Through mediation, the collaborative law process and negotiated settlement I help couples and family members resolve conflict and come to equitable agreements for separation and divorce, parenting, and custody and visitation issues, by facilitating open and honest communication with a spirit of mutual respect, self determination, and preservation of the relationships.

History

Established in 2012.

Catherine started her own practice in order to serve the needs of couples who are looking for alternatives to the traditional litigation route to separation or divorce, or to resolve family disputes.

Catherine C.

Business Owner

Catherine is a collaborative attorney and professional mediator who has more mediated over 300 cases, primarily in the custody and visitation and divorce arena. She is also a review and consulting attorney on divorce cases. In addition to her mediation practice, Catherine is a mediator on the New York City Family Court’s custody and visitation mediation panel and is a mentor at the New York Peace Institute, where she teaches mediation apprenticeship groups, and coaches and evaluates trainee mediators. Catherine is also a trainer and consultant for Hunter College High School’s Bias and Dispute Panel and is the Vice President and the Chair of the Nominating Committee of the Family & Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York.

Catherine earned an A.B. with honors from Vassar College and a J.D. with honors from American University’s Washington College of Law. She is admitted to the bars of the states of New York and Connecticut.
