We’re experienced animal lovers and have worked with a wide range of breeds, ages, temperaments and behaviors. Never an extra charge for feeding or medicating. Most importantly, we give your pet love and attention when you can’t be there to do it yourself!

Our business was founded out of a true love and concern for animals and we take pride in offering the best pet care and dog walking services available. Excellent references. Fully insured and bonded.

In addition to hiring only the most qualified, friendly, and experienced staff, Jordan’s Pet Care offers the highest level of customer service. We offer our dog walking, cat care, and pet sitting services in Park Slope (North and South), Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, Gowanus, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Crown Heights, and Downtown Brooklyn.

History

Established in 2010.

Jordan’s Pet Care was established by long time animal lover and advocate Jordan Sachs. Jordan started out as a one-​woman show and she quickly realized that despite the fact that there were numerous pet care services available, there was still a need for one that offered the dedicated care and commitment of an individual walker with the flexibility and reliability that comes with a larger company.

Jordan has always been an animal lover and her interest in animals and animal welfare has grown over the years. She came to Brooklyn via Boston where she volunteered and later worked at the Boston MSPCA Adoption Center (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) as an animal care and adoption counselor. At the adoption center she cared for hundreds of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, small and large birds, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, and a few other random animals as well! She learned a lot about animal behavior, health and welfare.

Jordan has been walking dogs and caring for cats in Brooklyn since 2009. She has enjoyed it greatly and has been honored to spend time with and care for such amazing animals! Jordan and the team at Jordan’s Pet Care are dedicated to meeting the needs of all animals in their care as well as those of their owners. We welcome the opportunity to meet you and your your pet and provide you with the best service possible.

Best cat sitting service I’ve used hands down. I’ve boarded and used other services in the past. I’m also not an avid Unilocaler but felt my overly positive experience justified a Unilocal review.
Jordan was beyond helpful and all sitters we’ve had have been amazing. They take great care of our high maintenance cat and send us personalized emails that my husband and I look forward to reading when we’re away. It’s clear that Jordan and her sitters and walkers love animals and enjoy what they do! Will continue to recommend Jordan’s to other animal owners in BK.

I love Jordan & her employees and so does my cat. They’ve been nothing but accommodating, friendly, timely, and professional. I have a ~4 yr old rescue Siamese who is a total needy but delightful chatterbox and the sitters who visit her always leave her well-​fed, entertained, and cared for. The personalized email updates are really wonderful and soothe nervous catmamas and catdads while away. Beyond informative, the emails are often super amusing and charming (I’m always tempted to write them back but then realize that a stranger might not be as interested in engaging about my cat as I am…). Bonus points for always leaving the litter/​food areas tidy, accommodating my last-​minute requests, and responding to emails promptly. I’m moving to LA soon and am sure I won’t find such a wonderful experience as that provided by Jordan & crew.

Jordan and her team are awesome. After a terrible experience with Brooklyn Bark Jordan was just what we were looking for. A lot of the Brooklyn walking companies feel just like that, big companies. Jordan has a big staff, but still provides a personal touch, is easy to get in touch with and is flexible to your needs. Best option in Park Slope!

I have 2 male Chihuahua pups with a bunch of energy to burn! My husband and I both commuted into NYC while we lived in Brooklyn and we noticed a negative change in the boys behavior. They were in a crate all day and were a bit depressed and anxious when we arrived home from work. My husband and I were concerned about a dog walker since the boys tend to be anxious and nervous around new people. When Jordan arrived as an introduction, they took to her immediately. She is wonderful with pets and has a very kind nature. Elaine was our dog walker and I cannot be any more pleased with how quickly she bonded with the boys. She walked them through winter and on the especially snowy days she would make certain they did their business and then play and snuggle with them if a full walk could not be completed due to frozen little paws. The boys behavior immediately changed and we had our ‘calm’ Chihuahuas back. Every day I received a hand written note mentioning how the boys did that day on their walk and if they did their business. The time and length of the walk was written daily as well. We could tell Elaine enjoyed walking the boys, which settled our minds that they were being well taken care of and never went on group walks. I highly recommend Jordan’s Pet Care for walking services. The walkers are efficient and very kind. Also, Jordan is flexible with scheduling if a walk had to be cancelled or added due to the ever changing NYC work schedule. My husband and I now live in Seattle, WA and we can only hope to find a pet care service as excellent as Jordan’s.

We’ve been so happy with Jordan’s Pet Care! Our little Norman has been a client for almost 4 years now, and Jordan and the walkers we’ve worked with (mostly Kat and Elaine — both amazing!) have been so friendly, reliable, and professional. They’ve worked with us through a move (thankfully within their coverage area!), some behavioral quirks, and some crazy neighbors. I feel like Norman is loved and well cared for. Plus the daily notes and online scheduling system make communication super easy!

I have been nothing but impressed with Jordan’s Pet Care. The level of professionalism and responsibility of she and her employees is night and day compared to my previous walker in Manhattan. They have my full trust, which is very important in this field.

We love Jordan’s Pet Care, and all of the wonderful walkers — Kat in particular! Our dog, Bode, adores her, and she loves him even more — it’s always great to read her long notes on literally everything they did during their hour together. You really do feel that your dog was loved and well-​cared for, and I always feel *slightly* less guilty for leaving him alone.
We found Jordan through a neighbor who used her service, and have been using them for about 5 years, on and off. They are always available at the last minute — meaning, if you email the night before, you’re fine. You can also cancel if you need to and it’s not a huge deal. Every walker is courteous, professional, on time, and leaves detailed notes (Kat’s are always longest, but all of the walkers write fantastic notes that make you feel that your dog was in safe hands.)
Prices are reasonable — i think it’s about $ 30 for an hour walk, and they will feed and just hang out with your dog, too. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

We. Love. Jordan’s Pet Care! Especially Kat! We got a new puppy who had horrible anxiety and Kat worked with us and Jordan supplied tips to help our Dolly Dog cope better. They are always there if you need a next day walk and follow your directions to a T! The notes the walkers leave are so wonderful you feel great at the end of the reading your pet had a good day in Jordan’s Care! We also use them for cat sitting when we go on vacation, and the email updates are to die for if you are a crazy cat lady like me! They always let us know how they were doing and eating and playing! I always recommend them to the dog adoption agency that we used and any friends that have cats! Thank you Jordan’s!

Jordan’s Pet Care is absolutely fantastic. We hired Jordan the day we brought home our 5-​month-​old puppy from the rescue agency, and she and her team have been wonderful for the 1.5 years since. We have had a series of day-​time walkers, all of whom have been on time, professional, and trustworthy 100% of the time. We have made tons of last-​minute changes — adding walks, canceling walks, adding instructions — and Jordan has always accommodated our needs. We love the walkers’ notes — they obviously care about and know our dog really well. The overnight dog-​sitting has also been excellent. In short, I can’t recommend Jordan highly enough.

They’re the best! Jordan and her awesome team took care of our dog for 9 months (and would have forever if we didn’t move far away). Her staff is thoughtful, caring, detailed in their reporting and loving in the handling of our furry friend. Rates are very reasonable, and the service is rain or shine. Jordan can even arrange for someone to stay with your pup in your own home if you’re traveling for a few days, which is 1 000 0000x better than boarding them. I can not recommend Jordan’s Pet Care more highly!

Jordan and her team are amazing (especially Kat!) They are 100% reliable and professional and they go the extra mile by leaving very detailed notes about your dog’s walk (Turbo had something neon green in his poop, Louise went #1 three times, etc.). They also have an amazing pet sitting service – knowing that your dog can stay in her own home with someone she knows and loves while you’re away makes going out of town a much more pleasant experience. Jordan has even been kind enough to send someone over to the house to make sure I locked the front door after leaving on a week-​long vacation (I’m a paranoid nightmare). Aside from all this, their website makes scheduling and payment beyond simple.
Seriously love Jordan’s Pet Care. You should hire her immediately.

I highly recommend Jordan’s Pet Care to anyone looking for walking or pet-​sitting services!
When I first brought my rescue pup Adelaide home, I worried about not being able to walk her myself in the evenings. She had some timidity issues and I knew she needed just the right people to take care of her while I was at work.
After the first session, I returned home to find a detailed note about her walk and I immediately felt at ease! I knew from that point on that she was in the best hands with anyone from Jordan’s Pet Care.
In addition to the fantastic people, the services are also super easy to book and pay for online, change/​reschedule appointments, etc. Jordan is SUPER attentive and quick to respond to even last minute requests… which is very important, especially in the busy city environment!

I have never written a Unilocal review before, but I was so happy with Jordan’s Pet Care that I thought they deserved the kudos. I have two cats that I call my furry children. I am very particular with their routine and the care they get. Ralphie is 15 and I worry about him getting stressed about me being gone. Bob is 6 and my plus-​size girl who likes to know that someone is just there. My friends are always making fun of me for the routine I have them on. But not Jordan and her awesome cat sitters/​dog walkers! Her and her team were very responsive to my specific requests for my cats and didn’t seem bothered by my over protectiveness at all. Since they are all pet owners themselves they totally understand the nervousness felt when leaving your furry children alone. I never want Bob and Ralphie to feel abandoned when I go away (which in my imagination is how they feel). Jordan and her team made me feel totally at ease while I was out of the country on vacation and I never worried about my two cats at home. The daily updates from the team of sitters were both genuine and detailed and I looked forward to them every day.
I travel quit a bit and it’s hard to find someone to take care of my babies. All my friends either have two cats to take care of themselves and most of my family is allergic/​hates cats. So, I’m constantly stressing about who will watch the cats when I’m gone. Now I am super happy knowing that I never have to feel that stress again.
NOTE: The only reason why Jordan’s Pet Care didn’t get 5 stars is because I wish they were a little more flexible with the times of their visits. I prefer to have my cats eat their dinner as late as possible so I’m not kept awake in the wee hours of the morning by my older baby’s incessant «I’m hungry» meowing. However, that is really just me being stuck to a routine. I’m starting to loosen up!

I love Jordan’s Pet Care! If you’re looking for a professional dog walking/​sitting service look no further. Her walkers are professional, communicative (I love the daily notes about Sophie’s progress) and miracle-​workers — somehow they’ve been able to train her from being leash aggressive to at least not scream-​barking at every large dog she passes.
Like every dog owner I know, I’m extremely protective of Sophie and wanted to make sure she was going out with somebody I could trust and would treat her well. She’s always happy and energetic when I get home from work — I highly recommend Jordan and her walkers!

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed anything on Unilocal but I felt compelled to write one for Jordan’s Pet Care. Our two boys have been walked by Jordan’s crew of walkers for almost a year now and we can’t speak highly enough about the quality of her walkers, and her business in general.
The walkers… we have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Our boys can be a handful but every walker we’ve had has been absolutely amazing leaving wonderful little notes for us to read and letting us know if they misbehave.
Jordan herself has been incredibly flexible which is nice for those emergency walks. Additionally, she clearly does her best getting your pups on a schedule and with ONE walker. We don’t really mind when we have a different walker but it sure is nice coming home to a note from the same person each day.
Definitely choose Jordan’s!

Cant say enough good things. All the walkers we’ve worked with at Jordan’s have left us tired, happy dogs and great notes. Our maltese is a bit of a turd sometimes, and our doxie is scared to death of everything so I know what a handful they are to walk, but they trudge through wind and cold to tire out our kids. We even had Jordan walk our dogs to our outdoor wedding ceremony so the critters could be involved. We wouldn’t trust just anyone with our precious (obnoxious) brats, but working with Jordan’s has been a pleasure.

5-​month old pup typically joins me at the office. Woke one morning to a family emergency, left blindly searching for a dog-​sitter whom I would need within hours. Enter 7 am Unilocal scramble and awesome reviews on Jordan. She was prompt in her response to my email, assertive, kind, knowledgeable, willing and able to take the pup on short notice. Excellent business practice. During the family emergency the pup was with her every day. She was flexible. Every night he came home happy, socialized, and tired. Each morning he couldn’t get back to her fast enough. He loves her, the proof is in the pudding! And Jordan clearly cares about these pets. makes for a happy and confident owner (me!)
