Kenneth helped me donate window air conditioners to Habitat For Humanity. He was able to pick up and drop off the units within hours of my initial call to him. He was prompt and kept me well updated.

Kenneth was very professional, prompt and personable in completing my move. I was going from a fourth floor walk-​up in Bedstuy to another fourth floor walk-​up in Park Slope, and he didn’t complain or grumble once about the many, many flights of stairs or heat. Very reasonable quote compared to other movers for a busy time (end of August).

Kenneth helped us with a last-​minute craigslist futon move in brooklyn. He was easy to get ahold of and communicate with. He showed up on time and was professional and friendly. Would definitely hire him again for a similar move.

There are a number of so called «man with van» services out there as we all know.
I needed some stuff moved from my storage space into a 3 story walk up in Brooklyn, Kenneth was courteous and kind and had an accent (which is always good)
And he got right back to me.
He was not available to make the move but he quickly found two guys and got back to me with a fair quote for the next day and a good time.
His men were quick, good and reliable and they didn’t shirk a shoulder at the job ahead of them, as movers go what more can you ask for.
Next time I have something to move in a hurry this is the first place I’m calling.

Kenneth was perfect to deal with from start to finish. He’s a no-​nonsense guy. He’s efficient, timely, and responsible. He’s clearly very busy, so he doesn’t waste time. He and a helper picked up a sofa in a different Brooklyn neighborhood, brought it to our apartment, and brought our existing sofa up one flight of stairs to our family room. He was very careful. Not one mark on our walls. Really nice to our toddler. He arrived exactly when he said he would, keeping in touch to let me know his ETA. I would definitely use him again!

Kenneth was great. We moved a packed storage room, roughly equivalent in size to his cargo van to my new residence. He arrived right on time and moved everything super fast. We could have been faster if I had packed up some of the smaller, random items into bins ahead of time. Pricing was totally reasonable for the job. I would definitely recommend him!

I had the worst service with Man with a Van serving Brooklyn this past friday (Aug 1).
I work for a real estate agent and we hired Man with a Van to help unpack one of our clients on their move in day. I initially called them because I say their rating and believed them to be professional and reliable.
I called 3 days earlier to schedule the move with was supposed to take 2 men to help unpack 1 bedroom apartment worth of items from the truck into the house. They did not even have to help with the transportation. The person I spoke to told me to write an email indicating all of the details which I did. (2 labor men to move items from a truck into an apartment. scheduled for 3pm Friday August 1^st. Their compensation was included and the name of the client they would be receiving it from. I even called back to confirm they received the email. They said they have received the email and we were confirmed for Friday.
Friday, 3pm is approaching and I call to confirm they will be arriving. 3pm comes and they are not there. 3:15pm comes and the client arrives. 3:30pm and the movers are still not there. By this time I am calling them and they are telling me I am getting transferred, and I get hung up on. Told me I was going on hold, and I get hung up on. I finally get the number of the driver and he says he did not receive an email, and that they are currently moving someone, and have somewhere to go after that.
So my client is left without movers. By this time I am trying to call other movers that are sympathetic, but booked because it is the first of the month. Alas my client had no movers to help her move her bed, furniture, and boxes into her place, until the next morning when we were able to hire another moving company.

Ken was amazing! With no notice he was there to help me move my Passover supplies from storage to my third floor walk-​up. Friendly and patient with my kids and their million questions. He even lowered the price when the job ended up being smaller than I made it out to be! Great guy!

Living in NYC means you’ll end up moving a few times (unless you lucked out on a rent situation). It sucks but it happens, and when it happens you need a great mover to help you out. Ken is an excellent professional mover, and friendly too! He helped us with two moves and each time offered a great flat rate price. He’s quick to respond to inquires/​questions and arrived on time. Our moves went off without a hitch and all my junk ended up fitting in the van without a problem. I hope I don’t have to move too soon, but when it happens I’ll be calling up Ken again.

We hired Kenneth to move stuff out of our storage unit in Manhattan and deliver it to our apartment in Brooklyn. He was on time (early, even), courteous, professional, and generous. I would definitely hope to hire him again.

Ken was really great helping me in my recent move, which was difficult because I was moving from a fourth floor walk-​up to another fourth floor. He likes a precise inventory of what he will be moving, so don’t change it on him when he gets there! Overall, a very positive experience for a fair price.

He responded to my email quickly. Got to the site early. Picked up the couch and dropped it off at my place with no fuss.

Called Ken on a Sunday, called me back within a half hour and was he able to accommodate the very narrow window of time I had for that Tuesday. Small job, just one small but heavy piece of furniture. Described the job to him, gave me a flat and fair price. Called me early on the day to let me know traffic was a bear, moved meeting time back 30 mins to be safe and arrived early. Fast, efficient, competitively priced, no BS, and a thoroughly nice chap which I guess is beside the point.

Ken was great! Got back to me with a quote real fast, called ahead to let me know he’d be a skosh late because of traffic (like, 15 mins). Loading unloading went super-​fast. He was also going above and beyond — working after he twisted his ankle on a previous job — so my only complaint is that he should make sure to take care of himself!

I never knew you could write reviews on Unilocal about anything other than restaurants. Finally i have a chance to acknowledge Kenneth after years of fabulous service. Ever since i’ve been widowed 14 years ago with two small children, Kenneth has been the go to person for all those little jobs that were too heavy or too much of a hassle for me. I found his card on a bulletin board one day and a few years ago when i thought i lost it, i felt the same panic i felt when i thought i lost a phone or wallet — but worse. Those things are replaceable. Kenneth is not. i now make sure i have his number in several different devices so that i never lose it.
Once i called Kenneth when he was out of the country and left a message. i had no clue he was away. I got a call back on my machine telling me that he is on vacation but here are the names and numbers of 3 other moving guys that he felt were reliable. He came through for me even from another continent.
He is prompt, always estimates lower than i’d expect (i give him the difference as a tip), and best of all i feel comfortable leaving him to do his work while i am elsewhere in the house — he’s trustworthy and considerate (making sure not to leave footprints if it rains), and several times when he saw that i was about to leave at the same time, he offered to drop me off at my destination in his van (thus saving me a cab fare).
i was also very surprised one day to discover by accident that Kenneth is a photographer. when i looked at his website, displaying his work, i was shocked by how talented he is. i couldn’t believe that my lugging guy (what i call him) was such a star creative person. When my daughter gets married, Kenneth will take the photographs. If you use him for for a moving job, ask him for his photography website address. it’s not on the Man with a Van card he hands out. He never mentions this to his moving customers. if there were 6 stars, Kenneth would get 6.

had a great experience with kenneth few weeks ago. i needed to ship some large items from two locations (ikea and BuildItGreen in Gowanus), so i contacted kenneth. he was really quick getting back to me with a reasonable quote and availability.
on the day of moving, he got in touch with me and showed up on time. really nice person and patient with a situation i had with ikea (turned out that when i was at Ikea, they didn’t have the product i wanted).
with all being said, i will definitely recommend kenneth for any moving service you may need.

Kenneth was fantastic! I want to find something I need moved just so I can hire him again.
He was quick to respond to our call, gave an competitive flat-​rate fee, arrived EARLY to the pick up location and helped us load and unload all of the furniture we were moving. He was easy to talk to and was very patient when we had trouble locating the drop off site (potentially delaying his schedule for the day). He made a often stressful experience simply delightful. I will hire him again. Absolutely.

Kenneth was everything I needed: he returned my call promptly, gave me a flat-​rate quote (for a very fair price), showed up within fifteen minutes of when he said he would, and got me out of my previous gross apartment (bye bye Bushwick!) into a beautiful new place… fast.
I really was just looking for a man with a van – I just had boxes, suitcases, and bags, but no real furniture, so I didn’t need three guys, someone to help me pack, or professional movers. I needed a man with a van who could help me carry and transport stuff. Kenneth, who is really just a man with a van, was perfect for what I needed.
Nothing got broken (granted, I have very little of value, and I do know how to properly pack fragile stuff), but worth saying, since that’s not always been the case. The price he quoted me over the phone was the price he asked for at the end. (But tip him well: he deserves it).
I hope I don’t have to move again soon (I really, really like my new place), but if I do, I’m calling Kenneth.

I called him at 2:30PM and left a message. He called back at 3:30PM and kept trying until he got through because my phone was acting up. We confirmed for the same day at 8:30PM. He showed up at 8:26PM, gingerly helped me lift the dresser into his van, and drove me to my place.
His rate was more than competitive. Polite, efficient, reliable, cheap, available at the last minute — can’t ask for more than that.
