My parents used to come here for their weekly grocery shopping trip but they haven’t been here in years, until recently that is.
Their items are overpriced compared to a lot of the other Asian supermarkets on 86th Street.
The floor near the meat and fish section is ridiculously wet. They need to get it together because people could get seriously hurt.
I only come here to buy their snacks because a lot of other Asian supermarkets don’t offer it but they are really expensive. The things I do for snacks…
The lady working the cash registers are not the nicest people in the world. My only tip is to pay for your stuff and move on with your day.

Its close and very handy if your short on an ingredient for a recipe at the last moment !! Decent prices, not too pricy. If you live around the area its a supermarket at a very convenient walking distance.

This supermarket is smaller than other Chinese supermarkets I’ve been to — whether it be in 8 avenue or Chinatown. The aisles are small and a bit crowded. I wouldn’t buy fruits and vegetables here because everything looks brown with fruit flies dissecting the produce. I usually buy seafood and meat here and it seems fairly fresh. The cashiers are a bit cranky at times, but they don’t give you major attitude (I mean… it’s probably from being on their feet all day).The snacks here are cheap to buy and Sun Hing has a wide variety.

The aisles are very neat. Very easy to find items. Make sure you check their expiration dates before purchasing. Had purchased expired bake goods before but they were very accommodating when I went to return it

This is the biggest supermarket around 86street in Brooklyn, I come here food shopping very often, but recently I rather walking all the way down to another supermarket buy pork, because this supermarket all the pork smelly even after cook the pork still smelly. some of the fish are not fresh and the cashier are very rude not nice .but I still come here buy another stuff. (猪肉有一股很臭很难闻的味道，即使用烧开的水烧过再煮那股臭为还在，鱼好多都不新鲜（除了会游水的鱼）还有收银员很不礼貌。

This supermarket gets so much business from me and my family. We buy all our grocery here. It is like a Hong Kong supermarket, typical Asian supermarket. This is a very popular spot for a lot of Asian families.

Super expensive — yogurt milk is $ 4 vs. $ 2.29, ice-​cream $ 5+ vs. $ 2.50. But the 1 star is for being extremely rude and patronizing to the elderly. 對老人家非常沒禮貌。

convenient place to shop since it is right by the train station (25th Ave in brooklyn) so I can stop by after work. other than that, there is parking and I can usually find a spot (although it is tight). prices are more or less the same as other Chinese groceriy stores in the area. this place has everything (fish, produce, meats, herbal stuff and groceries etc). You see non-​chinese folks shop here too which is cool.

Im a big fan of Hong Kong market in Manhattan’s Chinatown. For the Bath beach area this is the only SUPERmarket for all things asian. Selection is pretty good, i just wish it offered more.
Japanese beer selection is pretty sweet, produce is usually fresh quality, meat is predictable but nothing to brag about, fish looks alive somehow (I’m cautious of seafood).
Nothing toooo exciting but asian people can rejoice, and foodies can take solace.

I’ve been coming to this supermarket since I was a child. It’s an Asian grocery supermarket haven. It has everything that a typical Asian supermarket has. The food items are moderately priced and the employees are hard working people. I remember when I was a kid and I dropped a watermelon here and the owner of the store didn’t charge my parents and they even gave me free candy.

Great prices on seafood and vegetables! Seriously, today I bought a cantaloupe for only $ 2 here! And, I got a head of lettuce for $.97. Compare THAT to the $ 1.50 at Pathmark. $.50 may not seem like a lot but in the grand scheme of grocery shopping, we all know that change can really make a difference. (:
Anyway, they have a small parking lot in the front. Be aware that when I say small, I mean SMALL. There are probably all of 6 parking spots.
It’s not the cleanest of markets but then again, what seafood and meat market is ever *clean*? Exactly. None!

Love it! Few blocks away from my house If you live in this area should definitely check it out, have alot of snacks very clean and their staff are very nice. Always buy food here every sunday

This is one of the hugest asian markets I’ve seen. It has any product that you could want, a great produce selection and meat/seafood.The prices are really good though a bit higher then the small chinese markets on 86th street but its much more convienient as you can buy all of your groceries here in one place.
They also have alot of really cute ceramics and good cookware like Woks and steamers, and a good chinese herb counter.

For those of us that live deep into the outer boroughs don’t have as many alternatives for food shopping than Manhattanites. That said, the places that are local to us have a good selection of groceries that will keep our food trip few and far in between.
Sun Hing is to Hong Kong Supermarket as Coke is to Pepsi. Same stuff different labeling. The market carries a fine selection of fresh fish, meats, fruits, veggies and canned and packaged asian goods. This place is fairly convenient for those near 25th Avenue, near the D trains. No need to trudge all the way to Manhattan (or even Brooklyn) Chinatown to get your ramen and bok choy.
