They sell lots of Mexican pastries and their conchas are fresh and delicious, normally soft in the inside and sweet and crunchy in the outside. Apart from Mexican goodies, they also have a great breakfast menu. Make sure you stop by!

A friend told me about«the taco lady» on this block. i think he was referring to the truck that is around sometimes. Had the thought of tacos stuck in my head and found no truck so started looking… noticed a sign for tacos on the bakery that ive walked by thousands of times so i say to myself. tacos in a bakery, I must investigate… Glad i did! Unsuspectedly if you walk past a wide variety of pastries, breads, and copywrite infringed cakes you will find a little mexican woman working a hundred miles an hour(with a helper to the side) cranking out tacos, tortillas, and egg, bacon, cheese heroes. I ordered three chicken and i must say they are up there with the best authentic style mexican tacos I’ve tried! Also ordered Flan that came as a hybrid chocolate cake, flan mix. Fantastic. Someone please tell me why all mexican joints feel the need to put flan in a cup though? Place stays very busy, packed, shoulder to shoulder. Best to order take-out. Very noisy also. Total cost for three tacos, flan cake, and espresso…$ 11.75

I wish i can give this restaurant negative stars, I just went to buy a steak sandwich and was disgusted on what I saw. A really filthy rag touching the bread and workers constantly touching the dirty rag. Based on my research they have closed this bakery more than once due to decomposed food and serving it to the customers and other violations. I have attached a picture for you can see what your food touches before you consume it.

They say God works in mysterious ways. I feel the same way about tacos. Let me explain. Sometimes, you’re in Sunset Park and want tacos. But where to go? There are so many options. Then you spot a bakery that also happens to sell tacos. Sure, they have wedding cakes in the windows, and they have cupcakes that infringe on Sesame Street characters. But they also sell tacos. And the tacos are good. Probably some of the best I’ve had in Brooklyn. Then again, I was drunk. All tacos are probably good when you’re drunk. It’s not a fancy place, but you’ll see some people at all hours, probably getting off a late shift. Bring cash. But not pennies. They don’t accept pennies. I didn’t ask.

I like this place when I have the taste for this style food. I go there for the hot food rather than the bakery items, Which is good as well. When I was younger, After the clubs, This was #1 stop before everyone got home. If the parking was better I would go more often. Best Regards, Jimmy Wong VIPAUTONYC

Great food but the evening shift is very forgetful about orders. I have order many times and in many occasions they forget to execute the order. You assume you have your meal ready for pick up when in reality they never do it. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. I decided to write about it this time because no one takes responsibility for answering the phone, the owner needs to hire a more capable person to take orders over the phone so they can increase revenue as this is causing them loss of business. Other than that, I love the food. But will recommend to order in person for 100% accuracy they are so forgetful.

Place is 24 hours. Was busy when we came in a sunday night around 8. Small restaurant. Only have bar style seating if you decide to eat in. Ordering system is a little unorganized. The wait for the food was a little longer than expected. Had their torta cubana, enchiladas con carne, and tres leche cake. The torta cubana was a delicious sandwich. The right balance of meat and flavorful. Enchiladas con carne was good initially but got a little spicy. The tomatoes, avocados, and other ingredient tasted really fresh. Tres leche cake was moist and tasty. Just a tiny bit sweet but good. Overall, this is a good place to grab some mexican food on the go. Food quality is good and fresh.

Moved to the neighborhood a year and a half ago. Staff is always friendly. Chicken torta is where it’s at!

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s always been great. They have lower price egg sandwiches than some of the other places in the areas, plus they have actual places to sit down and eat. For around $ 10 I was able to get two bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on a hero, an iced coffee and a canned drink. I have only tried two of their pastry items. The sugar donuts are three for $ 1 and are great if you heat them up at home. I tried some kind of vanilla iced cake there as well and it was just okay, because it was a little dry. I think most people come here for the cheap food rather than their bakery items though. Plus they’re open 24⁄7!

Wonderful local place to eat, located right outside the 59th Street station, which is very convenient. I live nearby and their beef tostadas are the absolute best. I always order more than one tostada– super crunchy shell with bean spread, chopped up beef, lettuce, tomato and cheese at the top. Took away a star because while this is called a bakery, when you look at the displays, it seems not many people come for their baked goods.(That, or they baked way too many and some end up molding). I tried their flan and it was a bit too sweet for my taste.

They have excellent coffee, dark and bold with steamed milk! I haven’t tried their pastries mainly because they look like they’ve been sitting in the display for a very long time. I could be wrong though… The tacos and tortas are delicious overflowing with meat and toppings! Great price and great food.

Just moved to the nabe and have gone here at least 20 times — great to eat at the counter for a quick bite or take home to feast. My favorite is their carne enchilada — very very flavorful and tastes great on a torta or taco. Be sure to get the salsa… the salsa verde is nice and spicy.

Holy Tamales! Came in to this place especially for their weekend tamales. The menu offers has just about 5 kinds of tamales so I ordered all five. From chicken verde(green chili sauce), to chicken mole, raja(cheese), and one with pork belly. The cashier gave it to me while it was still very hot. The tamales are pretty tasty, but the spiciness of the meat over power any other flavors on my palate. Cost is cheap, as the total came up to be$ 7.50 for all five.

So, even though this is a bakery, I’ve only ever gone for the bread and breakfast. $ 4.50 will get you the most amazing bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on buttered flat bread(that they make there of course) and a coffee. I’ve also come here many times just to get a loaf of that bread, that they butter and press for you. It’s the closest place I’ve been able to find that makes it like in Puerto Rico! I’ve been going here for years, I’m never dissatisfied! My only complaint is that sometimes it’s a little difficult to get the attention of the ladies behind the counter.

Come here. No, don’t come here because I don’t want people to know about it. It’s a tiny hole in the wall on the corner of 59th and 4th Ave in Sunset Park, a stone’s throw from my house and I go there from time to time to fill my belly with hot fresh and criminally cheap tacos. One side is a bakery, with goods that look so good it’s like your mom just made them from scratch. We’re talking donuts, guava pastries, lemon cakes, cookies that look like cartoon characters, eclairs, desserts filled with cream, jellies, and everything imaginable. The other side is a diner counter perched in front of several ladies grilling up your tacos, burritos, and enchiladas to order. There’s a tv in the corner, blaring some horrible 80s Jean Claude van Damme movie… in Spanish. The ladies don’t speak English too well, but they get what you want and they really deliver.(Yes and they also do deliver too, as in takeout.) It’s the real deal. So in hopes that the gentrification of Sunset Park will be slow to come, please don’t visit Las Rosas Bakery. But if you happen to find yourself here already, you know where to go.

If you’re ever in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn… this is a must for quick bite to eat. I highly recommended this place when you need some comfort. This is a Mexican bakery and diner. This is great when you’ve been drinking, hungover, or something to remind you of home(you only wish your mom cooked like this – I do.) The Torta was amazing. The bread and their preparation makes for one of the best Tortas I’ve eaten. The ‘regular’ coffee reminded me of my grandmother. It was served with milk and a good serving of sugar. The chorizo tacos are average and the fries are nothing to brag about. I didn’t try the sweets but their pastries were stocked and they had a great variety. Breads, cookies, and cakes. I’m rating four stars because they could use a vent for the stove and they have no bathroom. Parking is typical for area. You might have to spend 15 minutes searching/waiting for a spot to free up. Service is friendly. Seating is limited to just a countertop(about 15 seats.)

Been coming here since I was a child. I lived through their name change(used to be called Lisette’s). This is the kind of place that I hope will never change. They still have the same old cash register(probably 20+ years old). It’s a neighborhood staple. The tortas are amazing. Prices are great! If you don’t know Spanish just point at whatever you want. Plus its right outside the 59th street N/R station. Who can resist the smell of Mexican bread, even if youre tired from a long day at work?
