History

Established in 2005.

It’s just a moment in time — just one second of broadcast programming.

But it’s more than that at Metro Captions.

We make sure we do everything possible for one to «enjoy» that second of programming to its fullest extent — from our commitment to the highest quality of FCC compliant captions, to the way we engage and communicate with our clients and do business responsibly.

From our beginning as a small entity in a loft in Brooklyn, to the present where we sit as a forefront leader in broadcast closed captioning, we tried to make closed captioning a little better than we found it, and we think we’ve succeeded.

Business Owner

Tim Giardina began his career as a sound engineer and rapidly became familiar with video and motion graphics production and the localization industry. Many years ago, Tim took his first job working in the foreign language multimedia localization industry and has never looked back. Today, his team of skilled engineers and producers have allowed Metro Audio and Video to revolutionized the need to produce multimedia for a global audience. Clients no longer have to go to multiple studios or localization companies in a variety of cities or countries to complete a project. Over the years, Tim has developed and maintained a group of over 3000 professionally trained voice talents and linguists, in over 130 languages — a task he takes great pride in creating. As a producer/​director/​engineer, Tim actively participates in all Metro AV productions to ensure a proper workflow, and to guarantee that all engineers work to deliver only the highest quality products.
