Camden Interlocken

Tried to get ahold of me once maybe twice then submitted to claims. SOMETHING WE DIDN’T DO… you guys are scammers. .you guys do this to other people it’s on paper !

Smoke free is one thing but due to the aged cold air return system. Smoke from other units are piped right into your apartment. This place is a dumpster. Do not rent here.
You guys are funny. Smoke free is one thing but coming home to smoke filled apartment should NEVER happen. Due to the poor construction and layout pot smoke, dog Oder, food smells will loft right into your apartment through the ceiling heaters. I have asked for help multiple time with no recourse. So nice of you to offer a transfer but you should have mentioned the 900.00 charge you have to pay to do so. You don’t remove snow in any timely manner. My wife skates across the lot until the temperature melts the snow. Don’t be sucked in by there small talk and lies. This place is a low rent dump.

I don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews. We moved in Oct 1 and we love it here. The area and the views are spectacular. When i request a maintenance call the guys are out the next day and all the employees are very nice. I guess my only complaint would be the monthly 45.00 technology fee on top of the already high rent. That is ridiculous. Remove that and everything is peachy

Best place I have ever lived!
First, the staff is so attentive and helpful. I’ve read some reviews on here and seems like people have their own issues to deal with. They are painting the buildings now to give it a more modern look. Comparatively speaking to the new builds I looked at in the area, Camden Interlocken offers much more for the money. Let’s face it no place will ever be perfect unless you own your own place, but the staff here always attemps to adress your needs. Check them out, you wont be disappointed!

From the thin, drafty walls to the snow that doesn’t get removed, Camden Interlocken is the slum of Interlocken. Be sure to read the fine print in the contract as the management is very unhelpful — gouging tenants for every nickel. Place has been under construction for a year. Very poorly managed!

I have nothing but good things to say about this complex. If I weren’t buying my own place I would not be leaving here. The whole entire staff from the office staff to maintenance are second to none. There have been complaints from others about the Manager, Mary Beth, but I can say she has been nothing but helpful to me. My dog got loose one day and it was Mary Beth that shut down the office and grabbed a golf cart and drove around until she found him and for that I cannot thank her enough. With a complex of this size if Mary Beth did not run a tight ship this place would deteriorate. We should all be grateful she cares enough to make this a delightful place to live. Sure the rent may be a little higher than some other places but the amenities provided by Camden are fantastic. Like another reviewer has said haters are gonna hate. I would have absolutely no issue referring someone to live here.

I have to agree with the parking comments. Had a car towed. Missed work, family member missed work (and may lose a contract) — guest spots were all gone. Paying this high rent deserves better, despite the ‘requests to address’ from residents — it is not just about the very legitimate requests, but it is about how you implement a policy. A warning is useful, and that will get you in the office to complain about another money maker — the $ 50.00 per car. You get 1 tag to park your car in a garage — so you can inspect it in a closed garage? The towing company that was contracted by Camden was one of the worst places I have ever dealt with, and does not protect your privacy.
Based on many other reviews, I am confident this review will get me all sorts of deductions or issues on my exit from the property in 1 very short month, as I am not hiding my identity. Too bad, because I was a fan of the place and was hoping to bring some sanity to the many very negative comments and reviews out there on this place.
The market here will not always be good, as history has shown. Tenants deserve just a little respect.
So, other issues I want to amend to a previous positive review. Walls are too thin. You hear everything. I have been woken up several times in the night with huge bangs. I hear everything up and down — garbage disposals, talking, TVs, washer/​dryer etc. Get a loud fan, and you might be able to sleep through the night if you move in. Been here over a year…

Don’t get all the hate. I love it here.
Maintenance response is great, they fix things right away without question.
Employees are awesome and go out of their way to help you (accidentally been locked out multiple times).
Pigeons: they have these little sticks on the top of our deck to prevent them from nesting, so not an issue.
The parking was an issue up until 6 months ago, now it’s great, and the new policy should improve it further.
Walls are a bit thin, but that’s been the only downside. Enjoyed it so far.

PUT OLD YELLER OUT OF HIS MISERY.
I first fell in love with Camden in January about the same time I discovered the movie Old Yeller. Old Yeller taught us that sometimes the best thing we can do for a loved one is to put him out of his misery. In Old Yeller’s case, it was not only the merciful thing to do, but because of his rabies, also necessary to protect the rest of the family.
For the sake of mercy and for the good of the rest of the community, I reluctantly urge you to end Camden’s new parking policy and doggie DNA program. It has become such a joke that it endangers the mission of the community as a whole — Living Excellence. While I value free parking and a dog-​friendly apartment (as agreed upon in the lease I signed), as one who lives close to my office, I’ve learned to love the facility even more. A complex like Camden cannot make itself an utter laughingstock in these two areas without damaging its overall credibility.
I do not make this recommendation lightly. While I have not always been able to find a parking spot, for five months I have willingly complied with the original parking policy I agreed to when I signed my lease. While I believe that parking on the premises can be challenging at times, the new policies that you’re putting on the tenants are wildly inconvenient. I would encourage you to dig deeper to find the root of the problem before punishing those tenants who have been complying with your policies from day one.
And while I agree that cleaning up after your dog is the proper thing to do, DNA testing dog feces seems a bit extreme.
At this point, the hole is too deep, the rabies have o-​FISH-​ly set in. For the sake of the entire complex, please put Old Yeller out of his misery.

Great residents, extremely efficient and thorough maintenance staff, quiet, quality interiors, great gym, great amenities… I can’t say enough about these apartments. I was a bit hesitant to move in to Camden after reading the reviews, but based on a thorough inspection of an awesome apartment and attached garage, I decided to do it anyway. And I’m so glad I did.
The apartment is clean and quiet. I’ve never seen a spider, a fly, or a bug of any kind. I had a maintenance request that was very minor and I went to the office to report it on a Saturday. They addressed my issue PROMPTLY and extremely well. They were courteous and thorough.
The complex is extremely responsive to resident’s feedback. There was an issue with dog poop, so they found an EXTREMELY effective way of handling it. I used to live in an extremely high-​end luxury apartment complex in Denver where the rent was over 2x the rent at Camden. There was a dog poop problem there, and as far as I know, they STILL have the problem. They never took measures even CLOSE to what Camden did to address the issue.
The gym is clean and has top-​of-​the-​line equipment. It’s never too crowded. The pool area is FANTASTIC, and the hot tub is a nice perk. They renovated the club room and now it’s a lot of fun for residents.
All in all, I love living here. I’ve talked to a lot of coworkers who used to live in Camden and they’ve said «OH!!! You live in Camden?! I used to live there, it was my favorite place I’ve ever lived!!» and I can certainly see why.

Hater gonna hate. The office folks are incredibly nice, the buildings are built as well if not better than most newer apartment buildings, the rent is fair compared with surrounding rates, — and its a beautiful location. If you can’t be bothered to read the lease or realize you’re living in an APARTMENT complex, and not a secluded refuge in the middle of nowhere, you probably shouldn’t be living on your own.
I’ve lived in three different apartment complexes over the past few years, and this is by far the best.

DO NOT RENT From here. It looks nice on the outside, the ladies will be oh-​so nice to get you into thinking their always this nice.
I’ve lived here for almost 3 years. Only reason, I like the area. The customer service has only worsened. I’ve felt like an inconvenience when I go to the front office. For the price the apartments like others have said: very thin walls, FULL of spiders, dog poo everywhere. I live on the bottom floor and sometimes can smell dog poo from my sliding door. The stairs from garage are extremely loud.
Just put in my notice and was still treated as a nuisance customer rather than a tenant $$$$ they’d like to keep. I’m afraid to see what I’ll be charged for when I vacate, since I have to pay an additional $ 95 for cleaning fees that don’t come out of my deposit!!! Nickel and dime you here.
I’m forced to put a one star rating; would honestly not even rate a one star.

We love the apartment in itself BUT we have «anonymous» complaints about our trash can that gets picked up from sun-​thurs @8pm-10pm. Question: why leave a trash can full of trash in the house where it could stink up the place? There’s a reason why trash gets our outside. It’s not in anyone’s way. N now we have to follow this new rule of if the trash guy come n we miss them we have to bring our trash back inside the place until the next day or if you took it out Friday you’d have to wait till Sunday.

Here are my tidbits on this over-​priced painted turd.
Lots of pigeons. I mean lots of pigeons. They never go away. No matter hard you try to detour them. Pigeon droppings all over your deck. The staff does nothing to control the problem. If Flying rats is your kind of thing. Then I highly recommend.
Camden also intially claims that they a complimentery trash valet service. Yeah for 15 dollar a month fee. You are charged whether you use it of not. Expensive utitlities to boot. 120 a month for gas and electric for a two bedroom. Prior year I lived in 3 bedroom town home and my average utility bill was 85 – 90 a month.
The staff seems to try to help. But for the most part they are a small cog in a big machine.
If you like getting nickeled and dimed by huge corporation that could care less to have you as tenant. Then Camden Interlocken is your kind of place.

I’d give infinity NEGATIVE stars if I could. Horrible places — do not be fooled. The very first interaction seemed fine as the units are nice inside and conveniently located. However the service and stress make this place unlivable. Their online leasing process does not work yet the folks who work there insist it works. Then be prepared for the price gauging — units are priced based on location and availability but 2 exact apts side by side can range 1000 dollars. It does not make sense and seems corrupt. There are many many many hidden costs ranging from trash to club fees to pet fees. The day we moved in they started roofing the building — we were subjected to almost two months of loud noise — which they obviously knew about prior to placing us in that building. Not worth the money — go elsewhere!

I agree with the other reviewers; avoid renting from this complex. The apartments are very poorly constructed — to the point where I had some weird water pipe dripping from the ceiling into my tub periodically.
They also have a large turnover of staff in their office — I’d recommend not believing anything they say because it will likely be wrong and not backed up by the manager Tiffany. Get whatever they say in writing if you have to live there.
This place is WAY too expensive for what you get.

Run, don’t walk from renting at Camden; and here’s why:
1. Walls are so thin we often heard our upstairs neighbors passing gas in their bathroom while we were in our living room.
2. Yard is littered with dog dung. Apparently you can not live in Colorado without a big dog-it’s the law. It’s picked up once a month except in winter when it become fossilized brown ice sculpture.
3. Don’t expect to get a fair amount of your security back. Their game is to send you pictures of horribly soiled carpet claiming it belonged to the apt you rented. If you do insist on renting there (view is nice) take pictures/​video of the entire place before you move in; expect a fight on move out on this. This ploy has been reported more than once in other apartment review sites.
