Whisk

This is the kind of store I could blow a ridiculous amount of money in if I had less will power than I do. All kinds of kitchen stuff, useful things, not just gadgets or weirdly shaped cake pans that only people who make tons of cakes would ever use (though they have those, too). Highlights for me: lots of great cookware, drinkmaking items of all sorts, a fantastic baking section, and a really great selection of canning jars and related items. The people who work in there are super friendly and helpful, too.
Oh, and a really great selection of whisks, as one would expect. ;)

Definitely a dope spot got all kinds of crazy stuff and especially bitters for cocktails which I was looking all over for and finally found them here with a huge selection definitely a must to stop in.

I love the idea of this shop and it’s nicely stocked and very inspiring. Too bad the sour attitude of staff and manager makes me never want to buy anything.

Store is kitchy and eclectic. The first thing you think when you walk in here is «This place is going to be super overpriced and not have what I need» and that’s only sort of true depending on what you need.
We needed a SodaStream refill cartridge (they have them!) and that was addressed promptly and was easy; we were in and out. I also took some time to browse. They have gadgets and overpriced basics like mason jars, salt and pepper, but then I noticed they had a particularly fabulous selection of reasonably priced baking accessories: things like sprinkles (all different colors and types at very reasonable prices), bakeware, other decorations… you name it. If I were an amateur baker or working on some sort of crafty baking project I would be in heaven. These are not easy-​to-​find items in NYC.
So all in all, I’d come back. I’d probably call ahead to see if they had what I needed first just because it’s not like Bed Bath and Beyond or something, but definitely a better selection of kitchen stuff than you’d find at most of the local grocery stores and convenience stores (aka the only other places to buy kitchenware around here).

Whisk is an awesome kitchenware store! What I loved about it was one, that it was out of Manhattan, and two, it had more of a small town feel to it, not among the hustle and bustle of a Manhattan street. I went on an early Thursday afternoon (the joys of a staycation) while looking for some culinary-​based birthday gifts for a friend, and I was in heaven, if not a bit overwhelmed!
The inventory runs the gamete from pretty to functional to just plain fun. The main entrance is a room full of knives, gadgets, and cast iron skillets, while a turn to the left brings in into another two rooms with coffee ware, tea ware, silverware… well, a lot of wares, to be frank… as well as baking items and storage items. I suppose my single disappoint was a lack of decorative silverware, as I was looking for a cool spoon to give me friend as part of an *ice cream gift pack*. (She is a super fan!) That being said, I was able to find her a nice scooper, a cool ice cream storage tub, and some vanilla beans for her ice cream making adventures.
The staff was pretty omnipresent, though I didn’t really seek their help. Only upon checkout did I speak with them. Friendly, but while I was browsing near the cash register at one juncture, I heard a couple of staff make a comment and giggle about a woman and her kids that was, perhaps, a little too loud. «Breeders» was the operative word. I did feel myself rolling my eyes a little at that… but anyways. We can all have our opinions, but, in the retail world, keep them in your head, I’d say. I hope that was just an odd and random occurrence.
Odd comment aside, I really enjoy this store! I heard there is a Manhattan location as well, but I’d much rather take the trip to Williamsburg for this location.

You’re walking along in Williamsburg — probably in a good mood and with a little money in your pocket. Why not take a look at some kitchen items? Everyone always needs something new in the kitchen: wine glasses, towels, knives etc. And then — it hits you… WHAMO — a blaring Megadeath or Slayer song comes ripping into your ears making you wonder if the clerk behind the counter might have other intentions with those meat cleavers. Come on guys — I’m shopping for kitchen towels and cutting boards not eyebrow rings and doc martens. I want to be relaxed when deciding if I like a certain type of serving spoon — not feel compelled to stomp someone out.

Great selection of kitchen items. Good place for different gifts. Cute location and surprisingly reasonable prices.

This store is heaven on earth for any foodie who likes to play chef. They have kitchen gadgets for everyone, from cocktail making to all-​your-​baking needs. They have all the bitters you can imagine. I don’t think Whisk is missing anything when it comes to your kitchen and pantry and one could spend hours in there checking the shelves for small wonders. Go! #foodiechats

Having been to the Flatiron one, we knew what to expect, but still enjoyed browsing then purchasing things elsewhere for less.

I really like this shop, & they almost always have what I’m looking for, but ohhhh myyyy goddddd the employees are moody as hell.
Actually, that’s not fair. Some are friendly & normal. But others (like Denim-​Jacket-​With-​Patches-​Guy* most recently)… Just WOW. I’m not asking for a lot… No «Pretty Woman» fawning or whatever… You don’t even need to greet me when I walk in. But when I come to the register & want to give you my money? Sorry guys, ya gotta at least make eye contact.
If there was a self-​checkout lane, Whisk would be perfect. Until then, I’ll just keep rolling the customer service dice.

The service here is outstanding. Always. I pop in whenever I walk by and have bought bits and bobs slowly but surely over the years. A great cutting board which I occasionally oil. A little red knife that does the job of a really big knife. A set of mixing bowls. A tea towel. Some paraban free Tupperware.
The punch card I always lose. Wish they kept that shit in the computer.

I like this store. The staff is always pleasant. I’ve never waited in line for more than 5 minutes.

In my free time my passion is to cook and bake. I decided to randomly make apple pies the other day and needed a mandolin and cookie cutters. I could spend an entire pay check in this store. I love this store! Not only did I find the things I needed, they have everything you could ever imagine needing in your kitchen. The ladies in the store were also super helpful in helping me find exactly what I needed. Will be back soon!

I was at the store yesterday April 15.
The store is very nice and they have many verities of cook and bake stuff.
The prices are very high.
I found a book that I want and the price was $ 50
I scanned on Amazon and it was $ 28
I order it right away
Finally I took two kids rolling pan that coast $ 3 each.
Today by mistake I took a look on the recite and I saw that they Charge me $ 3.50 on each one and of course they add tax
So that” computer” mistake or real mistake???
Very upsetting that the prices are not much the labels
Wants to give them a second chance.

A cute little shop with an incredibly well curated supply of kitchenware. Even if you’re visiting Brooklyn (like me), this is a great store to browse.
Check out their barware in the middle nook of the store — if you’re in need of bitters look no further.

Cool little store that sells a bunch of kitchen stuff. Staff is friendly but let’s be honest, everything in here is over priced and you can easily buy the same thing cheaper at a Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohl’s, or even online.
The main reason I come in here every now and then is to check if they carry Hario coffee maker. I could of sworn I saw it here once before. The one I had at home broke so I’m looking for a replacement but Whisk never has it in stock. I must of imported at least a dozen of these from Taiwan but my clumsy idiot of a father keeps accidentally breaking them.
Verdict — Whisk carries a variety of cast iron pans, skillets and a whole bunch of other kitchen accessories. I just wished they carried more Hario or other Japanese coffee making products. I want something that I can’t get at a department store.

This place is a toy store for chefs and home cooks alike.
So many awesome tools and accessories. They have seemingly anything you’re looking for and the staff is super knowledgeable about the products. Very helpful!
I also love the way the place is laid out. Definitely a must see!

What a great kitchen shop! First, they play awesome music in there. They were playing some punk stuff when I was there! It is chock full of all the good stuff you need in your life. From big things like a pink Himalayan salt slab to teensy tiny spoons for delicate spices. My friend was visiting from a small town in North Carolina and has access to WalMart and Target only so she went cah-​razzzy!
A definite «must check out»!

I wanted to make spaetzle, so I called Whisk to ask them if they had a spaetzle maker. The friendly woman who answered the phone told me they did, the brand, and the price.
Later on, I went in and picked it up. Very nice store, tons of stuff, friendly service.
Doesn’t get any easier than that!
