Eclectic people jumping around and dancing to some loud eclectic music. Free dance floors are the best and this one is right in the middle of the bar. Nice bartender, nice pour. People didn’t give a shit and wanted to have fun. Nice spot.

One star is too many! I was visiting Brooklyn from N.Calif. and was taking part in a cocktail party being held here. The NBA finals were on the giant screen TV so I looked forward to watching The Warriors, beat the Cavs. The seating in front of the giant screen looked rearranged for the big game and didn’t appear that well thought out. There were several empty chairs situated close to the screen but sitting in them would have blocked the view. There was a small spot off to the side that looked like a possibility. By placing my seat there it was possible that I might block access for the waitress so I specifically asked her«If I put this chair here will that be a problem» She promptly responded«no» After watching the game for awhile I left my seat to visit with my relatives, use the BR etc. and I returned to my spot to find the chair had been moved… not a problem… I found another empty chair and went back to my previous spot and resumed watching the game. Out of nowhere this guy sitting at the table behind me with a drink in his hand began shouting at me like I was some inconsiderate teenager, «That’s the worst place you can put a chair… you’re blocking that aisle… shouldn’t be sitting there! Blah, blah, blah!!! When I questioned his authority I was told that he is the owner! I’m not so sure that this was true; he looked to be in his thirties with a brownish month old beard(might have been a dye job) I explained to him that I had asked the waitress and she told me that it was OK, and this is when he called me a liar and pulled the chair away sending me sprawling onto the floor. If he was, in fact, the owner he needs some anger management therapy along with specific instructions on how to treat his customers with a little respect and courtesy. A seminar in seat arranging could also be beneficial. Being the proverbial outsider and not wanting to spoil my nieces wedding event I decided to let it go but I have to say that this«owner» should consider himself very lucky that none of my 68 year old bones were broken during the fall!

This place is just awful. It’s completely empty on a Saturday night and it feels extra empty because it has a huge open space in the center that reinforces it’s emptiness. It could try to be less of a club, and maybe be a romantic bar scene but they have a dj blasting such loud music that we just peeked in and had to keep walking. There are 2 better bars on that stretch, don’t suffer!

I live 2 blocks down and this bar has a very nice chill vibe. A little dark, romantic, but the photo booth makes it more fun as well(especially when drunk ofc!). Great place for a date. The only thing I would look out for is if you are planning to reserve space for a party of any sort. I had e-mailed through the website to make a reservation but nobody got back to me. I just walked over to the bar and asked if I could make a reservation. They gave me the phone number for Jay, the coordinator for reserving space. I texted him and I was able to make a reservation pretty smoothly so that was good. Couple of problems though: We had one table in the corner for 20 people so a lot of us had to stand or rotate and it was just cramped the whole night. Lastly, the one thing that really bothered me was that although yes, we had a lot of people, the waitress Alyson never asked if we wanted one check or several separate checks for the night which is fine but caused a problem at the end. When I looked at the bill, I noticed we got charged for 3 beers of one kind when we only received 2. I had mentioned I wanted a 3rd but I never got it so I just let it go since I figured she was busy and wasn’t a big deal. When I just asked Alyson(swear not in a rude manner at all, just telling her), she gave me the nastiest attitude ever saying«I DEFINITELY gave it to you but whatever. I guess I’ll take it off the bill» and grabbed the bill from me. I was sober as hell and we were there for 4 hours — I remember only receiving 2 beers. Maybe she got confused since she put it all on one bill or gave it to someone else and charged it to me. We brought at least $ 400 of money there with all our friends and food, but one $ 6 beer that I simply asked for, didn’t deserve such an attitude. I was willing to pay for it, I was just asking but when she reacted that way, I thought forget it. At that point, we were leaving anyways but we decide to go across the street to Brooklyn Public House for the rest of the night since I was annoyed at that point.

I like this bar. I love the music and general vibe BUTBUTBUT they always play the music too loud. It’s a place that doesn’t ever have a dance party but the volume punishes you for wanting to talk to friends. Please just think of chilling with the volume.

Great weekend brunch & drinks. They don’t have typical mimosa specials but the great food makes up for that.

I Usually don’t do it, but hopefully someone will take notice and change that disgusting waffle on the menu. I went for brunch, the bloody was whatever, and the lemon blueberry muffles tasted like somebody got them from the freezer, threw them on a pan and voila! This is your brunch. It’s too bad to have such good for such nice and cozy place.

Who knew?!? Apparently everyone but me. Such a great spot. I would recommend for a date night, cozy, romantic feel with the low lighting, candles and wood décor Drinks were delish. I started off with prosecco then went on to the Italian Lemonade yum yum yum. My husband stuck with his basic scotch. We ordered the Korean fried chicken and the Mac both were really good. We had three orders of the wings so it’s safe to say those were our favorites of the night. We went on a Wed night and it was a lively scene. Music playing great atmosphere. We will definitely come back. I can’t wait to try brunch.

We came to this bar because we had Brokelyn 2-for-1 coupons for drinks. It’s a sweet space on the corner with outdoor seating and we luckily scored a table outside for 4 just before a rush of people came by. The drinks are totally great(we had a gin gimlets, a bourbon cocktail, and some beers), but the food was variable. My veggie burger was like 3 pieces of thinly sliced mushrooms and an inch of soft cheese. Not very flavorful to boot. The Korean fried chicken was also bland. I did like the crawfish roll — spicy and tasty, but it was not nearly enough food for a meal(we all left a little munchy). The service was friendly but very infrequent — we waited ages to order food, reorder drinks, get the cheque, get the change, etc. Perhaps they weren’t expecting so many people on a Tuesday night? Still, I’d go again for the cocktails(which are decently priced even without the coupon) and the ambience.

tgg has a relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere and quality drinks to go along with it. the music is always on point, and although they do get busy, the service is still some of the best in the neighborhood. very happy with this addition to the fort greene/clinton hill scene!

Better than 1, 2, &3 stars. This is a great local spot that has a cool vibe, nice layout & awesome drink selection. There is no TV, but there is a projector for those special events on tv/cable. The kitchen serves up good food that fulfills snack attacks while enjoying drinks. As for other peoples comments on brunch, if you live in fort greene-clinton hill, YOUALREADYKNOW brunch on the weekend is a mad house everywhere in this area. My local drink tips are to try the Malbec, Rose, and the«feel better»(best answer to hangovers). Other pro’s are good live DJ’s(who spin vinyl), outdoor seating, friendly staff, & clean bathrooms. PS: ultra insider tip — there is a secret vinyl shop located in here. If you can find it, the Great Georgiana can and will order any records you want!

We’ve been here numerous times… and loved every single minute of it. The bartenders are really cool and laid back. The music is AMAZING! It’s hard to shazam the amazing music because of the phone signal. Please list every song that you guys play in the bar!!! I love it! :)

Unremarkable. I came on a Saturday for brunch with 5 friends. The service was super slow. There was only one waitress and a guy behind the bar(who seemed like he probably could have helped her out a bit). The food was just not bad but it came out at different times so that some of us were half done with our food before the last guy got his plate. My glass was dirty with easily visible lip marks on it. I really liked the outdoor seating and the place looks really cool. My guess is that once they get more clientele they will get more waitstaff and that will solve my issue with this place. That said, nothing about the food stood out so I probably won’t be returning, at least not for food.

If there was a way to give 0 stars, I would. The service is awful. The food is sub-par. They take 90 minutes to being your order and then tell you it’s not available. And do nothing to apologize. I live in the neighborhood and would love a great establishment in this spot, too bad this place isn’t it. The places right across the street – Brooklyn public and hoja santa have amazing service. Go there!!!

Only came here for drinks. It was around 5pm on a Saturday and we met a friend here. Nice open space with places to sit. I ended up getting a spiked hot chocolate and it was amazing. Definitely hit the spot. I don’t venture out into Brooklyn that often but my friend picked a really nice casual spot. Our server also split the bill for 7 – 8 of us, thank you!

The Great Georgiana is… great. I love their unique and delicious gin cocktails. It’s wonderful to sit at the bar next to the front windows when it’s sunny outside(and even when it’s not). The atmosphere is really lovely and I always have a good time here.

Happened upon this place as we were in the area. Both visits were pretty late in the evening as things were winding down. On our first visit we had an awesome bartender – his name escapes me, but he chatted us up and we had a good discussion on the makings of a good Negroni. The next night, different bartender – this one was a bit introverted but did make a good strong Negroni and Dark & Stormy. Ambiance is definitely chill in this place – we didn’t encounter any crowds, in fact the place was pretty empty on both our visits. Prices for drinks are average for the area. If I lived local this would definitely be one of my regular haunts.
