JMKBK llc specializes in apartment rentals in Kensington, South Windsor Terrace, Prospect Park South/​Ditmas Park. Our Windsor Terrace office is open by appointment only.



JMKBK focuses high quality, spacious apartments in Pre-​War and Post-​War elevator buildings with live-​in supers and laundry rooms, close to public transportation. We charge reasonable fees and since we live and work in the neighborhoods we represent, we can usually accommodate scheduling. The buildings we represent are not widely listed, and we always try to provide the best customer service you expect from a neighborhood broker.

Established in 2010.

JMKBK LLC is a boutique real estate brokerage focused on apartment rentals in the Kensington, Windsor Terrace, Ditmas Park and Midwood areas of Brooklyn. At present JMKBK is licensed R.E. Broker Liam McCarthy, a resident of Kensington and Windsor Terrace since 1997, and experienced local licensed salespeople Lisa Shaw and Angela Tetaud. We try to work only with quality landlords and bring you the best pictures and most accurate descriptions available, combined with our extensive local knowledge of the areas we represent. Because we live and work here, we can often accommodate showings on very short notice, and our long relationships with the landlords we work with ensures ease and continuity through the rental process.

Business Owner

I grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut, the son of two New Yorkers from Brooklyn and the Bronx. I have a bs/​of in Tuba Performance with an outside field in Studio Painting from Indiana University, and has been living in Brooklyn since 2007; first in East Williamsburg, and then Windsor Terrace and Kensington. I worked at 2 firms in Manhattan from 2001 – 2007 and was a rental agent, listings agent, and general office manager. I try to provide the best customer service for my clients, and try to make the process as easy, straightforward and predictable as possible. I get around by bike and enjoy cycling in NYC, anything in Prospect Park, a photography hobby, and the company of my lovely and talented wife.
