pretty standard(simple) low-key music venue. a little bit hard to find since its about a half-block from the water. only 3 stars because if you’re not upfront its almost impossible to see the band playing.

This place is right around the corner from the Live with Animals Gallery. I was really, really impressed with this place and the music played there. The bartenders and door people are friendly, chill and laid back. The beer and shots are cheap. There is a cover, but I haven’t paid more then $ 9 so far. I think thats pretty good to see all the bands that go on though. They have cute shabby couches on the side for relaxing, and a little back bar area with a table and chairs. I enjoyed this place a lot. It felt more like I was hanging out at a friends house, and he just so happened to manage to get a band to come over, play for us and friends. This is one of my favorite venues, BUT I couldn’t give it five stars do to the lack of air! The first time I came here there was a crowd, and it was warm, but not too bad. This weekend however, I guess the bands playing were more popular, and it was a sauna! Ladies, I highly recommend wearing your hair up and something light, breezy and comfortable! Every other girl I saw walk in slowly went though the same motions I did… pull your hair up, take off anything heavy, and place a cool beer on your head. hahaha I mean, even basements are supposed to have windows, right? But other then that, I highly recommend this place. Its fun, chill. You could go a lone, with friends or on a date. I’m in disbelief that no one has recommended this very fine venue yet! Go this weekend! Just make sure you’re ready to sweat.
