Delivery is 5 stars. So fast, friendly. The vegetarian super taco compelled me to write this review. Oh my god. It’s so good. Others faves, combo Mexico and all its parts(taco al pastor, cheese quesadilla is insane), burrito de Tinga, cheese nachos w/Jalopeño, hard shell Tinga taco. If I ever leave the neighborhood I will miss this place the most

Tepango is the most important Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn. It’s cheap, byob, and open late. The drawing of Selena on the wall by the door is spot on. Huge portions and all fresh ingredients. I considered spending the night there once to be the first in line for breakfast. Solid munches, Tepango once was in a dream I had.

Tepango doesn’t offer you the run of the mill hand held burritos you’re used to. No, they come at you with a baby sized burrito that you have to eat with a fork and knife, and it is so worth it. Burritos come paired with yummy pico de gallo salsa and some wellmade guacamole(and i’m from california, so I know). The cheese is layered on top which somehow makes it even tastier. 10⁄10 recommend. I’ve tried both the Cecina and Carnitas burrito, both are great.

Ordered for pick up. Food was great. I wish whey gave me sour cream and cheese for the fajitas but that’s life. Next time I’ll ask. Food was very filling and ready in 10 minutes!

Tacos are fresh and pretty tasty. Everything is made to order. Super taco is probably the best thing on the menu, tho I’ve never tried any of the enteees. Guacamole is trash. Extremely salty and lacking in every other aspect. Don’t bother ordering. The staff is rude. Specifically the two women who close late nights during the week. Didn’t bother asking their names. Also not certain why the new rule is you have to order 2 of the same taco(can’t do one steak and one chicken) extremely odd. I’d only come back during a late night pinch.

I was very disappointed with the interaction I had when I walked into the store. I had called 15 minutes ago, to place an order. Whomever answer the phone, abruptly tool my order and jus hang up. Ok, so o figure they are busy and i walked downstairs to pick up the order myself. I order a chicken tinga burrito. First the burrito was just warm and when i bit into it, all i tasted was rice, chicken and beans and a mild taste of medium spicy chili. The presentation had a side of pico de gallo and guacamole but its not something i go back for. On top of the negative attitude i got when i picked up my food, i dont think i have an excuse to come back to this place not even for take out or if i was desperate. Its a shame because the tacos and tortas are pretty good. However everyone at the counter is not friendly, i greeted the lady at the counter by saying good evening, i gave her my name and my order so she knows and all she did was extend her hand out so i could pay, not even a thank you. I walked away and i said thank you to the lady but i wont be coming back.

This place used to be my favorite for 6 years. I order in for family at least one a week. Not anymore. Price went up. Stuff is rude. Why I cannot order one chicken and one beef taco? Place lost its charm. Guac lost its taste and most stuff! Too bad.

It’s embarrassing how much my husband and I order from here, nonetheless here I am posting it on the internet. We have tried almost everything on the menu, even things that seem questionable, as in, «how can that possibly be a good idea?» We have never had anything we didn’t like. All the ingredients seem super fresh and authentic. I became a vegetarian about 6 months ago and this didn’t slow me down at all — tons of great vegetarian options. Cheese chalupas with red sauce = bomb. No joke we are hesitant to move out of this neighborhood because we don’t know what we will do if we live outside the delivery radius.

was really skeptical of this place at first because it is a hole in the wall and the décor is outdated but decided to take a chance and the food was DELICIOUS I got the chicken tinga burrito and it was definitely one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. it’s massive(enough to split with two) and comes with salsa and fresh guacamole on the side. my boyfriend got the chicken tinga hard tacos and he loves those as well. super affordable too! 2 tacos for $ 5 they also served chips and salsa before the meal which was nice and the service was prompt !! I highly recommend coming here

Stopped in for a quick lunch today and left full, happy and impressed. Place was mostly empty when I got there around 1pm on a Saturday. I ordered an al pastor torta and took a seat — plenty of tables. The lady at the counter brought over some warm freshly-fried tortilla chips with a little cup of smooth, smoky salsa roja, and a tall glass of water. The torta followed shortly thereafter, a hot mess in the best possible way. It was wrapped in paper, warm and amply filled… one bite immediately confirmed they know what they are doing! Crisp-edged moist warm pork, creamy avocado, smoky charred onions, cooling lettuce, hits of sweet pineapple, sliced tomato, zippy pickled jalapenos, all on a light bolillo roll… this was a DELICIOUS sandwich with soul. And the tab for this feast of a lunch? $ 6. It’s clearly a family-run operation, authentic, homey and sweet… would definitely go back.

I found this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant walking down Myrtle Ave one day and thought I’d give it a try. Simply, it’s the BESTMEXICANFOOD I’VEEVERHAD. Authentic, delicious, flavorful… They melt queso blanco on top of their burritos! Need I say more?! Hands down the best burritos and quesadilla I’ve ever had. I could skip the huaraches again however. But there are more than enough things on the menu to make up for that. Give this place a try if you live in the neighborhood and haven’t yet. You won’t regret it.

This place is the jam. Without question the best food in a neighborhood with no shortage of good restaurants. Cool family business vibe about it, which is refreshing among the myriad of slick new bars and restaurants opening in the area. The food is straight forward, delicious, and relatively cheap. Pro-Tip: Get a spicy chicken burrito and a plain chicken taco — take it across the street to the Emerson for a beer.

Ughhhhhh I wanted to dislike this place so much so I wouldn’t come here every day for lunch, but I enjoyed my vegetarian torta($ 5.50) so much that I’m now forced to. Warm, filling, flavorful. My new spot, ughhhhh.

I’ve never been more obsessed with Mexican delivery. Seriously. This place is the real deal. I’ve been fantasizing about their enchiladas for weeks now. I keep ordering them and thinking I’ll be good for a while, but no, the next day, hunger strikes and what do I think to myself… «If I lived alone and had no one around to judge me, I’d definitely order those damn enchiladas for dinner for the third time this week!» All the food is incredible. And the delivery is extremely fast. LOVETHISPLACE!

This was the first place I went out to eat when I moved to Fort Greene(was taken by my new roommates who’ve lived in the neighborhood for 4 years). They literally said to me, hey, this is why you’re going to get fat. Enjoy. Also, they deliver. Also, don’t judge it by how it looks. LOL. But seriously– the décor, the building, the servers, the menu, it’s all very thrown together and random and not high-end, but the food is freaking ridiculous, and not that expensive, and they give you a TON of food. My two friends has platters, that came with like 300 things and rice and beans. I went with the carnitas cemita, which is basically a torta with cheese. FANTASTIC. Also, it has an A rating, so, it’s clean! And, it’s BYOB, which is also amazing. I’ll be back ASAP.

I should eat at TT every day for the rest of my life. Who ever even heard of a round burrito! This is the closest thing I’ve gotten to authentic since moving here. A $ 5 Guac and chips is enough to feed 5 people. Plus the name is fun to say!

I think about these burritos all the time. All. the. time. My now-girlfriend took me here on our first date, and while I was put off by the décor, my first bite of our shared veggie burrito made me understand. I’ve had their veggie burrito(good with or without cheese, but especially with) and their beef burrito, and they’re both delicious. If you want ~nice ambience~ and a ~tasteful dining experience~, go somewhere else. If you want a giant, damn good burrito, check out Tepango.
