Best sushi in the area. They have a deal in which you buy two special rolls and get the third free. For $ 20 you get a satisfying dinner for two people. Best roll here is the magic roll. Atmosphere in the restaurant is also great, not as loud and tacky as some of the other restaurants in the area

I expected much worse for the price; 20 $ ayce. It was all pretty good. I don’t eat sushi so I cant vouch for it but plenty of non seafood fried deliciousness available. Really cheap and sat down right away on a saturday night. My girlfriend says the sushi is good. Changed from 5 stars to 3 when girlfriend pointed out they ‘coincidentally forgot’ to bring out any of the«expensive» items we ordered. Some items have a limit and they brought out zero of anything we ordered that had a limit.

This place is Awful! From the appetizers to sushi to service. If you have ever had sushi. I recommend not to come to this place. The fish they use is terrible alone. After complaining the server asks of me to come another time and fish will be better. ?? What ?? After all the problems she takes it upon herself to add 20% gratuity on my check that she does not deserve.

Came here with low expectations therefore i wasn’t disappointed. We went at dinner time and it was $ 20 per person. We were able to order a multitude of rolls that tasted fresh. The only issues with the rolls were that many came deep fried though this wasn’t specified on the menu resulting in very strange flavor/texture combinations. It was ok for the price but I wouldn’t return.

Food is good but tipping is mandatory regardless of your party size. They don’t post it anywhere. Thus is a crock

My friend and I come to this restaurant all the time for the All-You-Can-Eat sushi deal. The lunch AYCE is $ 13.95, which not only lets you pick from sushi and special rolls but also has appetizers and other things like fried rice and teriyaki. The lunch menu has a smaller selection of special rolls compared to the dinner menu, but it still makes for a varied list of choices. The dinner AYCE is about $ 20 or so, which is still a steal. The dinner menu has more options than the lunch menu and includes more appetizers, special rolls, sashimi, and BBQ teriyaki options. I prefer this menu since one of the special rolls(Fancy Dream roll — shrimp tempura with avocado and mango on top) is my all-time favorite and I always get it. I would also recommend getting the spicy crunchy shrimp hand roll, it’s really good and another item I always order. The sushi, while not the highest quality, is just fine for the price you’re paying. I’ve never had any issue with the fish and always thought it tasted fresh. One of the only issues I’d have with the place is that, when you check off a number of items on the AYCE menu, they always tend to forget a few and leave some rolls or pieces out. Usually my friend and I just ask for another menu and check off what they forgot and have that served to us later. With that being said, compared to a lot of the other AYCE places, this restaurant gives you a great deal. You get plenty of choices for a decent prices, and all within a relatively quiet, nice atmosphere. The servers are always nice and the food itself comes pretty fast. If you’re in the Sheepshead Bay area and are looking for some decent AYCE sushi, I would definitely recommend this place.

Shinjuku deserves four stars for the $ 19.95 all-you-can-eat dinner menu. The food is always really great, which is why I am a regular here. It has a bigger AYCE menu than other places I’ve tried, mostly because of the addition of various skewers. There are a ton of appetizers, soups, salads, sushi, noodles, rolls, and special rolls. I’ve enjoyed almost everything I have tried here. I recommend only ordering one special roll though, because they are huge, and they will charge you $ 1 per piece you don’t finish. The food is always fresh and brought out quickly. I love the tea that they serve and I always drink like 6 cups of it. Definitely check-in to Unilocal for the free ice cream — I personally am in love with their green tea ice cream. My only gripe is that the service here is hit or miss. The ladies that wait the tables are very absentminded and don’t tend to the customers much. We often have to wave them down for refills or to get our check, which is hard to do because a lot of the time they are on their phones, or just not paying attention. It definitely doesn’t deter me from returning though. So as long as you’re not in a rush, this is a great restaurant to get your fill of Japanese food.

Seems everyone just comes here for the AYCE, so what did we do? Bingo! Came here for the AYCE lunch special. For $ 13.95, we felt there was nothing to lose since it’s the cheapest(and really only) AYCE sushi restaurant in the area. We came here on President’s Day at about 12:30pm and the restaurant was completely empty. Not a single customer. Pro: We had the whole restaurant/service to ourselves Con: What does that say about the food?. Knowing the area really well, we knew these circumstances were due to the fact no one really dines in in the area on a weekday in the afternoon so we were less worried about the food quality. The AYCE menu was pretty decent for the price point. There were soups/salads, appetizers, tempura/teriyaki, sushi, sushi hand or regular rolls and special rolls. We grabbed a pencil and began marking down our selections. We basically went all out on the sushi and also ordered a few other dishes. Here’s our overall thoughts: Sushi — We ordered at least 1 of every type of sushi you could order here. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The pieces weren’t enormous, which bodes well for those who fill up fast on rice. Special Rolls — We ordered 1 Monster Roll, which came in 6 pieces. We really liked the flavor of it, but the pieces were HUGE so beware of ordering special rolls. You can easily fill up fast on these bad boys! Tempura — We ordered the Shrimp Tempura(at the recommendation of Elsie W.) and the order came with 2 pieces. The tempura was really fried to perfection! It wasn’t overly fried, but was very crispy and we loved the fried flakes on it. A definite must-try here! The only downside to the AYCE was that there was no Sashimi offered. That was a small bummer, but for what we paid and the quality of the sushi, we didn’t have many complaints. We were surprised at just how good it actually was! I’m not sure if we would ever come here for dinner since it’s more expensive at $ 19.95, but there is no doubt we will be coming back here for lunch!

This is by far the best AYCE place I’ve ever tried. They have a wide variety of sushi and chinese food to choose from. This is perfect for a night out with friends, a date or just a post-workout meal. It’s $ 14/person before 3:30pm and $ 20/person after(extended menu). You can order as much as you want for 1.5 hours; just make sure you finish it all. They also have a regular menu for those who aren’t in the mood to eat a lot. Food is great, area is clean and service is relatively fast. No signal within the restaurant so you won’t have to worry about your date spending too much time on their phone: p There is a tv and the area doesn’t usually get crowded so it’s a nice place to study if need be. Definitely recommend

I came here because I was in the area and after checking out the reviews. To say that it was disappointing is an understatement. It was the worst sushi I’ve ever had at a AYCE place. The rice was falling apart as soon as you pick up off the plate and the fish quality was bad. Service was poor also. I rarely give servers any issues or disrespect but they sure deserved it that night.

All You Can Eat sushi for just $ 20! Seriously you just CAN’T beat that deal anywhere. I know, I know this part of Brooklyn is very much out of the way for most people, but still it is soooo worth it. My companion & I came here specifically to get the all-you-can-eat special. Be forewarned however, this place definitely gets crowded, and even when you get a table service can be a bit slow to get to you because its just that busy. Still, when the food comes out its all worth it trust me! We both ordered pretty much every roll off the menu including the Golden Dragon Roll, some kind of fried fish tempura with cream cheese roll, and the Dancing Eel Roll and more that I didn’t even get a chance to jot down. But they were all GREAT. We also ordered a round of BBQ chicken on skewers, which were oohh so savory :)

This is my go to place when i’m craving for sushi. I’ve been here when it first opened up and now i’m finally writing a review. The AYCE lunch and dinner has many different options. I’m here almost twice a month. The workers are super friendly and attentive. In the beginning the place barely had customers but now every time I go this place has most of the tables filled. The food doesn’t take too long and is always delicious. One of the best restaurants on Sheepshead.

$ 20 all you can eat here. Like all the other AYCE places in Brooklyn, the cooked food is more appetizing than the sushi itself. The sashimi appetizer platter should not be ordered since the fish are near frozen. The must try thing here are the bbq items and the spicy salmon tartare.

This sushi restaurant you can order a la carte from their menu or you can have the all you can eat dinner for($ 19.95). We opted for the AYCE menu. Some of the items you must order are the ones that have a limit. You can only get one sashimi appetizer with 6 pieces sashimi, only two sweet shrimp sushi, and only two sea urchin sushi. The fish here is pretty fresh. The sweet shrimp sushi and sea urchin are good. They have a lot of special rolls, but you can’t try them all unless you have a large group. I recommend ordering a couple at a time so you don’t over order. The only downfall here is the rice. It taste like regular rice and was a little on the hard side. For sushi one of the most important ingredient is the rice. This place could’ve been a lot better if they made better rice. Lastly, I checked in on Unilocal and got free ice cream. Yay!

Quite an disappointing experience for me, perhaps I’m just not used to these type of All you can eat sushi places where you order off the menu instead of go up and get the food yourself. At $ 13.95 for lunch it does seem quite like a nice deal at first sight but honestly their food I thought weren’t really all that fresh and tasty. I personally liked the special rolls more probably because it’s deep fried. The shrimps I thought were decent but the fish and chicken I’ve tried left me hoping for better. When we got here we were the only table so I expected our food to come pretty quickly but really probably took them at least 15 – 20 min for our first plate to come. Through out the meal there were few missed orders that we ended up just asking for more and quite a bit of going back and forth. Personally its probably not a good system with just checking off the items as it seems the chefs could miss them especially later on when there are more patrons coming in. One positive note is that even though they posted a 90 min meal limit we ended up staying pretty long probably 2+ hours mostly because while we’re waiting for the next set of orders we would have not much to do but look at menu and check off more items haha. In the end we were pretty full and pricing was it is a good deal but for the amount of the wait and the food quality I would personally rather pay more to places like nori nori where I can eat at my own pace for the all you can eat sushi experience.

This AYCE sushi buffet is decent. However, I am not a fan of the idea that Ikura(salmon roe) is not on buffet menu even though uni is. It’s my favorite there 1 star is lost. The cooked foods were decent, chicken terriyaki was tender, shrimp was way overcooked, salmon was typical, tempura was fine(sauce not to my liking), chicken Katsu good, chicken fried rice bland and tasteless, chicken udon noodles were ok but the chicken was definitely lacking. By the way these cooked portions are pretty large so be careful as you order them if they do not specify pieces because like all AYCE places, they charge extra for leftover food. Decent types of special rolls, typical sushi and apps. My parents found their food to be just ok. Said there wasn’t much flavor. My father did like the uni though and thought that was very good and as an uni eater, i take his word for it. The tea was roasted which was nice and the lady who served us was nice, however, might have become a bit appalled by the amount of food we were able to put away: P It was an ok place and the only one in sheepshead bay that is AYCE so they have that in their favor. I prefer a place closer to my house which is always packed with comparable pricing.

I’m probably going to be the bad person that’s gonna give the bad review, yup. So I really wasn’t expecting much knowing that it’s an AYCE in Brooklyn but I wanted to keep my hopes a bit high. Service was attentive but there were dirty tables everywhere when my boyfriend and I walked into the restaurant(mind you, they weren’t that busy on a Friday night). Here, they give you little menus to check off what you want, pretty standard. The food came at a reasonable time so no complaints there. The thing that really set us off was the quality of the food. All the sushi we ordered were filled with avocado, like big chunks of avocado, it was like we ordered avocado rolls but with different sauces. It was extremely disappointing. It’s great that they have such a big variety of food on their AYCE menu but I’m here for the quality. If a sushi restaurant can’t even perfect a simple roll, what else on their menu can they perfect? Am I asking too much?
