History
Established in 2009.
In 2009, Ryan Boran wrote his first feature film called Devils and Dust. The story is about a young woman who travels halfway around the world in search of her father. The film was written and produced on what Ryan calls ‘a global stage’; filming in Idaho, throughout the southwest of the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and the upper Florida Keys. His film recently received a warm welcoming in downtown Manhattan, and Ryan is seeking distribution of the film.
His second feature film, called Tenebrae Lux, is currently in production filming in the Mojave Desert, New Orleans, and Brooklyn, with plans to film next year in Iceland, the Atacama Desert, and Nepal.
Ryan believes that the gap between Hollywood productions and Independent filmmaking will soon be filled due to the availability of cameras, software, and hardware needed to make a film on a smaller budget.
In 2011, Ryan moved his studio and base of operations to Brooklyn, NY, where he runs his production studio.
Meet the Business Owner
Ryan B.
Business Owner
Ryan Boran was born and raised in Naples, Florida, where he spent much of his time on the water developing a strong appreciation for nature. He moved to California in 1993 and began his bachelors of science in Ecology and Evolution at the UC, Santa Barbara, completing his last year of education by studying in Nepal and Guatemala.
After graduation, Ryan moved to Alaska where he worked studying bald eagles, salmon, and building small, energy efficient cabins. He remained there for nine years, although most winters he took off to explore places all around the world. He traveled by boat & camper venturing into Baja, the Bahamas, Central & South America, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Encouraged by many to start documenting this unique lifestyle, he bought his 1st professional grade video camera in 2004.
Eight years later, Ryan is now a proficient cameraman, editor, and audio technician specializing in cinematic productions.
