After years of going to the city for her hair skills, Courtney Lee opened her own salon studio in Williamsburg. She is a color master and does a magical blowout. The space is beautiful clean and very welcoming. Happy to support her and her intimate team of hair professionals. I’m hooked.

Kinloch has been my saving grace! I have spent so much time bouncing from salon to salon, whether in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Long Island and even upstate, but now I can confidently say Kinloch is my salon. I have gone there 5+ times now and have been more than satisfied. Great cuts, great color, reasonably priced and always willing to accommodate my last minute appointments. Everyone that works there is easy to get along with and they all make you feel comfortable. There is nothing bad to possibly say about this salon. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Finally found my salon! I came in giving a vague description of what I wanted, but knew I wanted a change. Jessie perfectly translated my thoughts to my haircut giving me exactly what I wanted while putting her own personal touch.

I can’t recommend this salon enough! I haven’t colored my hair in almost 8 years and was looking to change it up with something new. Courtney did an amazing job — I love my new lighter locks! The salon itself is lovely and everyone there was super nice and welcoming. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles and offered a mimosa! Such a great experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back!

I started going to Courtney about 6 months ago and followed her to the new salon she opened. I love it! It’s so cute and super convenient to get to from Manhattan. I used to have box dye black hair and she has skillfully brought it to a natural rich dark brown without doing any damage to my hair. I’m so happy with the results! Gigi started cutting my hair as well and does wonders with my thick curly mane. This is such a great salon and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

I’m thrilled about my color by Courtney. I have never dyed my hair before until visiting kinloch. I live near the beach, so I was going for sun kissed color on my dark brunette hair without it being too noticeable. Courtney nailed it. Just enough color to brighten up my face yet still kept it very natural look. The salon was very comfortable. The girls here are very friendly with welcoming conversation. I highly recommend your next color or cut here. I will def be back!

This year I have suffered the worst hair year of my life. 2 awful cuts, poor color and I came to Kinloch without much hope that anything could be done until I grew it out. HOWEVER they did work some magic potion up and managed to cut my hair so it could be casual and blow dried — miracle! Also the color looks great. I am super happy that they are here and will never go anywhere else. Thanks x

I am now on my 2^nd visit to this salon and I love it! Courtney and Jessie are a perfect pair. I had been in the middle of moving between states so I had let my hair go a bit as I couldn’t find a regular salon. My color certainly showed it as did my cut. Both girls are super professional. Courtney is a talented colorist who managed to drag my lifeless hair back to shiny perfection. Jessie is a genius with scissors and a blade. My hair was NYC perfect when I left.
This is a great gem of a salon in Williamsburg and easy to get to from the city. Thumbs up!!!

It’s taken 12 years, but I finally found the perfect hair salon! For someone who has never permanently colored her hair, I was super cautious, especially when it comes to going blonder, but Courtney (owner and colorist) eased any fears with her positive reassuring personality. And the result? I was ecstatic about the change. She nailed the color down to the nuance I was dreaming of! People commented how much my weekend beach times have lightened my hair — rather than asking me where I had gotten my hair done. It’s been a couple of months and the color has grown out nicely and naturally. This lady knows her color!
On a separate visit I went to get my hair cut. Having the most annoying, thin and frizzy hair that in my mind can’t be salvaged if not completely shaved off I again was surprised what miracle hands can accomplish! What used to be a rat’s nest of layers (that I previously trimmed myself!) with a coarse texture, turned into the most silky smooth mane that even allows for a hair down day!
Jesse was super nice, down to earth — not to mention talented?! So needless to say I can highly recommend this little gem that just recently opened on Metropolitan.

Williamsburg is extremely lucky to get talent of Courtney’s caliber. She has an eye that is a God given talent; she will listen to what you want and execute it better then you probably even imagined. Look no further, Kinloch is your place– if you live in the neighborhood or a train ride away.

I am so glad Courtney opened a salon in Williamsburg! I live in the East Village so it’s just a quick subway ride and so worth the (short) trip.
Courtney has been coloring my hair for several years and I always trust her — occasionally I bring in a photo but usually I just say «make me blonder!» and she knows what to do. I have dark blonde hair naturally so usually get a half head of highlights just to brighten up my tone. The color always looks so natural and blended in, and my roots never grow in noticeably. She also uses very high quality product so my hair never feels over-​processed or like there are chemicals in it. I also love the R+Co line of shampoos/​conditioners/​sprays they use! It smells amazing :)
Jessie cut my hair during my last visit. I had never had my hair styled by her before but she did a great job! I thought I was actually going to have to get way more length cut off to get rid of dead/​split ends but Jessie only took off a tiny bit and my locks feel completely revived! She did a great job styling it after the cut too with nice, loose curls.
When it comes to client service Kinloch does an amazing job ! They got back to me immediately about scheduling and were willing to work with my tricky work schedule. They sent me automated reminders about my appointments which was super helpful and an e-​receipt after my visit as well. Courtney and her team offered water, coffee and even wine which is always nice when you are taking time to treat yourself to a nice hair refresh.

I’m from London, but visit New York regularly & always wait to get my hair done by Courtney Lee. Courtney’s been coloring my hair for the past few years & I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I love that she does what she thinks will look great & trust her completely ! So pleased, I’ve never felt so comfortable trusting someone to do what they think best with my hair. I arrived this time just as her new salon, kinloch opened & am so happy I managed to get my hair cut by the talented Jessie. Thanks so much ! I’ll carry on saving my hair for kinloch. I’ve been getting my hair colored by Courtney for the last 6 years so it was a no brainier that I would follow her when she decided to open her own salon in Brooklyn.
Courtney is extremely talented at what she does and I never leave a visit with her disappointed! I often don’t even need to tell her what I want I just say «I trust you» and she knows exactly what to do. My hair always looks natural and fun and I get a lot of compliments on the color.
My visit with Courtney at Kinloch yesterday was nothing less than what I’ve come to expect. The salon is right in the heart of Williamsburg and has a great old school vibe with exposed brick, tiled floors, and a refurbished vintage sink. They use all R+Co hair products which smell amazing and my hair feels great.
I would not hesitate to recommend Courtney, or Kinloch to anyone!
