Lorimer Street L and G Subway Station

This sprawling station provides a vital connection between the L and G subway lines.
As with all stations that feature recent (10 years or so) decorative tilework, I wish I could have seen the original tiles. Actually, on the L platform, there are the original mosaics for the station name, as well as well-​kept white tiles on the walls. The G platform features tiles that are slightly more modern, with block – but still Deco – lettering, which reads «Metropolitan Avenue.»
As with most stations that offer a transfer between train lines, you’re gonna walk – or run, as the case may be. Trains come fairly frequently on the L line, and the four-​car toy G trains are less frequent.
Unfortunately, lately the L train has been out of service pretty often on the weekends – why, MTA? Why? – which has led me to cancel plans to go to Brooklyn. There’s no easy alternate route to Lorimer street from Manhattan, although there are shuttle buses to bridge the interrupted service.

Stop at this station to go to a restaurant the station is ok very clean … One time the L train didn’t come so quickly so I had to wait like 25min
