week. I have a stove in middle of kitchen no appliances to cook with. Sure we’re eager for $ 600 install gas but not a call that still would cost $ 150. Stay away. Find a small company owner does the work type. They care about service

These guys were great! They came next day after I called. After a bad experience with another company who was unable to fix my fireplace, the Gas Company’s technician identified the problem in 2 minutes and was able to get it fixed. He did an extra check on the switches and seals to make sure all was good to go. I was impressed by their professionalism, speed and the knowledge and ability of the technician. Will definitely use these guys again and recommend them!

If I could give negative stars I would. These guys are the perfect picture of how NOT to run a company. I set my installation up with them weeks in advance, purchasing my fireplace someplace else but sold on their capabilities by a good salesman. For those weeks, I tried repeatedly to get them to call me back and confirm my installation date. I mean repeatedly leaving VM messages and email. Finally, with only a week to go in the busy season, I spoke to the company I was buying the fireplace from. I explained my situation, and asked if — just in case — they could do the installation for me. They couldn’t on the day I wanted, but said they could on another close date if I needed them to.
Well, I’m out of town and finally get a scheduler type person to talk to me about the install. Turns out they screwed up, but they say they’ll see what they can do to get out there when they committed. They want to know where I’m buying my fireplace. «Why does that matter?» I ask. The salesman said I could get the stove wherever I want. Hmmm, I’m not feeling good at this point.
This scheduler guy calls around, and finds out where I’m buying the stove, then informs me they don’t do installs for stoves bought from that company.
Really? On the phone you said it didn’t matter. The salesman said it didn’t matter. Were you lying when you said that, or are you lying now? Are you saying this just to have a way out of your scheduling snafu?
I was lucky, as the company I bought the fireplace from, (Colorado Comfort Products), did a really outstanding job of being there when they said they would, doing excellent work, and doing it for the price they quoted. (Which was less, btw, than what The Gas Connection wanted to charge. Just sayin’…)
These guys are the sort of folks who give contractors in general a bad name for deceptive practices and unreliability.

This company (with which McGuckin’s contracts for gas stove & fireplace installation) did an excellect job installing our gas stove. Very professional, including a pre-​installation visit to be sure everything would fit and to offer suggestions on placement. In dealing with a warranty problem (the fault lies with McGuckin’s & the manufactere — Bari Hearthstone furnaces), the Gas Connection has been very helpful in determining the source of the problem (a defective receiver that receives signals from the remote thermostat) & tracking down a solution — contacting the manufacturer, which was slow to admit the problem existed or come up with a replacement part. I highly recommend the friendly, very communicative people at the Gas Connection.
