NYPD- 81st Precinct

The most diverse pct i have been in and also the NYPD. They have officers from all over the world here and from different races. like most places 1 bad apple spoils the bunch but there are some really professionals here. very nice attitude when you walk in and it feels welcome.

Do yourself a favor and never live in this precinct’s jurisdiction. And if you are currently living within it, move out immediately! Otherwise, if and when there is a police related matter than needs handling, the «trained» professionals at this particular precinct will not be there to effectively assist in your concern. I make upwards of ten different complaints with this precinct, for I had my fair share of issues while living in that part of Brooklyn, each of them being as important as the previous. With one of them, the perp actually confessed to commiting the crime, told the cop on the phone she would get away with the larceny and no one will be able to stop her! She also stated she made money from the sale of the stolen property! Unfortunately, the detectives never call you back, the front desk staff are rude and the community affairs staff treat you like a used car customer. I would highlight names but I actually have concern for their careers, especially the detectives.
This jurisdiction, like many urban based jurisdictions, have its fair share of crime and illegal activity. But that’s not why I decided to move to Manhattan. While Brooklyn based precincts have their fair share of negative complaints and rumors, the 8^st is the KING of them all. It’s Brooklyn most ill-​effective precinct. And no one deserves such service from New York’s Finest.
