History

Established in 2013.

It all began with the Commodore 64: My first love. As luck or fate would have it, that thing broke down constantly. And thus, the love and NEED for repair knowledge blossomed.

Then, many years later, the iPhone came onto the scene with it’s annoyingly delicate glass front… and then, glass back. Like, angel wings and snowflakes alike: Beautiful to look at, not practical for your back pocket or a teenager, or you after several cocktails. They were dropping like flies. Literally. That «new-​gadget» joy shattering into a thousand pieces along with the phone. After seeing that defeated look on the faces of so many friends, I resolved to fix them all (the phones, not my friends (many therapists have already tried and failed).

I am fortunate enough to have trained under many NYC repair gurus. Now, after about a decade of iPhone repair, I can proudly say: I have seen (and fixed) it all.

I’ve been here twice now. First, to replace a cracked iPhone screen. They didn’t have it in stock at the time so I got a discount for my trouble (great!). It only took about 30 min.
Then last week, my the camera on my phone stopped working and I was worried I’d have to give up and buy a new phone. But I stopped in here just in case. Literally, it took him less than 1 minute to fix it.
The guy who is usually here working is super friendly and professional. I’m so glad I found this place and don’t have to worry that even though I’m a klutz, I won’t have to sink tons of money into a new phone more often than is necessary.

Wolfe repair club is amazing! They helped me to recover thousands of photos on my broken hard drive (and days of work) in just one day. My iMac hard drive was broken and after several failed attempts to start my computer I accidentally partitioned my hard drive and reinstalled the OS. I brought it to Apple Genius Bar to try to recover the data that was on my drive and they couldn’t do better than just replacing the broken one. They advised me to go to techserve to recover my data and after 20 minutes of waiting, techserve told me they could try to recover my data for $ 1200+ and it will take two weeks or longer. I almost gave up until I found Wolfe on Unilocal.
Pablo and his brother recovered every photo I need in one day and only charged me $ 299! Don’t get fooled by their small shop set up. These guys are awesome! I’ll definitely recommend them to any one who has the similar data recovery problem! They even replaced my hard drive for me by the time I pick up my computer the next day. (Apple said it will take them 5 – 8 business days to just replace the hard drive. At Wolfe it’s 2 hours!)

This place was great! I was having major computer issues (needed more RAM and a SSD Hard drive) and they were easy to talk to and extremely helpful. Also thier prices were great and very fast service. I will definitely go back anytime I ever have computer issues again

I went to the Wolfe Repair Club after reading all of the positive Unilocal reviews. My issue started out simple, my screen was damaged and needed to be replaced (giant blots of light in the center of the screen). (This was a 2012 Macbook Pro 15″). They charged me $ 250 for the entire task, but after many unsuccessful attempts, they found that there was a problem with the fuses on my logic board. It was great they didn’t charge me to fix that issue, and fixing that resolved the screen issue. Their service may not have been the fastest, but it was dealt with in a very professional and courteous manner, and there’s a good chance I’d be paying higher elsewhere. I would recommend this place if your devices need some repair.

Pablo and his brother were extremely patient and understanding of my situation. Quickly repaired after waiting on my final decision/​long work trip — they are knowledgeable in both hardware and software issues which helped me tremendously. I cracked my screen on my iPhone 5 and simultaneously managed to make it unusable on a Friday evening, and was obviously upset. I emailed Pablo the next morning, panicked, and he got back to me immediately, letting me know that I could come in at his shop and he would help me, which I greatly appreciated. Come noon when they opened, Pablo was ready to help. Within 15 minutes he was able to fix my phone and it is now working PERFECTLY.
Pablo is seriously the man. He can tell you what there is to know about computers and electronics and in a really helpful, straightforward way. When I got there he assuaged any worries of needing to get a new phone, letting me know right off the bat that he thought he could fix it and also fixed the frame, which I somehow managed to destroy, as well. I can’t thank him enough for his help, I’d definitely recommend Pablo and Diego for any phone/​computer troubles.

Tried to turn on my mac about a month and a half later to find similar symptoms as before… anxious (as I had maybe turned on my laptop 3 times before it doing this after repair) decided to just walk down to Wolfe Repair, and let them look at it, within a few minutes they told me that the hard drive had again failed… confused I asked how this could happen as I had JUST had them replace it a month and a half ago?!? They offered to repair at just the cost of labor ($ 60), annoyed but I agreed — - go to pick up computer (after 2 failed attempts of them not being there during their stated hours and when they told me to come) to find out it wasn’t the hard drive at all it was a software issue which now leads me to believe initially the hard drive never needed to be replaced. Frustrating this place saw it normal for their product and service to break after 1.5 months.

Updated to add: after the screen basically peeled off because of the shoddy job these guys did, I took it to the Apple Store for repair and guess what — they screwed up the display so badly that Apple can’t fix it. I’m now stuck with a virtually useless phone. Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth it.

Shattered my brand new iPhone 6 screen and they fixed it up good as new. It only took about 30 minutes, and the 2 employees on site were super cool. I ended up hanging out there for the last 10 or so minutes and genuinely enjoyed their company. Would highly recommend them to anyone in need of repairs.

I cracked my screen when I dropped my Mac Book Pro after a DJ gig and I took it to Tekserve and they wanted over $ 700 for the entire assembly display! I asked all my DJ friends about an alternative and most of them go here. I saved $ 200 with the good guys at Wolfe Repair Club for the same part including labor!

I went in for a 5s screen replacement, and had just enough time to grab a beer across the street before it was done. The price with the Unilocal deal was $ 20 cheaper than other chain repair stores I researched, and after a few days my phone is still working great.
When I arrived, Pablo was out grabbing lunch, but I called his # and he was back within minutes. A+ service.

I used to go to another guy in Wburg for these things but it was freaking impossible to get ahold of that dude. So I found Pablo and so happy I did. After having 2 phone screens fixed by him, and an ipad repair I can unequivocally say that Pablo is the man. Initially I thought this was just Iphone repair but while I was waiting for my phone screen to be fixed (10 mins tops) I was talking to him about a mac issue I was having as well. He knew exactly what the problem was and gave me instructions how to fix it when I got home, no charge on his part. Super nice guy and Ive never had problems with his work.
It should be noted that Pablo does house calls for residential and commercial computer jobs, which is super convenient, but also means you should call or text to make sure he’s in the shop before you show up. Seems like some of these bad reviews don’t understand that this is part of his service, so check first to make sure he’s available. This is a service, not a clothing store, seems like common sense to me, but maybe not.
Ive sent many friends his way, and have only heard good things. If I ever have another Mac issue I will take it here before waiting at the Apple store. Even if you think their screen repair service is cheaper, they hold your phone on average of 5 or more days. No thanks, I’ll take a 10 minute repair instead. Woot.

Whelp I guess I was wrong. They switched out my glass and then broke my audio component so I can’t hear out of my phone.
Texted them to come in and fix the phone. Show up at the arranged time and he isn’t there.
Now he’s not picking up my phone calls or texts.
EDIT 4÷28÷15 — the guy had a family emergency and apologized for reneging on our prearranged time. He also fixed the phone and it’s working again. Came to my office to pick up and drop off the phone.
