NICKRICKETTS is my Hero. I was having the most terrible day. Four shops gave me the cold shoulder. The subway went haywire. But then Nick told me he could fix my Adorable little Honda bike that everyone thought was trash. Yep and for about 200 $ less than the nearest competitor bike shop. And he was Super PROFESSIONAL and kept me informed the whole time. He took his time and did it RIGHT! Now I can Roll RIGHT! Now my bike is Terrific again! Thanks! I even repainted it to Celebrate. I highly recommend Terrific’s Bikes!

Don’t waste your money. I came in for a new kick stand and to have them fix my rear rain guard as it was rubbing against my tire. I walked away with a broken gear shifter, a new rain guard that didn’t work in the rain(yay for mud up my back), and no kick stand — because they charged me for it and forgot to put it on. I didn’t realize they forgot the kick stand until I got home. I tried to come a few days later and they told me the guy who worked on my bike would have to confirm. Of course, he allegedly lies and told them he’d charged me only for the lousy, useless rain guard. I called 3 times and tried to work with them. But it was pointless. They told me of course Id get mud up my back riding in the rain. Because rain guards aren’t for that? And the kick stand? Never mind they have my old one there(because they remembered to take it off, just not put the new one on). Plenty of shops in the area. I’d recommend anyone looking for a shop save their money and time, and head to a place that actually backs up their work and parts.

The guys over at Terrific Bikes are super friendly and knowledgeable. I went in looking for a new bike, and they helped me find one that fit my purpose, was good for my frame and within my budget. I am «only» a casual biker and know just about the basics, but they gave me no attitude, didn’t try to push any product on me or made me feel«less than» in any way. They even changed and then cut the handle bars at no cost so that they would fit me better(what can I say? I’m tiny with short arms!). They offer a 3 years warranty, and flat tire change with just the cost of the inner tube, no labor. All in all it was a really sweet deal compared to some of what I had previously seen in the city. Its a really cool neighborhood shop, with a very nice, upfront and welcoming atmosphere.

Looking for an affordable, no frills bike shop with courteous, knowledgable staff? Look no further. I brought my bike in for a tuneup and it was done within a few hours. They were even able to adjust my gears when no one else has been able to fix my issue with them sticking. I’m one happy cyclist.

Never judge a book by it’s cover, and never judge a store until you go inside. I have passed this bike store for the last year and a half and always wondered about it, because to a casual observer, it never looks like anyone is ever in it. I had my chance today to go find out the real deal when I found a flat in my rear bike tire. Being the«fix-it-yourself» kind of lady, I watched a couple videos on YouTube and marched on over to buy a new inner tube and tire lever. I walked in and was helped right away by a very polite man who asked me all the right questions and double checked if I was getting the right valve type for my bike(schrader 4 eva!!). He also showed me a couple of options for a tire lever – I went with the one with the patch kit included. All together I paid $ 12 for the inner tube and patch kit, which seemed OK to me – but what do I know? I just want to fix my bike. Anyway, this place seems legit, and their prices for fixing flats for you also seemed reasonable(10 – 20 bucks, depending). 50 cents if you want to borrow a bike pump. They also have a lot of different types of bikes in stock, but I don’t know brands so I can’t really speak much on that. All in all, they seem like a good go-to business if you need bike parts and accessories, and they look like they know what they’re doing if you just want to take your bike in and have them work on it for you.

Adjacent to the bike store is a barbershop and that’s what I come here for. Tran cuts my hair. She’s very soft spoken and timid looking but she can really cut some hair. Don’t be fooled by her quiet demeanor. She’s just as good as the male barbers. The shop can get crowded on the weekends and a little noisy but If you can get past that you’ll end up leaving with a pretty good cut.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s not a super snooty hipster bike shop. They do good repairs fast. They don’t try to sell you things or bs you. They get your bike back on the road.
