Lightworks!

Lightworks! was the photobooth at an event I attended in Brooklyn and i would describe them as creative, fun, with great systems. Good job of engaging people and smooth turnaround between people. Highly recommended!

The first encounter I ever had with the dynamic Lightworks! duo in action was when they operated their photobooth at the Woolite pop-​up boutique in SoHo during NY Fashion Week a few years back. These two ladies have a really awesome energy and a special talent for making even the most self-​conscious and shy people feel comfortable enough to let loose and create fun, quirky, memorable images.
What I love is that they really know their lighting, like REALLY really. I think that, plus the quality of their equipment and the prints, makes it impossible for people to come out looking bad in their pics. Skin comes out glowing, eyes and teeth come out bright, colors are beautiful and vibrant. Rarely is anyone over-​exposed or under. I’ve been to so many events that hired photobooth vendors that were clearly winging it. Instagram filters can only do so much to make up for where they fell short.
Let’s face it, we’re sometimes vain creatures; how flattering an image of us is ends up a deciding factor in whether or not we choose to share images to social media. Which they have it set up to do very easily.
Since that first run-​in, I’ve been lucky to continue seeing their setup at several events which all varied in size and client industry. They are super adaptable and able to accommodate the needs of the client. Some events just to name a few: the 10^th Annual Wonder-​Full SF Party (a massive Bay Area based tribute party to Stevie Wonder), and the Dress for Success Shopping Event in NY (which I actually helped Seher assist in Ashleigh’s absence!)

Seher and her team were fantastic! They were extremely professional and delivered a great product. I would definitely recommend Lightworks for anybody looking to have a photo booth at their next event!

I worked along Seher a the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg as a part of the CONS Project. Seher ran her amazing Lightworks! photo booth at the event and was able to take amazing photos of all of the attendees of the event. Her smile, wit, and charm were able to bring out the best of peoples personalities, which captured at the right moment by her great photographic skills made for some really amazing pictures. She has a way of capturing emotions and specific moments in time that I don’t see from other photographers. Seher is extremely professional, passionate about her craft, and has great artist vision. I look forward to hiring Seher for more work in the future!

Seher and her team were fantastic! Lightworks came on board for a last minute event and were able to build a custom booth setup with limited guidance and ease. Not only was the setup quick and easy, the level of service they provided my event guests was top notch. Creativity and flexibility are guaranteed when you bring on Lightworks for your event! I’d hire them again in a heartbeat!

I just worked with Lightworks for the first time at an event for Kate Spade and they did an excellent job all around. There were a lot of restrictions within the space and they were extremely flexible in helping to figure out how to make it work. They’re great collaborators, extremely creative, professional, super nice to work with, and do a great job putting anyone camera shy at ease. If you’re looking to enhance an event, I highly recommend them.

As chair of the annual Young Executives for Success fundraiser I desperately needed event photographers. I heard about Lightworks! through a member of Y.E.S! and from the first moment I contacted them I knew my needs were going to be met. Seher and her colleagues were extremely professional, organized and easy to work with. They were also very understanding of our limited budget as a non-​for-​profit and donated much of their time. The photobooth was a huge hit at the event and they managed to take tons of high quality photos of all of our guests. My company Cornerstone has worked with Lightworks for a few events for our clients, Converse and Diageo across both east and west coasts. They were both very professional and respectful to the rest of the event. We had a few requirements that we were looking for and they worked tirelessly in order to make them happen. They figured out how to make GIFs for us, had top notch photography, and direct to social media integration. Would definitely hire them again, they were very well received and made sure that everything came out exactly how we were hoping it to and more.

«Lightworks! Photobooth did an excellent job interpreting our special exhibition featuring the works of Mickalene Thomas. We gave them the task of creating a photobooth. So they used a backdrop that we created, and it worked! They had props on hand, inspired by the exhibition, and gave a nice treatment to the photos to make them similar to the atheistic that Mickalene’s work has. I’ve worked with Lightworks a couple different times, once with my client
at SXSW (who absolutely loved the experience) and again for an event we threw locally in San Francisco with top local media.
Lightworks is THAT creative, enthusiastic, energetic company that you want to hire for all things photography! These ladies pair amazing quality imagery/​equipment with unique ideas to create an engaging and memorable atmosphere.
I’d hire them again in a second, especially knowing they can travel and setup their booth remotely pretty easily.

I hired Seher and Ashleigh of Lightworks for my SXSW showcase in 2012 and have nothing but great things to say about them. They were easy to work with, understood my vision, punctual, professional, and made everyone who stopped through feel at ease.
The photos turned out great and we even ended up using some of them as press photos for our promotional material. The photobooth added a fun element to our event and great souvenirs for our guests to take home. Furthermore, the branding and social media sharing of the photos allowed us to extend our reach for days and weeks after our actual event.
