Limo Nerd Car Service

Use them all the time to g to the airport. Not sure why they get such bad reviews. They usually show up on time and are reliable. Prices are reasonable. Cars are SoSo thats about the only reason I give only 4 stars. I never had a bad experience. I would recommend them.

I waited 40 min for a pick up to the airport that never happened. They were supposed to pick me up after 10 min. I called after 20 min and said there was traffic but guy would arrive in a few min. Called again after 40 and no answer. I took über instead. Next time I won’t even bother and call über straight

Very stinky car. Hair smelled like smoke all day. Friendly driver, but not recommended

Unreliable. Have had an account for years and will be canceling today. If you need a pickup any time other than 6am, forget it. They don’t plan ahead for traffic. I have had to cancel reservations 4 times in the last 3 months bec they call to say they’re going to be late. When u call back at the new time because they haven’t arrived, the response has consistently been, 20 more minutes. Done.

Used to put these guys at a 4. Quality has eroded significantly. Usually late and often forget to show. If you use them, critical to call and reconfirm an hour or so beforehand.
Driver often doesn’t know destination or payment method and can be extremely rude if you say you want to pay with a card (even when the dispatcher has been warned in advance).
After 2 years, time to give Promenade a try.

Absolutely the worst car service. Dispatchers lie («car is there waiting for you») and drivers pick up wrong passenger instead (someone who Über-taxi’ed) etc. Mistakes happen but they dont apologize but insist the car is here waiting for me. Avoid this company at any cost.

I am not happy. I called and asked the price of a ride to the airport. The dispatcher said «$ 45.» I said, «I’d like to pay by credit card.» He said, «No problem.»
It wasn’t until I was at the airport trying to pay that the driver said the cash price is $ 45 but the credit card price is $ 55.
I called the dispatcher who said the credit card price was $ 45 plus a $ 5 fee. I got the sense that the price might change again at random.
«Everyone knows there’s a fee to use your credit card,» the dispatcher said.
Well, I guess now I know.

I travel quite a bit and they were my go-​to car service to the airport for about 6 months. I had no problem with them… until last month, when the car showed up 45 minutes late– I barely made my flight. I thought I’d give them an other shot and the same thing happened. Will not be calling them again.

It is hard to believe the one star reviews. Looks suspiciously like fake outrage and phony reviews from competitors.
We have used them once and had great service. We intend to open an account.

Have not used their service, was just lucky enough to be driving near one of their cars and he only managed to almost kill me a few times within several blocks. The term ‘professional driver’ eludes this guy, NYS TLC plate #T611131C. He repeatedly cut me off (almost running me in to parked cars) by going straight in the turn only lane — and then yelled at me like I was wrong. Not sure what his point was because he got no further ahead, as we both waited together at the same lights. He was frightening in both his aggressive driving and seemingly angry demeanor. No thank you, Limo Nerd.

I have used Limo Nerd on and off for about a year. I really made an effort to give them a fair shot, despite their confused management, occasional run-​down cars, misleading commitments and antiquated credit card process.
But, enough is enough. Every ride has created a hassle regarding the use of a credit card. I need to use a credit card for my record keeping. Limo Nerd is just miserable about dealing with that. They use old paper-​swipe imprint devices which display my full credit card number on three pieces of paper. To add insult to injury, they charge 10% more for the hassle and privacy breach they impose on credit card use.
On my last, and final, trip with Limo Nerd the driver actually wrote the CID number along with my credit card number on the three scraps of paper they use. That was the last straw.
Limo Nerd is mismanaged and unconcerned with customer service. Riding with them is akin to riding with a gypsy cab in the 1980’s.

(BTW — it is sad to see the patently fake Unilocal accounts created to plug Limo Nerd. They should focus their attention on trying to run a decent car service, not jamming Unilocal with fake reviews from ‘friends’. Sheesh!)

What caught me was their funny logo. Very catchy and the niche is great. So I called for a reservation for a ride to JFK. The car was clean, driver was friendly and got me there quick. It was a very very very pleasant ride and I appreciate that.

Terrible. Made reservations for 8 people and luggage and not only was our transportation not on time, but they sent a vehicle that was not accommodating to 8 people. We were also given a price when making our reservations, however, were charged more once the driver picked our party up for the transportation. In my opinion, finding another form of transportation or another company is your best bet.

I created this acct jus so i can write this review about limo nerd. By far thee worst car service i hav used in my life. I wish i could giv it 0 stars. Dont want to get into every way this was the worst experience but jus trust me. #theworst

I made a last minute call as a result of a friend being unable to give me a ride to the airport. The dispatcher was very nice and sent a car immediately. No later than five minutes after did the car arrive. The driver was very knowledgeable of the quickest routes.
Not only was it an overall pleasant experience but the price was very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.

Call Arecibo or any other car service. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS! We only used these guys because no one else was available in the sudden blizzard last Saturday. Def won’t be calling these nerds again.

These clowns didn’t show up then cited traffic and weather as an excuse. Awful.

Great service, great price. At about 11 pm I requested a car for two passengers in a plane arriving at JFK at 5:30 a.m. the following morning. The driver was there when the plane arrived and the dispatcher and driver patiently contacted me when my friend didn’t answer the call to her cell phone.
My friend and her daughter had nothing but praise for the driver (Jose) and reported they had a comfortable and uneventful ride to Princeton.
Best of all, the price was only slightly higher than a door to door shuttle for two people, which would have required them to wait for the JFK shuttle, do a loop around JFK to pick up more passengers, transfer and wait for the shuttle from EWR and hope that they weren’t the last of the shuttle passengers who were being dropped in and near Princeton.

We used Limo Nerd for the first time, to drop us off at JFK and to pick us up on our return. The guy on the phone was friendly and both drivers greeted us with smiles. Each «nerd» took us on their nerdy alternate routes to get us to the airport and back the fastest ways possible, I was impressed.
What was also nice, for our return flight, I just gave them our flight # and arrival time, called as soon as we got off the plane and limo nerd told us to meet them on the departures level since the arrivals area had traffic. I’d definitely use them again!
