Awesome Vegan/Vegetarian menu. Absolutely love the vegeterian Chilly. And also love the concept of having such various deep seminars and discussions about todays government and informative topics of today.

This place is perfect for working, chilling and eating. Great WiFi. They should be packed. The café part needs some love. They make a great effort but seem to lack the tools to fully embody café status. Egg sandwiches are only amazing if prepped on a grill or stove so they come out hot. Microwave is bad idea since you’re pushing this organic fair trade vibe. Some of the décor lacks function, i.e. the tables in the entry way are for little people. The back has good seating but needs a vibe to make you want to sit away from the windows.

I loved the private space in the back, ideal for classes, a private dinner party, film screening, or live streaming. I thought that staff was very hands-on and supportive to ensure a successful event. Convenient location near the Atlantic Avenue transit hub.

I give this place 2 bright shiny stars for its location and décor. Also, the bananabread is tasty but very chocokatey(?) Strange. Anyway, overall, the commons Café leaves much to be desired… I’ve been here a few times just to ensure that they weren’t having a bad day, and each time the coffee was watery and blah. Furthermore, I was completely turned off recently when an older woman with glasses and a dingy outdoor vest, came in from outside reading the newspaper and started rearranging the muffins with her bare hands! Disgusting! Needless to say, I won’t be back.

I stumbled across this on my way to work and I decided to try it since I’ve never noticed it before. I got the matcha blueberry smoothie and the maple oats scone. The smoothie was interesting. You could taste the matcha but it was very subtle. The smoothie was mostly blueberry flavored but not that sweet. The flavors worked well together and I really liked it. Though I kinda wish it was a little sweeter. Definitely try if you’re looking for a refreshing drink that’s not too sweet. The maple oat scone was pretty good. The flavoring for that was also really subtle. If you’re an oats fan I would recommend trying that out also. This place also sells vegan ice cream, sandwiches, beer, wine, and fresh fruits. They had a plate of little plums and apricots for sale. It was adorable. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. They all sounded so interesting.
