Danny the Maltese got his first grooming here today and he looks adorable… neat, clean, nice cut, friendly people. No problems.

Charwyn, I think the photos speak for themselves. Trying to attribute the bruising/​cuts/​redness to a common Schnauzer skin condition, comedones, instead of the rough grooming that occurred is really disappointing. I explained to your groomer that the medicated shampoo was for comedones during the short consultation. Anyone who knows about dogs would know that Schnauzer comedones look very different from the bruising/​cuts shown in the photos. Our dog has been groomed countless times and has never been returned with bruising/​cuts. It’s really sad that your groomer won’t own up to mistreating our dog, I honestly hope he is better to other people’s pets.

Can’t speak highly enough about Pooch Purrfect. Charlie is so excited to go during the day and hang out with his dog friends, and he comes home exhausted and happy. We live close by, so the PP staff will drop him off in our apartment if we are going to be home late, even on relatively short notice (and put him in his crate/​feed him/​whatever). There seems to be plenty of space for the dogs to roam and play, and I know they get taken out for pack walks during the day.
The staff is super friendly, and they seem to know all the dogs well. Haven’t seen anything at all so far that would cause me to question their reliability. And if you buy a multi-​day package, the price by-​the-​day is actually quite reasonable. PP also has a decent selection of toys/​food/​supplies.
Convenient + quality = happy dog/​happy dog parents. Thanks Pooch Purrfect!

The staff at Kiki’s are the best. They are all so sweet and seems to really know and care for every dog. When I run into them with my dog randomly she is excited to see them which means they treat her well. So thankful to have them in the neighborhood.

I often look to Kiki’s to check-​in on my cat while I travel. She’s not the friendliest of cats, to say the least… Because of her finicky demeanor, to my knowledge, they are pretty much in and out of my apt., putting out fresh food and water. Thankfully they can put up with my cat’s hissing…

Our dog looks great! We have a long-​haired rescue dachshund who is terrified of everything but they did a great job in less than half an hour. We made an appt and everything went very well. We are very happy with the grooming and service. Thank you!

Kiki’s is great — our dog Maya is always excited to go there, and always tired out and happy when she comes home. We’re semi-​regular customers (about once a week daycare + boarding when we’re out of town), and feel like the staff really knows and cares about our dog. Without being asked, they tell us if anything was off (like, if she didn’t want to go on a walk or if she had an upset stomach) and they even know her favorite spots to be scratched. Maya does a full-​body wag when she sees any of the people who work here.

Kiki’s has become our neighborhood best friend. We started taking our dog there for grooming a few months ago and have always been pleased with their service. Reasonable prices, never any strange nicks or cuts, and they are very accomodating to our dog’s quirks and behavior issues. We then began using them to board our dog when we go out of town. They shine every time! It is so hard to leave your pet for days, but the staffers at Kiki’s greet him with smiles and treat him like their own. We call almost daily to check on him and they are always happy to provide updates. So happy we found Kiki’s!

Took our Shih Tzu to get groomed today. He came out amazing! Kiki’s treats our dog with love and care. Lost a star because I dropped the dog off at 12 and got him back at 4:45 other than that they’re great!

I wanted to write a review about this place because, as a dog owner, I have had some bad experiences with a lot of groomers in NYC. I have nothing but good things to say about this place, though. I can always schedule a last minute appointment and the groomer and counter person are both super nice. My dog always comes out looking great and I have no concerns that he’s being mistreated in any way. No complaints here. I’m a regular now.
