History
Established in 2010.
In January 2009, our New Year’s resolution was to no longer purchase anything that exploited people, the earth or animals. The first few months were incredibly difficult as all our regular shopping habits had to be relearned. Last-minute purchases were no longer possible as so few stores carry ethically-sound products, so planning ahead became crucial to succeeding. As the weeks went by, new routines became second-nature and a major unexpected benefit of our new lifestyle was emerging: immunity to advertising and impulse buys!
Nearly two years later, we are inundated with requests to help people make the same lifestyle switch that we made, and so Tread Lightly was born.
