Mind blown! These guys were absolutely incredible and exceeded all my expectations. This was the first time I used a professional moving company. I moved out of a large 1BR apartment to a smaller 1BR 6^th floor walk-​up. Lee, John and Eric were very professional, hard-​working (they wouldn’t even take a lunch break and just powered through), and managed to move all of my furniture in less than 5 hours. I chose vantruckmove based on prior reviews and I am so glad I went with them. I will be using them again in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

These guys were the best! I seriously can not say enough good stuff about VanTruckMove (now Go TO Moving). Paul was very friendly and prompt in getting our contract over. On the day of the move Nat called about 8 minutes before the scheduled time to let us know they had arrived. Nat, Z, Serge and the driver (I can’t recall his name, sorry!) were phenomenal. They were super quick and efficient, nothing was lost or broken and they were just so pleasant to be around. All of the guys were so nice, upbeat and worked really hard. There was a lot of snow due to the storms, making parking and loading difficult for them and you never would have known there was an issue with the snow since they never complained once about anything. So professional and really looked out for my boyfriend and I anyway they could. I will recommend this company to everyone and if we need another move, we want the same crew!
Oh and i should add — we had two pick up spots and then a final destination… they didn’t bat an eye and gave us such a reasonable price.

I was searching for a small move of about 12 items including furniture and paintings.
I wanted a registered van, and wanted to save money by actually moving the furniture with my boyfriend. These folks are registered with the Dept. of Traffic. I got a rate of just $ 110 for a small van and driver only for 2 hrs. which was less than other registered movers. the driver was on time packed the items carefully within the van. You get a Bill of Lading. I was very satisfied with this. I simply do not trust those main with a van operations on craigslist that aren’t registered.

I used VanTruckMove to move from a 1-​bdrm apartment to another apartment about 15 blocks away. The movers showed up five minutes earlier than scheduled and were very courteous and careful with my belongings. They were diligent in disassembling the larger pieces of furniture, wrapping many of the items in blankets and plastic wrap, and loading each item onto the truck. They were also very diligent at the new apartment with unloading everything and assembling the things they had taken apart.
My only complaint with the company, however, is that the movers were quite inefficient time-​wise. There was one mover watching the truck (since it was parked in front of a hydrant) and arranging all the belongings inside. Between the other two movers, however, they took too long to make trips back and forth from the apartment to the truck, and it was often at least 10 – 15 minutes before I saw them again after they had gone downstairs. I’m not sure how efficiently they coordinated between the two of them, or how many breaks they took, but it might’ve been faster if they had been taking turns carrying things to the truck. When they were finished loading, I left at the same time they did, by bicycle, and I still got there a good 20 minutes before them, 15 blocks away. They refused to discount this delay from my overall time. They were slightly more efficient at the destination, however, even though still not as efficient as I would like. As a result, a move that was estimated at 4 hours took 5.5 hours. At the hourly rate they charged, their delays were inexcusable.
When I posted this review on CitiMove, the mover posted a rebuttal saying «I am impressed we were able to get the job done in only 5.5 hours.» Not cool, VanTruckMove — you haven’t explained all the unscheduled breaks the movers took and the long delay in getting on the road (I beat them by 20 minutes over 15 blocks in no traffic and I was on a bicycle). Dinging you yet another star because of that.

These guys were excellent. Showed up on time and carefully wrapped all of my furniture and delivered everything without a scratch. Even though I had more items then I initially planned they carried out the move without complaint, and even asked me if I needed anything else moved. The movers were very friendly and polite and I will definitely be using them on my next move. A+ job

you guys, this is my first Unilocal review EVER. i’m a little behind the times. but i just hired movers for the first time in my life, and i’m so thrilled with the experience that i have to tell people that these guys are awesome.
i had a pretty complicated situation: my boyfriend and i were moving out of our shared apartment, and about half our stuff was going to a brooklyn studio a few blocks away, while the rest was going to a storage unit in the middle of new jersey. i had been figuring on having the movers do just the brooklyn part, and us doing the rest ourselves, but when i talked to paul from van truck move, he said that they could do that leg of the journey too. the price was SO TOTALLY REASONABLE — they gave me a flat rate so it didn’t matter how long anything took (or how much traffic there was on staten island).
the team of three guys who moved us were professional and friendly and fast — and pretty good-​humored about the whole «okay, now let’s go to new jersey at rush hour!» thing that ended up happening.
the only reason i’m giving four stars instead of five is that their communication could have been better — i had a hard time getting a final confirmation of when the move would be happening, plus when the guys were really late showing up, it would have been great if the office could have let us know in advance.
but overall, A+, would move again.

These guys are great. They showed up early in a huge Mercedes van. Finished the job very quickly, didn’t nickle and dime me, and over all had a good attitude towards my small job. They gave me a great deal to begin with. I was very pleased and I would definitely recommend.
