New York 99 Cent and Up

I like this 99 cent store, even though I’ve never actually purchased anything for 99 cents. I’m looking at one of my receipts right now, and there are items for 89 cents, and $ 1.09, and even $ 1.99, but not one sold for 99 cents.
This place has all of the things I need when it’s last minute and I’m in a hurry (dish soap, paper towels, plastic utensils, notepads, pens, cleaning supplies, a new shower curtain and bath mat). Of course, you play 99 cent store roulette when you make your purchases… occasionally something is really subpar, like the cleaning gloves I bought whose fingers were fused together on the inside. Not really a useful item, then.
$ 10 credit/​debit minimum, but if you’re close (a high nine dollar and change purchase), they’ll swipe for you anyway.
