absolute garbage. felt like pie so i ordered 3 kinds from here, at $ 5.25 a slice. would have been better off with dollar hand pies from the corner store.

First time here, never coming again. The atmosphere is just your everyday local diner Except, it was pretty dirty compared to other diners. I ordered the Avocado BLT for $ 7.00 and I asked for waffle fries instead of regular fries and the waiter said it will be an dollar extra. HOWEVER, after I got the check… the waiter lied! It was $ 12.50 for a stupid small sandwich and like 6 – 7 pieces of waffle fries? AND, it wasn’t even good at all. The lettuce was brown and dirty and I only had like 1 slice of avocado? I even confronted the waiter and he said, It is a meal. WTF? Such horrible customer service if they are going to manipulate their customers like this. You pay for expensive food that’s not worth it and is disgusting. If you’re in the Williamsburg area, find other better places to dine because this is beyond terrible.

A Willamsburg institution. 24 hour diner serving up classic greasy spoon staples. Good veggie burger. Good omelets. Was my go to lunch spot when I would do laundry down the block many a moon ago. The neighborhood has changed drastically in the past 20 years. At least Kellogg’s is still there going strong. It’s so far survived the hipster, eurotrash, trustfund brat invasion. Unfortunately they’re the ones leaving all the crappy reviews. Ignore them. This diner is fine. ;-)

Kellogg’s is basically just your usual 24 hour diner. It’s comfortable, clean, spacious, the staff is alright (some are great, some aren’t too friendly), and the décor/​ambiance are cool. However, the prices for normal food are a little too high to justify eating basic diner food here. There are too many better places in the area! Their hot chocolate and desserts are good, though.
I stopped in here last week because I needed to use the restroom, so my friend and I were seated at a booth and I ordered a hot chocolate. We told the waitress that that was all we were having, and she informed us that there is a $ 6 minimum per person to sit at a normal table. She then told us that we could sit at the counter. I then went to the restroom and it seemed as though each toilet had flooded and no one had cleaned it up. There were paper towels and toiler paper everywhere and it didn’t smell too good. I don’t recommend using the restroom here!
The good thing was that the hot chocolate was delicious, and it was a very reasonable price as well.

My tea cup was beyond filthy and when I tell you you, reply with «it has been already charged» and I say I still don’t want it, you grab it and loudly tell your coworker what just happened and toss it into a bus bin where everyone can hear it. That was very nice of you

I remember when my bf took me here once on a cold rainy day. The food here is just greasy diner food. nothing special. The eggplant Parmesan I got lacked in flavor and kinda tasted weird and was bathed in oil. The food here is worth skipping over unless you like super greasy bland food.

This is strictly about the food: it’s bland, dry, and expensive if you don’t get a basic 2-​egg dish. But still expensive. Just terrible, terrible dry tasteless food. As far as service, it was fast.

I’ve always passed the Kellog’s Diner and thought it looked really cool and retro from the outside. Made me curious enough to want to come and try some bites here. I had that opportunity on Tuesday after seeing a show @ The Knitting Factory. Enjoying my slight buzz, my brother and I stumbled in the diner. No, literally stumbled in because the sidewalk to the entrance is all jacked up!
Upon entering, the overwhelming smell of a disinfectant infiltrated my nostrils. I thought to myself, hey, at least the place is clean? It was fairly busy for after midnight. They sat us all the way in the back when they had plenty of tables up front. Thought that was strange. The seat of the booth they sat us in was all tore up and fixed with duct tape. Usually not a good sign for me. Our waitress was decent. Although I could barely understand anything she was saying with her accent and what appeared like a sleep deprived slur. We didn’t have any meals. Just post show desserts.
I asked for slice of blueberry pie. Came back a while later to say there wasn’t any left. They don’t know this beforehand? So I got the lemon meringue pie and a cappuccino. My brother got a Corona and a slice of strawberry cheesecake. Good lord, it took a while for our slice of pie and cake to come! The couple in back of us (I’ll get to that later) who came in after us and ordered two MEALS got their food before our desserts! We were right in front of the dessert display. What takes so long to slice a piece of pie/​cake and bring it five feet? They attempted to make it all fancy by putting them on colored, square dishes and dolloping Reddi Whip on each corner and sprinkling each dollop with rainbow sprinkles. Thanks, but just the slice would have sufficed. I have to say that the pie was actually pretty good. Huge slice too. The cappuccino was really good as well. Although the waitress spilled a lot of in the saucer so it was pretty messy to drink. Looking at the food other patrons were eating, some looked appetizing. The crinkle fries are totally of the frozen kind. Maybe I’d come here again to try the food. Maybe not.
Location is great. In the middle of a busy Williamsburg/​Greenpoint area. Right outside of the place is the Metropolitan/​Lorimer stop on the G and L. You have your fair share of Hipsters dining here but mostly true locals. Something really odd? The people who I mentioned above that got their food before us and came after us? Well, one of those people was actress Rose McGowan. I wanted to ask her, what the f&*k are you doing @ the Kellog’s Diner!!!

I’ve been a few times and each time was a very different experience. The first, I had like 4 hours to kill before I could move into my new apt. I was essentially stranded and since it was quite cold out, I decided to just hang out here. The waiter I had was great. A small middle aged Spanish fella, he was very friendly and attentive, but not annoying and I never felt too uncomfortable for sitting in there for so long.
So when I returned a week or so later, without thinking about it, I high expectations for service. I sat at the counter and the lady working behind the counter could not have given less fucks. It was actually funny, because I’m not the type of person to let poor service make me angry. I sat for a full 10 – 15 minutes before she decided to acknowledge my presence. I ordered chicken tenders and onion rings (don’t judge me I was craving somethin fried). When the food came i got fries instead of o rings. No biggie. I told her and she took them away and returned about 10 min later (after I’d finished the chicken) with the onion rings. But whatever, I ate them and they were hot n good.
The check she brought had me charged for fries instead of onion rings, which was like $ 2 less so I thought it was consolation for the ordeal. I gave her my card and she said «oh no, I need charge you for onion rings instead of fries,» and then asked me if that’s okay. Like what am I supposed to say no? What happens then, do I get to keep my $ 2? But I said it’s fine because I admire the woman’s refusal to give a fuck. Because to make mistake after mistake and then still have the nerve to ask me to pay for the difference, that takes courage.
In summation, if you’re looking for slightly overpriced diner food and possibly great but most likely shit service, it’s not a bad spot. I’ll prob be back, simply because of convenience. And since that appears to be what their entire business model is built on, good for them, it’s working.

GOOD THING, Not that easy to find a real old school American diner here in NYC… judging from the outside and from inside the restaurant, in fact since the first minute I was approached by the waitress «How is that possible that they got me! However let’s give them a chance!» was my first thought. My bad I didn’t check on Unilocal before.
I know the differences between restaurants and diners, I’m usually not picky at all.
I’m familiar with the ridiculous wage and expecially in a diner tips can be lower than a restaurant…
BUT
If I go to a place where a waitress come at the table (while chewing the sandwich she was eating, I didn’t care too much for that, I just wanted to get my food), throwing the sides of coleslaw and pickels on the table like my mother when she didn’t want to cook for an uninvited guest… I realize that wasn’t a good start.
I wanted a cheeseburger with blue cheese, not a great pretend and she answered «So, you want the Cajun burger that has the blue cheese»…after trying to say no she turn the head on the other side and I said «Whatever you want»…I got the Burgers with probably McCain fries (maybe too expensive, since they can’t even make fresh french fries) and the driest medium-​rare burger that I’ve ever had. So I ate probably ¹⁄₃ of that and asked for a check while she was sitting at the bar and I believed she said «I’ll be right back» while she was chewing… she gave the check to the busser, 32.01 dollars and I wanted to leave 6 dollars tip anyway (not a big fan of tipping for the quality of the service). So, I put 40 dollars in the book, closed the book in the way she could see the money and after 10 minutes trying to get her attention to grab the checkbook, I started to look in my pockets and in my wallet to try to reach the total amount. I had a 10 dollar bill and 2.03 in coins so after 12 minutes waiting I left 0.02 dollars In tips… what I was supposed to do after the worst meal and the worst service in my life? I was walking away feeling guilty but te fact the she was staring at me from the counter with my check still on the table and she barey said goodbye made me feel a little better but I still hated myself for doing that… the worst way to leave the worst place with the worst service.

I’ve been going to Kellogg’s diner since I was a kid I’m now 53 and am appalled at the way the floor manager treated my daughter and I.
Our orders came wrong we complained and she had the nerve to come to our table and say we complained too much.
We decided instead of arguing we’d leave but as we spoke she approached us again and said we were annoying her. I couldn’t believe her nasty attitude as if she was doing us a favor. We never ate food but were forced to pay .
It’s been the worst experience I’ve ever had!!! I hope they change or fire that manager because soon they’ll be out of business.

Excellent Williamsburg breakfast spot. So much variety on the menu. And you can sip wine with your steak and lobster, being informally formal!

Wasn’t particularly impressed with this Diner. I ordered poached eggs and bacon. The eggs came in a cup full of water? I had to get them onto the plate with a fork and basically one split into the water. Not very nice at all.
The Orange juice was nice and the staff ok. The only reason it didn’t get one star to be honest!

Kellog is just an American diner — all the fare you’d expect, nothing more than average, but hits the spot in the wee hours or when all you want is French toast or a grilled cheese. They do have that fun 50’s — 60’s style down, many booths, and fast service.
If you are bar hopping or clubbing it, this is pretty much the only game in town for eats. I ordered a grilled meunster and ham on seven grain, and French onion soup, and I have to admit, it rocked.

Pretty solid diner. There were tons of great diners growing up on Long Island, and there’s not a lot in Brooklyn, so it’s nice to see this. It’s not great food, but you don’t really come to a diner for great food. The breakfast specials are great with nice sized portions. Service was good and there is tons of seating. Really easy to get to from public transit, but parking in that area is rough.

I think Jerry, George, Kramer, and Elaine would like it here. But I don’t think they went to Brooklyn much, and also, they’re fictional. So that’s kind of a moot point.
Kellogg’s meets one important criterium for Williamsburg establishment enjoyment: it’s #notdouchey. There were generous mix of folk dining here when we came for a late breakfast, including families, and it’s happily un-​trendy. I imagine it’s probably what restaurants of Brooklyn used to be more like: full of clearly local waiters/​waitresses serving no-​frills food. And our waiter was efficient but not particularly friendly. Which is fine, ’cause I just want breakfast, yo.
But my huevos rancheros were disappointing. I can make a better plate of scrambled eggs, and that’s not saying a whole lot. The salsa was bland. The rice and beans were fine. I ate it all, mainly because I had a huge day of travel ahead with limited eating opportunities.
Prices are average for diner fare but definitely more than the food is worth. Expect to show ID for a credit card.
Bonus points; super close to L and G trains means a quick getaway to your next stop is super simple.

I’ve been coming here for well over twenty years, and always for the same reason, breakfast! It’s recently been renovated and although it looks nicer I’d be lying if I say I didn’t miss the old Kellogg’s. They have a decent size menu along with decent prices. Wait staff is usually friendly and it’s open 24 hours.
I recommend the gravy fries. My boyfriend and his pal put me on to them and they’re amazing any time of the day.

Really great for groups. This is a. Williamsburg institution and also one of the few places where the classes mix; those who have lived here all their lives and those who arrived last week and find it disheartening that they do not have gluten free cinnamon toast.
The menu is vast. The food is dependably average. The service is always stellar, patient, and friendly.
I recommend the fruit salad. And also the Bustello coffee which is served in a jaunty mug.
It’s a good place to come for breakfast on Christmas as it is always open.

In the late hours (a few drinks deep), after all civility and good judgment goes out the door, and primal instinct kicks in… «must haz food» becomes the prime directive… a necessity, a truth that must be realized… imperative to survival.
Such was the situation I found myself in a few days ago (along with a few companions to share in my dilemma). Where to go? What to eat? Is anything open? These were the questions that needed answering. Hunger, innebriation, and a lack of sleep were my enemies… and I didn’t have the added benefit of a field power bonus (nerd speak for «I’m not familiar with that part of town.»)
Luckily brightly lit signs, big windows, and cafeteria lighting guided my weak and weary crew to this, Kellogg’s Diner, for some much needed nourishment and respite.
Like all purveyors of diner food (i.e. diners…) overly large and eclectic selections of food are necessary. Breakfast, dinner, and lunch items are available for your consumption… as well as standard Greek, American, Mediterranean, Cuban, etcetera etcetera types of cuisine.
Consensus from the table… not the best versions of the food we ate (bacon & eggs, bison burger, beef burger, Cuban sandwich), but a cheap and serviceable effort. So when walking into these overly lit halls, keep in mind that your mind won’t be blown (as far as standard diner fare is concerned), but you will be satisfied on the cheap.
