Specialties

For a taste of Italy in the heart of Brooklyn, look no further than Gargiulo’s. We are an authentic Italian restaurant serving delicious, traditional Neapolitan fare made from family recipes that have stood the test of time. Our food is unbeatable, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked in-house with care. Gargiulo’s has been family owned and operated since 1907, making us a Brooklyn staple and a Coney Island favorite for over a century.

We have a huge dining area, perfect for enjoying a lunch with coworkers or a romantic dinner for two. Can’t stay to dine with us? Don’t worry, we offer a convenient takeout option as well. In addition to lunch and dinner, we also offer private dining rooms that can host anywhere from 20 to 400 people. We also provide catering, so your next corporate meeting, party, wedding reception or event just got a lot tastier!

We also specialize in Holiday events — Christmas Parties, Holiday Parties, New Years Eve Party, Mother’s day, Father’s Day Easter Sunday Valentine Day, Mardi Gras, and Carnevale,

History

Established in 1907.

Gargiulo’s has been open for business in Brooklyn for over a century. We were established by the Gargiulo family, a father and son duo that came from Italy and bought the restaurant. In 1965, the Russo family embraced Coney Island as their new home, and took over the restaurant. They kept the name and implemented their own Neapolitan hospitality and cuisine, turning it into the landmark it is today. Our goal has always been to bring the flavors and traditions of Italy to Brooklyn, and we have gone out of our way to do that over the years. Whether you’ve been dining with our family for decades or you’re stopping by for the first time, we look forward to serving you!

Nino R.

Business Owner

The Russo brothers (Michael, Victor and Nino) own and operate Gargiulo’s, making it a true family business. The brothers can almost always be found at the restaurant, helping out and talking to guests. Nino has worked at the restaurant since he was young, and has never worked anywhere else in his life. The brothers are proud of the great reputation they’ve earned over the years, and take every opportunity to get involved in the community. From serving on the board of the Human Services Foundation to being involved in the Alliance of Coney Island, Nino and the Russo brothers are committed to making Brooklyn great.
