Super fresh bagels and pastries, reasonable prices, and they offer iced coffee (which no one else in this area has). They also recently renovated (nice job, guys!) and the guys who work here are great!.Only downside is the limited seating — but it’s great for grab-​and-​go breakfast with the ²⁄₅ subway stop literally right in front.

I come here twice a week and get the bacon and eggs croissant with a cup of coffee. The bread is so fresh and tastey. The staff is kind and so helpful. This is a great neighborhood bakery.

This place is starting to make sense. For a while they had nothing on the shelves, just some rolls, croissants, and would stop egg and cheese sandwiches at around noon. After that I had no idea what they were open for. Now they have soft drinks, etc. Its basically just the sandwich and soda part of a corner deli, but with better quality bread. Its made pretty fresh. Good, cheap sandwiches and spinach pies. Bread is not stale but not really special, just decent. If you need a last minute sandwich before hopping on train it’s good. If you need a roll for cheap, that isn’t stale like at Associated, it’s good.

For $ 599 I got scrambled eggs, French toast and a large coffee. The French toast was pretty tasteless, even with syrup on it. Service is VERY quick. The staff is friendly and helpful. And they keep it neat and clean. The seating is limited (all at a bar facing the window. no tables) and there is no bathroom. So basically if you want ok food come here. But definitely nothing delicious.

I honestly don’t stop in here as much as I’d like to as I often head over to the Q train which is a more direct route to my job, however, this place is perfect for a good quick breakfast sandwich on the way to the office as it’s steps away from the ²⁄₅ train subway.
The food is always fresh and unlike some places where everything that is cooked seems to taste vaguely the same, it’s not the case here. The muffins are moist with fresh blueberries and walnut varieties. The bagels are great; regular and cinnamon raisin
Even when there is a small crowd, the lines move pretty quickly. Most importantly, the prices are ideal.

Fast and affordable breakfast, 5 stars for being just that. Extremely convenient location at the entrance/​exit of the Sterling stop in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

The patty is very French in style, this was a pleasant surprised.
The filling… skimpy and modest in seasoning. (they could do better)
The service I received from the young lady was pleasant and very courteous. Such a relief in cultural establishments.(I would go back just for her customer service style!)
The ambiance… pleasant. It smells good. Looks clean and I especially enjoyed the background music. (French Gospel music)
I also purchased a few rolls (white & wheat)
A bit dry but FAR Superior than the 4 for $ 1 rolls at the Supermarket.
They also offer a wide assortment of Breakfast pastries and a small table for coffee and tea.
If they had a real coffee bar, they place would make $ hand over fist!!!
I will go again.

Greasy, greasy patties.
Stopped in with a girlfriend and got one dozen mixed patties.
Store is small and turns into a bakery after the breakfast rush. Only patties and a small assortment of baked goods available.
The guy at the counter was young and not very professional. We waited for him to pack our items up as he flirted with a young woman in the store. Comical — so we stayed to watch the show.
Poor defeated fellow.
12 patties for $ 10. Handed him a $ 20 and he attempted to keep the $ 10​.um, yeah.
I guess this is the only Haitian spot in the area so it works.
Pass and hit up Maxine’s bakery instead.

La Baguette would have 4 stars, if not for the attitude of the owner.
When I first moved to this neighborhood, I noticed this bakery’s French name and thought, wouldn’t it be amazing if this was a Haitian bakery and they had one of my favorite foods of ALL TIME, Haitian patties? I went inside and asked them, and lo and behold, they did. Finally! A win. I asked for a beef patty and skipped home happier than Dorothy on the yellow brick road.
But when I opened it, what I got wasn’t quite the Haitian beef patties I know and love. (My family is Haitian and I’ve been eating them for my whole life.) I was expecting the typical rectangular patty with a golden, flaky crust and a spicy minced beef mixture in the center. Instead I got something that was shaped sort of like a croissant, not nearly as flaky on the outside, and just kind of fell flat as far as patties go.
So I went back a second time feeling hopeful, and that time I got the patty I was expecting. From this, I concluded that they sell more than one kind of patty here, and I needed to specify next time. Reasonable right? Apparently, wrong. When I went back the next time, I asked the man behind the counter for a «Haitian beef patty,» and he got it out of the oven for me. Then he said, «You don’t have to say HAITIAN beef patty. This is a Haitian bakery. Like ME. I’m Haitian. Just say beef patty.» I explained that the first time I got something else, and he just said, «No.» After which he kept muttering «You don’t have to say Haitian» to himself after I paid and gathered my things to leave. I later learned that this is the manager /​owner.
Dude — you own a happy little bakery that is the only one of its kind in the area for at least half a mile. Why are you so angry?! a) I’m Haitian and would never be insulting him, and b) the word «Haitian» is not an insult. Not sure where he got that from. But every time I’ve been in there since then, I’ve tried to get on this guy’s good side and failed every time. «Happy New Year,» «Thank you so so much!» …the works. I get the cold Soup Nazi face every time.
I’ll take the discomfort and keep coming back as long as I’m in the neighborhood, because the patties are genuinely great. But I really wish he would leave the whole «no soup for you» thing out of this otherwise pleasant establishment. Seinfeld went off the air in 1998.
