A friend recommended Tim to me for the engagement and wedding pictures. He is amazing! My husband and I both felt very comfortable working with him. Tim is very funny and easy to work with. He did such an amazing job for our engagement and wedding pictures! I ABSOLUTELY loved it! So did all my friends and family!
In the middle of the wedding, he presented me a small photo album he secretly printed from the pictures from that day! It was so sweet! I loved it! His pricing is also affordable for such great quality! thank you Tim, for the beautiful pictures you captured!

My fiancée and I spent a large part of our relationship in New York and have sadly moved away, but really wanted to capture NYC in our engagement pics. I looked to Unilocal in search of a great photographer and I really found that in Tim. He was so responsive and answered all of my questions right away, coordinating a perfect weekend to fly out to NYC and schedule our pictures. He has such an eye for all of the places we really wanted to capture and the pictures really came out beautifully. We saw many other photographers as we transitioned to different locations and Tim really knew what he wanted so we were able to get a lot of pictures in several locations. He made my fiancée and I very comfortable, neither one of us is comfortable in front of the camera and he really guided us to some great poses and pictures! We used several of the pictures for our save-​the-​dates and we received so many compliments… Thank you Tim!!!

Tim was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! I contacted a lot of different photographers, and he was by far the most responsive which I greatly appreciated (others would take days to get back to me… he typically responded within a few hours). Before the shoot, I had loads of questions, all of which he answered quickly and with detailed care. On the day of the shoot, he made us feel super comfortable. He was friendly, fun, and funny, but still entirely professional. I had some ideas for photos I wanted to try and he was totally open to them all… no ego or attitude whatsoever. He told us we’d have the photos no later than 3 weeks later and he actually got them into us in under 2 weeks which I greatly appreciated, as I had told him we were on a deadline to get out our save the dates. Tim is absolutely amazing! He photographed my friend’s wedding a few years ago and my husband and I loved their photos so much that we decided to hire him for our wedding this past May. First there was the engagement shoot, which we did on a freezing day back in January in Coney Island (!). The photos came out absolutely stunning. Then the wedding, of course. Nearly 1,000 amazing photos! Tim and his assistant captured so many great moments. There is also a lot to be said about their responsiveness, timeliness, and overall joy and positivity. When planning such a defining moment as a wedding, knowing 100% that your photographer has your back is priceless.

Tim, his assistant Derrick, and his wife Vivian were amazing. My husband and I had a great time working with them for our wedding. Tim scoped out the neighborhood before meeting up with us, so he knew where to go to take the most beautiful pictures. He was also very comfortable to work with; he never rushed us even though I saw that he was keeping an eye on the time to make sure we weren’t late. When we received the pictures, we were floored by how amazing they looked. You would never be able to tell that our reception was in a dimly-​lit room! Also, Tim was very stealth. For some of the shots, I wondered where Tim stood because I don’t remember seeing him there at all! My husband’s colleague saw the pictures and immediately asked for Tim’s contact info for her upcoming wedding. We could not recommend Tim’s work more wholeheartedly. Thanks Tim!

Not only did our engagement photos turn out stunning but Tim made the photo shoot itself an amazing day that we will always remember. My fiancé and I felt very comfortable as Tim had a way of bringing out the best in us. He was receptive to our ideas and knew exactly what to say and do to create that perfect picture. What can we say that was not said otherwise by the other reviewers. We agree and we have the same sentiments!
We have been trying to work with Mr. Tim for quite awhile now. I have always swooned over Mr. Tim’s photos; clean, crisp, personal, and a unique eye. I have viewed many other photographers pictures and they absolutely do not compare with Mr. Tim“s, his pictures has that certain «je né sais quoi.“When we had an opportunity to hire a photographer for our sons «Dol» — Korean 1^st. Birthday party, we jumped at the chance to get Mr. Tim. We did have a hiccup regarding the timing of our event but that was well taken care of by Mr. Tim’s wife, Ms. Vivian. They gave us options and did not expect us to take care of it and leave us out to dry per say. If we had used another photographer, I’m pretty sure no options were given and would have left us to figure things out and to let them know.
On the day of my son’s birthday, Mr. Tim and his second photographer (sorry, we forgot his name) were professional and personable. And for the oddest reasons, we knew Mr. Tim and his second photographer were there but didn’t feel as if they were. They were like ninjas. That is how much of a great photographer Mr. Tim and his second shooter are and how professional photographers should be.
We have received our photos in a timely manner and we couldn’t be any happier with them. They are very responsive and easy to work with. Looking at the photos makes us want to hold the party all over again! Our expectations were met. If any opportunity arises to hire a photographer again in the future, we will definitely seek out Mr. Tim first.

I wasn’t sure what to expect on my engagement photo shoot, but my husband and I had a great time! It helps to be prepared with some ideas (we had balloons, which is highly recommended) and Tim did a great job with suggesting poses and specific spots. I also recommend bringing a friend or two as chaperones to hold your bags, etc. Most importantly, we love our photos — they turned out so much nicer than I ever expected.

This review is a bit overdue, ashamed to say. Tim shot our summer wedding, which was a two day event. Working with Tim was a pleasure from the time when we reached out to him to book our wedding. He responds to emails promptly and professionally. He was also very flexible in working out the schedule between the two days of shooting our wedding. But probably the best thing about Timecut is the quality of the work. Tim does a beautiful job with the photographs, we absolutely loved all of our pictures! He makes you feels comfortable even for two people who don’t like being in front of the camera. Another great thing was how quickly some of the pictures were available after the wedding. He even puts together a little video of the pictures the day after that can be shared with family and friends. He was really fantastic and we highly recommend him for anyone’s wedding!

Short answer: Timecut is one of the best value and quality photographers in the NYC area, and I would highly recommend Tim and his team for your engagement and wedding photos.
Long answer: keep reading! My husband and I reached out to Tim only 3 months before our wedding date. In that span of time, we did all of our wedding planning for an American-​Pakistani fusion wedding of 150 people in Philadelphia, 2 hours away from where we live in NYC. In the planning craziness that ensued, choosing Timecut as our photographer was the easiest decision we made. Tim and his wife Vivian are an amazing team, who made us feel comfortable and kept us informed throughout the planning process. As part of the package, Tim did an introductory engagement shoot and spent time getting to know us and our vision for the wedding.
When the big day came, Tim and his partner Eugene meshed seamlessly with the staff on-​site, coordinating our entrances, exits, prime photo moments, and making sure all of our guests were included in the photos as much as the bride and groom. Tim also made sure to schedule in private mini-​sessions during the day to get bride and groom portraits, which came out absolutely stunning. There were so many special moments and perspectives that Tim captured that we were completely unaware of, from small looks to the little details on my dress, that we are so excited to be able to cherish.
We are more than pleased with how the photos came out, and more than that, Tim’s kindness and humor was felt by all of our guests, many of whom complimented my husband and I throughout the day on finding such a great photographer. Thank you so much Tim, Vivian, and Eugene for capturing our day and making it beautiful.

Tim made our wedding day truly special. Everyone is smiling in our pictures because he tells the funniest jokes and he brings out these genuine smiles. Tim from Timecut was amazing to work with. My fiancé and I found him via Unilocal reviews, and we’re so happy we did! He was very responsive and professional, and he did a great job making us feel comfortable during the engagement photo shoot. We got the pictures back a couple of weeks ago (he has a super quick turnaround) and we loved them! If we were getting married in NYC, we would definitely ask him to do our wedding too — we would highly recommend him.

I contacted Tim several months ago about photographing our engagement shoot and he was extremely responsive and flexible throughout the whole process. My fiancée and I met a few weeks before he moved to India and we did the halfway across the world long distance for a year and a half. A major part of our relationship was built over all the trips we took to see each other and our shared love of travel is what brought us together. Once we got engaged, I immediately knew I wanted to incorporate the travel aspect into our photoshoot. Tim was extremely flexible in coming all the way out to a vintage plane museum in Long Island, even accommodating our request to reschedule a couple times. Throughout the photoshoot, he made us laugh and feel comfortable. And this is very apparent in the outcome — the photos are breathtaking. I am extremely grateful to Tim for making my vision a reality!

Long Overdue review. Tim is amazing, and his second photographer Eugene was too. They know exactly what poses and angles to capture. Making something from nothing, such as a tree and a bush becomes a Forrest when you get your photos back. He also makes you much more photogenic than what you expect. Worked really professionally and always on time. Their recommendations for locations worked out perfectly.

Tim and Vivian were great to work with since our first email to them inquiring about their photography services for our May wedding. I was very nervous about finding the perfect photographer for our wedding. It was the most important vendor and we wanted to ensure that we would have beautiful day and night photos. After looking at several photographers, we decided to go with Timecut. Vivian was always very responsive to our emails and Tim has a way of making you laugh and relax in any situation. Posing for photos can be a little awkward in general, but after our engagement session with Tim, we knew we were in good hands. He kept making us laugh and helped guide us on poses when we weren’t sure what to do. On our wedding day, he went above and beyond our contract to ensure we got the best shots. He truly has everything you would want for a photographer on your wedding day. His team was efficient on taking beautiful photos and was very time conscious to ensure we stuck to our tight schedule due to some limo mishaps. Tim shot our engagement photos, and we couldn’t have been happier! We had a great conversation before the date where we discussed what we wanted and he gave us potential ideas. On the day-​of, we were both a little nervous and I was worried we wouldn’t have time to do everything that we wanted, but Tim had such great ideas and even stayed extra time to make sure we had the shot that we wanted! He was also very encouraging and helped us relax, making the photos look more natural. We underestimated how important that would be in a photographer!

Timecut shot our engagement photo session on a sailboat on the Hudson River. From the time I contacted him, Tim of Timecut was very responsive and up for the challenge of taking photos on a moving boat. The best thing about working with Tim is his positive attitude and great sense of humor. He is a really sweet guy and made us laugh throughout the whole photo shoot, which totally took the awkwardness out of the photos. I was particularly impressed with how intuitive Tim is — he sensed when we were uncomfortable, when we needed a break, etc. and never asked us to do anything that didn’t seem natural. It is clear he not only loves his work, but he is excellent at working with people.
The photos came out FANTASTIC, despite having a windy day and a bit of a rocky boat. The turnaround time was also incredibly quick — we got our entire set of photographs in less than two weeks.
