I ordered a plain large pie to go. The crust was soft and doughy. More cheese than sauce. Sauce was very thin and lacking robust-ness. I asked for a side of sauce. For an additional $.50 I got a tiny amount of sauce and it was cold. What use do I have for cold sauce? They didn’t offer to warm it up either. Smh. They also sell specialty slices but I didn’t bother to try as they seem to have been under a light for many hours. Basic pizza. Average prices.

I’ve always liked this place isn’t the finest of pizza pie but there are so many options in New York your head will spin. It’s a small place with a few tables. It more to me a eat and run kinda place.

This place is right off the Marcy Ave stop, so I pass it on my way home nearly everyday. The first time I came I had the caesar salad pizza, which I was not a fan of. They put way too much dressing leaving the pizza tasting only like Caesar dressing. It was so soggy I had to wipe it off and still couldn’t taste anything else. I came back a second time and decided to try a regular slice of cheese pizza. This was better, but just your basic slice of pizza. At least my daily pizza cravings gone.

I went back this past week to this same pizzeria after 16 years(I live in the west coast now) … I use to come and eat as a kid. The memory of this delicious pizza is still the same and omg was the pizza and sauce soo delicious !! Not sure what other pizzerias may be near by now that the neighborhood has definitely changed over the years. However I do recommend the pizza it’s so delicious and you won’t be disappointed. My family who lives near are regulars to this place. I miss this pizza as we speak !! Sooooo delicious!

Not sure why this place got so many rave reviews unless scarcity of pizza joints in the neighborhood makes you relish whatever slice you can get. It wasn’t thin crust, it was bland in taste, with the sauce being saltier than I like and with fewer herbs than I would have preferred. The cheese and the soft crust made me think if the $ 1Slice joints. The place was small with friendly, efficient service but I wouldn’t have the pizza there again. Hope it was an off day.

Big variety of pizza toppings. Their slices are pretty good but if there are a lot of toppings on it beware of all the oil that might be on the top after they heat it up. Big slices too. I ordered the tomato and garlic also a margarita slice. They were alright. I have to come back to try the penne vodka slice.

Real mediocre Chicken Pasta. This place has the aura of that they dont really care if the food they serve is good or not. Maybe the pizza is better though.

The Pizza is good and they have a lot of variations, I stick to pepperoni or cheese. It not a big place there are a few seats for eating inside. The place is clean and the food is inexpensive.

From the outside there is nothing to suggest this place is anything different from the thousands of other pizza holes in New York. The fact it’s under the Marcy Ave JMZ stop doesn’t really build any more hope. But it’s as simple as their pizza is just really, really, freaking good. They say Brooklyn has the best pie and I’d say this is the kind of place that built that reputation. Their chicken caesar pizza is so overloaded with chicken it’s awesome. Their other speciality pies are decked out too. I’m so tired of seeing a speciality slice with 3 pieces of broccoli and 4 tomato slices for another 2 dollars. Too many places jack you on minimal toppings or don’t understand the concept of cutting ingredients to make them bite-size and more diffuse on the pizza. Yes, I said diffuse – it’s a science here. One slice, you are stuffed. Two slices, you are hosed. They have all the goodies too like garlic knots, Sicilian slices, knishes, 50 different kinds of juice. It’s not just the quantity and the good prices but the pizza is simply good. A solid bottom crust, unlike a lot of flimsy NYC pies, interesting combos besides the basics, loaded with toppings and rich tasting. I have to discipline myself from going here every time I get off the train – one of the best pies I’ve eaten here.

Fabulous pizza in the hood. My husband and I wandered in on a rainy day waiting until the rain cleared. Their pizza and rolls are great. I would give them 5 stars if they decided to deliver to my apartment. Otherwise, they are great and I plan on going back.
