Had to get a wisdom tooth extraction that had some twisted roots. He was meticulous, communicated with me very well and got he job done without having to put me under or do any unnecessary surgery. He was great. However he wouldn’t let me keep my tooth… apparently NY State considered it a body part… come on man it’s my body part– total BS. But I’d go back to him in a second.

As with others my case was not alone. They indicated they took the insurance in full with a reasonable co-​payment. 3 months later I got a bill for additional amount. I called them and they told me I had to pay them. They are untruthful in billing. BEWARE OF THEM. THE DOCTOR RUNS A SLEEZY OFFICE more interested in unwarranted billing then dental care.,

Dr. Santomauro’s work on teeth is fine but double check everything he bills you. Make sure you review with your insurance on covered fees before getting any procedure done and what he is charging you if it’s for a procedure your insurance doesn’t cover. The staff will not clearly explain what is covered and what is not. He will give you an estimated insurance coverage amount at the time of your services but if your insurance doesn’t actually cover it, then he will end up billing you the full out of network price which is a lot more than in network prices.

This place is TERRIBLE!!! My husband went there at the recommendation of our dentist. The dentist did not do any work (save take a 2 second peek in my husband’s mouth). We then received a bill from Thomas L Santomauro, MD for a whopping $ 75 DOLLARS!!! When we have talked to them to try to waive this exorbitant fee — we are met with hostility and downright rudeness. The staff is caustic and horrible. The dentist… well we wouldn’t know because HE DID NOT DO ANYTHING AND CHARGED $ 75 DOLLARS. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!!
