Best tanning salon in Williamsburg. Service is excellent, staff is well educated on every aspect of indoor tanning. Spray tans are amazing, Larissa and Allison are super detailed and cater to your specific needs in terms of shade of tan, contouring etc. Beds are also excellent and the salon is spotless, very clean. Prices are very reasonable, you have to try Urban Tanz if you want the best in indoor tanning!!!

I absolutely love urban tanz. I have to say it’s the most effective and efficient tanning means possible. I have been going for over one year now and I love it beyond words. It is the most cleanly tanning salon I have ever been to. The staff are all very helpful and the beds are like one and done (i do use a mix of legacy and bombshell…(bombshell is a tingling lotion) I say that bc I’m a rare breed that enjoys the tingle. But also I have received over 13 amazing airbrush tans. I wanted it super dark n it’s exactly what I got. Rarely do you get exactly what you asked for. Ever. But I will continue to come all winter. I lived in Orlando Florida for many years and I’m still trying to comprehend the bizarre icyness. Thank GOODNESS I have this place

I usually LOVE this place. The beds are amazing and the staff is really friendly and helpful. But today was a different story, the sign on the door said, «brb» but myself and a few others have been waiting for over 20 – 25 minutes. Not the right way to conduct business. coming from someone who has worked in the business for a while, pretty unprofessional for staff to leave without coverage, especially with only a few beds and short hours. Think I will be going some place else when my package is up.

I love coming here! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They have a new organic spray tan which I love!!! The results are immediate and last 10 days. I received so many compliments on my glow. i immediately refer them to urban tanz. The spray is evenly distributed by the staff and they wont let you leave until you feel satisfied with the results.

Finally. A tanning place that actually gave me some color! Most places are such a waste of time and money. Not this spot. One 8 minute tan in a stand-​up and I saw the difference. Keep up the good work in not cheaping out, and actually changing the bulbs!

Ok so I would like to start this review by saying YAY to not having to travel further than Brooklyn for an airbrush tan #sigh… and second thank you urban tannnzzzz and thank you spray tan girl lol
Ok so I would like to call myself a professional when it comes to tanning and tanning beds and lotions and all that good stuff. Ive had a few airbrush tans in my 30 yrs young some good some alright. However my spray here was so great. The girl was super sweet and put me right at ease since I was wearing almost nothing lol I could tell she knew her stuff like she directed me on what to do and how to do it and where to position myself here there etc. Ive paid over 100 dollars for a spray in the past (Not including tip) so when I was charged 65 I was a happy camper. I got the suvara solution I believe but I know the girl mentioned they offered an organic solution and some other quicker formula where you can shower sooner than later. I know the other options where I bit more cash but in all sincerity, after this spray ill def be back to try them all… oh and they have tanning beds!
all in all such a good experience all the way to when I was even walking out the door. My spray lasted about 6 full days before I noticed just a little fading.
I will def be back to this place

Perfect tanning spot in the hood, easy to pop in and grab a quick tan.
Prices are really reasonable and with the stand up you’ll get some good color. This winter I will totally grab a package to keep it from being months of endless suffering.

Urban tanz is the best tan experience in the city! I usually don’t reviews for anything but I was so happy with my tan that I felt compelled to share my experience. With this company you don’t have to worry about any of the issues that come along with tanning. They are extremely professional and helpful. Their amazing personalities and customer service made it easy for me to relax, unlike other companies where you feel rushed.
My tan came out amazing and it lasted for weeks. I’ve never had that experience with a tan that didn’t come directly from the sun. This won’t be the last time I’ll be there. Nobody believed I had a fake tan.

UPDATE! Just as the owner commented, we discussed many things in person. She was super friendly and very accomidating! She even offered me a free lotion packet for my troubles. Also noteworthy, she has impeccible taste in tanning lotion! As a tanning salon employee myself, I can say she picks the best possible lotions with every variety of price and type. I now work at a tanning salon so have the ammenties to tan for free but have a few sessions left at the salon and def. plan on using them up ASAP! :)

The operating hours of this place are absurd. Noon to 5 pm on Sunday? Also, sometimes the place is temporarily closed because the staff leaves for some mysterious reason. Moreover, the tanning packages expire if you don’t use them fast enough. Finally, they don’t accept credit cards, in the 21^st century — sounds like a money laundering operation to me.

I love this place. I go to the gym and usually just walk here to tan afterwards. For anyone who is an experienced tanner here in NYC, you will know that tanning packages are generally ridiculously overpriced (Beach Bum Tanning anyone?). But this has entirely changed since I’ve moved to Williamsburg and discovered Urban Tanz.
This past summer, Urban Tanz had an incredible deal: $ 99 for a month of tanning in any bed of your choice when you walk in. In regards to NYC tanning salons, this is an EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY rare deal to find. Some people may think it’s silly to go indoor tanning in the summer. But when you’re working everyday and missing all that lovely beach weather, it’s pretty much all you can do to get a tan.
The staff is very friendly and I will usually have long conversations with them after tanning. They make you feel very welcome. And while they don’t have many beds (I believe just three), I usually don’t have to wait more than 5 – 10 minutes to tan. They also seem to do a nice job cleaning the beds. The only issue that makes this place lose one star is the bizarre choice to have windows and window blinds surrounding each tanning room instead of walled rooms. Although the blinds are always turned so no one can look inside (not sure why you would have them open), it’s still kind of creepy. Urban Tanz: Please rethink this strange decision!
Anyways, here are some things I’ve learned about their beds since coming here. The standup bed is great if you want to preserve and maintain that natural tan you got at the beach or on your roof. Otherwise, I’m not sure if it’s good for getting a base tan. The «Ergo» bed seems like their strongest bed. It is great for developing a base tan and getting some color faster, but can often make you look more red than tan. Thus, the «Pepper» bed is my favorite. It is perfect for building that golden brown tan. Many people would rather go in the Ergo bed because it develops color faster, but you may risk being red for a party the same day. I say go in the Ergo and develop a base tan, and then maintain it in the Pepper bed. Plus, an Ergo tan will fade quicker than a Pepper tan in my opinion.

The girls that work here are smokin hot and know what they are talking about. I’m a newbie when it comes to tanning and the girls are not just smokin hot but extremely helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. This place is extremely clean and conveniently located.

I ran the Williamsburg bridge to get to this place, arrived by 430pm and waited in line for approx. 15 mins. At which point the lady at the counter said we probably wouldn’t be able to tan today because they take their last appointment at 445pm. We explained that we came all the way from LES and have been waiting since 430pm.
She said «Yeah, well I don’t get paid after 5pm, so … «
I laughed and walked out the door. I’d rather spend my money else where.

I had a really great experience here. I used to tan in the city, and the prices were so expensive and I found myself going broke because of tanning expenses and I only tanned once every 2 weeks!
This tanning salon is really much more affordable than the tanning salons I’ve been to in nyc. There are three bed choices, AND spray tan! If you want a great tan from the bed or the spray — this is the salon to visit.
Friendly staff, not pushy. So that’s certainly a plus. Overall a nice little neighborhood place that feels homey.

decent salon. 2 lay down options and 1 stand up. the beds were nice and so was the salon. the girl was helpful and didnt pressure me to buy anything. i paid $ 20 to go the full time in the highest pressure laydown. pricey to me but somewhat cheaper than the city. i smell like burnt skin, so it must be a good sign 8-​) alirght by me!

Best standard tanning salon in Williamsburg. Beds and salon are clean, staff is friendly, and never too crowded. Pricing is reasonable, and certainly cheaper than comparable tanning salons in Manhattan. $ 12 for a regular bed session.
I guess I’ll never get used to the price of tanning in NYC — it always seems like a rip-​off, compared to the prices where I grew up in New England — but hey, if you’ve got to go, go here. Most economical option is the 10-​visit package for $ 100, which drops the price down a bit.
No spray-​tanning offered here, but I think you’ve got a choice between a standard bed and a more turbo-​style one.

Only tanning salon in Williamsburg that has beds for someone who goes tanning consistently. The bulbs are always being replaced therefore you get the tan that you are paying for. The prices are reasonable especially for NYC and the place is always EXTREMELY clean. They have really affordable packages/​memberships and a very helpful staff. I’ve been going here for two years and can’t see myself going anywhere else!

The closest thing to a tanning salon that would be in your hometown. Prices aren’t bad, cheaper than any chain in the city, and you pay by how long you go in for. The place is clean, staff is friendly, and they have good beds. The only downfall is there is no spray tan.
