I used these movers two weeks ago when we moved and i will tell you one thing DO NOT GO WITH THESE MOVERS
If you don’t want all of your new furniture ruined and half of your stuff on the side walk. I moved to the house next door to mine its not like i moved to another country. They left half of the boxes out side on the side walk and left so i called my family to help me move the boxes and they came bye the time we finished moving all the boxes it was 3:30 in the morning.
So basically i wasted $ 500 on that company to ruin my new furniture and make me and my family probably lost 10 pounds by moving those heavy boxes with my family. That is all they are good for.

Great movers. On time, courteous, careful with our belongings. Even walked an extra two blocks when no parking outside our old apartment. Overall great movers for the price, would recommend.

I used these movers in May 2015. They mean well. But we found out the hard way that you must be very explicit with how they handle your stuff. We have a scratched bed, and found one of the movers trying to cover the scratches with a marker. Not only that, but they used a dolly on the new wooden stairs. We had to tell them to stop that and carry the boxes. But it was too late; my landlord landlord became very angry afterwards because the dolly dented the new wood stairs.
You will find that they are one of the efficient and cheapest movers in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but you must watch how they pack your things, or it will get scratched.

What can I say… I like these guys. I originally planned to do a Zipcar run with my girl to move all her stuff from her apartment into mine. Then I did the math on the logistics of 2 people without dedicated moving equipment moving stuff down 6 floors of an elevator building to street parking on an area notorious for its lack of parking… factor the possibility of multiple runs and the non-​zero chance of a parking violation or 2… all of a sudden hiring movers makes a whole lot of sense for not that much more money. Frankly, I am glad I went with them. They are flat rate, quote decent numbers, and they have 3 guys so it’s 2 doing the moves with equipment, and one driving the truck (no worries about getting a ticket even with a commercial plate allowing delivery/​dropoffs). They know exactly how to get stuff in and out as quickly as possible. Emptying an apartment takes about 15 minutes, and getting stuff into mine is another 20. The rest is driving and getting the truck parked and unloaded The move started at 9:30a, and by 10:30a we are already done.
Well, if I do have a small FYI — it is that if you move into/​out of a co-​op apartment some supers want to see a certificate of insurance liability — these guys will need you to pay their insurance company for a copy… so ask about it in advance. I had to do some last minute moves to get it from them… but other than that, really… no complaints. I will totally use them again in a heartbeat, and frankly, so should you.

Sun Teen Day Movers was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking to schedule a move about a week out from my move-​in date. I gave the number a call and the woman on the phone couldn’t understand me, as I was in a loud area so she asked me to send her an email instead.
From the first email to the date of the move, things couldn’t have gone smoother. I was asked to estimate the amount of stuff I’d have to move (from a 1-​bedroom in Manhattan to another 1-​bedroom in Queens), and she gave me a VERY fair quote, considering I was moving to another borough. In fact, it was the best one I had gotten–
We communicated via email for the next week and on the day of the move, a 3-​man crew rolled up in a 22′ truck, 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Two men came up to survey the apartment and to see what they’d have to bring up from the truck, and once they started, they didn’t stop and got everything into the truck in an hour and 15 minutes… MAGIC!
I was delayed getting into Queens, so if I was able to beat them there, the move would have taken less than the 4.5 hours it actually took. Moving up to my new apartment took about an hour and a half, but they were efficient and never complained.
I was afraid that, after the move, they’d charge me more since I had a few more boxes and loose ends than anticipated, but they kept to their word and charged me what they said they would in the initial email.
I paid in cash (they ‘preferred’ it; pretty sure they don’t take credit cards) and tipped them nicely for getting everything done so quickly. The only drawback was that one of the movers did not speak English, and the other one assumed that I did, but unfortunately, I didn’t (much to the movers’ chagrin). If I had, it probably would have been a bit easier, but they were courteous, nice and did what they had to do.

We had a great experience with sun teen movers. Tiffany was very responsive from our very first call to the office and with only three days notice before our move date. Our move involved moving our stuff from a storage facility in westchester and from our current apartment in NYC and moving it to our new apartment in NYC. The crew was very careful with wrapping everything and loaded and unloaded quickly while still being careful. Nothing was broken or lost along the way! A very fair flat rate was quoted and they stuck to the quoted price unlike a lot of other movers that will try and change the price if you have a few boxes more than you estimated. Tiffany thought it would take 6 – 7 hours for the whole move and they finished in a little less than 6 hours — right on target! We would definitely use sun teen again and recommend them. I HIGHLY recommend Chen and the other 2 guys. As with nothing else that can possibly be simple or affordable in NYC I called this company up during my move, spoke to the female rep (I forgot her name Ashley maybe) gave her a rough estimate of my things with her assistance to even remind me of things I forgot. I gave her a time/​date and that was it. The guys showed up a few mins (5−10min) late no big deal morning traffic, but called 30 mins prior to let me know. They came in like thieves in the night packed and wrapped that shit up to perfection. I paid exactly what was quoted to me over the phone. They were not dragging ass, too chatty (prob because they dont speak english), or unorganized, and in exactly 2 hours later… I was on my way back to work. I love these guys :)

Amazing. My family relocated from Brooklyn to Atlanta, GA and Sun Teen Day moved our apartment + a garage/​storage unit of stuff in one day. They arrived promptly on Monday morning, ended up packing up the truck by 12:30pm and met us Tuesday/​next day in Atlanta with all of our stuff. They were very professional, with a no hassle service. Finally, the price we paid for it all was very fair. I would use these guys again and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Our move was smooth with Sun Teen DAY. We booked them for 4pm, at first we were skeptical about moving in later afternoon, cos winter gets dark around 5pm. But all the movers were very professional and fast, they wrapped whatever was needed to. Everything got moved faster than expected. They also helped us reassemble our bed and sofa. We are very happy with the price too!

Happy to take the time to write a positive review for this company. I hired them to move from Hell’s Kitchen to UWS. My condo bldg is near Times Sq which means moving is always a disaster. What separated this company from the four other companies I’ve used in the past, is that they maintained a high level of professionalism despite all the obstacles in our way, and was not taken advantage of when the whole move was completed. Initially, the truck couldn’t even get to my apt because a dump truck was spending about 20 minutes clearing trash from the sidewalk which created a huge backup stretching to the east side. After that, the truck had to circle around to find parking because its nearly impossible to find parking during mid-​day around Times Sq. The movers remained friendly and professional; never gave me attitude for these problems which were clearly out of my control. This was my main concern at the time because this company bills at a flat rate, not by the hour. Moreover, they were careful with my belongings and didn’t just drop them on the ground like I’ve seen other movers do. Everything that needed to be wrapped was done so. Great service at a great price.

I have used them to move people in and out of my apartments numerous times over the last 10 years at all hours. They are extremely fast and priced just right! Recently, I had purchased a yamaha piano, which they helped me pickup and assembled together flawlessly. Sun Teen Day is my Go to Movers.

This is the best moving company you can ever ask for. I’ve used them twice when I needed to do my moving. I moved once in Brooklyn and then 2yrs later from Brooklyn to Queens. They were quick and fast movers. They were very efficient and takes good care of your things. I trust them to do their work. The prices are fair and reasonable.
They speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Don’t worry, you will understand their English as well as yours. I remember calling other movers and I didn’t understand a word she was trying to say to me and kept telling me different type of prices. I got really frustrated and confused. I didn’t know what type of service I was getting for the price they were given but NOT Sun Teen Day movers, Sun Teen Day movers is very clear and precise and their reasonable flat price. I hate moving, but these guys made it as good as it gets! IT was so easy. Love the set price with no hidden charges. I told them what needed to move from point A to point B and she gave me a reasonable quote. The movers were very professional and wrapped my furnitures so it wouldn’t get any nicks or scratches. Everything got moved effortlessly and they helped me reassemble my bed and wardrobes. They made moving a piece a cake. Hope i don’t have to move again, but if i ever do, I would definitely hire them again.

We’ve moved at least twice and never re-​used or even recommended any movers — until now.
This was by far the easiest and only stress free move we’ve experienced. Not one item was damaged, the guys worked to get everything prepped and secured. They came prepared for the stairs and long hallways; made the move so smooth.
And I’ll admit, we were looking save a few bucks and really lucked out when a friend recommended them. We got way more than we paid for.
IF we ever move again (god forbid), I’m using them again.

I made my reservation with Sun Teen Day Movers a couple of weeks in advance of my move from my rental apt to my new co-​op. It was for the last day of the month and had to return my keys. It happens to be on a day of the nor easter where it snowed and had closed to 13 inches of snow. They held up their end and still came to do the move. As it was on a small street in a residential area where the streets had not been plow yet. They had to move the truck and circle the block each time a car puts up behind them to pass by. They also had to shovel the snow to clear a path to move the furnitures. Despite the poor weather conditions they did an amazing job. It was quick, not damages to my stuff, the staff did not complain and provide excellent professional service. On top of that, the quote I got from them was much cheaper than other movers I’ve contacted. I will definitely use them again when I move and I’ve recommended to many of my friends and colleagues who have used them as well. All were extremely happy and thanked for the great find.

I hate moving and with all the packing and unpacking, it stresses me out. I also get nervous about losing things and especially, having my most sentimental things get damaged or misplaced.
I cant express enough what a seamless process this was for me with Sun Teen Day. The movers were friendly and timely. It made my experience very stress free and the owner was very nice. This is definitely one of my favorite go to company for moving. The owner is very funny and accommodating. The prices are fair and reasonable.
