Palacio Chino is a great place to grab a quick bite or stay and eat. Compared to most other Chinese takeout places, this restaurant actually provides a decent seating so you can dine in. Taking everything in account, it’s a great little place.

I’m not suggesting you travel over an hour to get here like I did, but I was glad to check out Palacio Chino. The pollo guisado offers a massive amount of food for $ 6.95, as the chicken stew is augmented by white rice and red beans. It’s a simple dish with brown sauce, peppers and onions. There’s no description of the components of the special Chinese soup, so I played along with the mystery and ordered it. The pork was the best part of the noodle-heavy soup, which also includes uneventful chicken and shrimp.

The best Chinese and Spanish food in the area. Try the sweet plantains. They deliver fast too. They speak Spanish here which is cool.

Definitely your neighborhood go to for your Chinese/Spanish blend fix… With that being said, first time ever I had a unpleasant experience at Palacio Chino. It’s small and probably petty, but we didn’t get the complimentary perfectly toasted, buttered slices of bread you get when seated, secondly, I wanted a small salad to go with my tostones and shrimp in garlic sauce and I got a straight up «it doesn’t come with the ORDER .I was not happy! I would have been happy if he would have brought out 2 slices of tomato and some chopped up lettuce. And it wasn’t even the salad that I was a bit upset. It was more about just the way he completely shut me down… The food was good as usual, but this makes me think twice about going back.

Food comes fast and delicious! Also better than your typical Chinese takeout place! I’ve been there twice and will go back every time I am around! :)

This place is HORRIBLE! What a mistake. I meant to go to Corona, 1 block over. I ordered beef stew. Looked and, smelled horrible. The white rice tasted like dishwater. The place looked dirty. I had 1 bite and left. Don’t waste your time or money.

Nuevo Palacio is kind of like the ugly ‘mutt’ of Sunset Park. I find neither the Chinese or the Spanish cooking particularly inspiring here(even by cheap takeout standards). I certainly value this place as a convenient delivery option, though. The lunch options are solid value at 4.95−5.95 a platter, though not the best in the area. Delivery for workday lunch takes a bit long – 25−40 minutes depending on time. The dining in experience is fine, though the absence of green sauce, chili oil, or any other superior condiment on the table is troubling. The interior feels frozen in time, many decades back. Somehow it winds up being a bit charming in its old, ugly oldness. The lomo salteado is off-puttingly sweet. I would also steer clear of the oxtail stew, which had an awkward coating that lacked the crispness, savoryness, and overall structural fortitude of a good breading. There were also disconcertingly large hunks of completely unrendered fat around many pieces. I would not have minded the fat if it was a. in lesser quantity and b. seemingly less raw.

There’s nothing that resembles a palace here! I use to eat here occasionally until I saw the owner dust off the bread that patrons left behind and then serve it to incoming patrons. NEVERAGAIN!

I have been going here for the past 6 – 7 years and i love their chichorrones and some other plates that I cannot recall as of this moment. Overall, this is a great place for a quick meal and affordable too, but wish there were more selection of Spanish food.

HAILHAILHAILHAIL!!! Been eating here for years and it is the best chinese/spanish food you will ever eat period. Amazing pork fried rice with steak and onions… to die for. Ropa vieja and their pork chops are addicting. Their sweet tea which they give complimentary is outrageous!!! Try their breaded fried shrimp to taste what breaded shrimp should taste like. Don’t hesitate… people drive from far and wide to find this spectacular hole in the wall!!!

Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants Around. From the time you order to the moment you receive the food is so short its amazing, and the amount of food piled on your plate has you salivating, the food itself is so authentic and fresh you finish almost every bite. I’ve never had such amazing Chinese food with the serving they give you and such a decent price! A must eat!!!

I have eaten here twice, so the food is alright. For a Chinese — Spanish place I have only stuck with the chinese food. I have never been to fond of mixing cross cultured food. Sort like going for Sushi and pizza in the same place. You get the idea. The Shrimp Chow Mein was v v good, as was the pork fried rice that came with it. The shrimp was of a nice size and the rice was had plenty of diced pork. The place has plenty of seating and the service is kind and prompt.
