A quality hospital, a quality park, a top high school, and a handful of nice restaurants. It has to shake a bad image, but it’s only a matter of time.

Fort Greene is a beautiful neighborhood that is a few minutes away from Lower Manhattan & is filled with historical brownstones, a variety of restaurants, divey & classy bars, & the Atlantic Center for shopping. What I enjoy most about the neighborhood is there is always something for everybody. Besides eating, drinking, & shopping, you can catch a show or movie at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, a basketball game or concert at Barclays Center, or take a walk & relax in Fort Greene Park. Even though Fort Greene currently has new residential projects, it has preserved its architectural history from the 19th century. It is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets & for the Williamsburg Savings Bank Tower, which use to be the tallest building in Brooklyn. Fort Greene is small & can be explored in half a day. It is also within walking distance from other cool neighborhoods like Prospect Heights, Downtown Brooklyn, & Clinton Hill. Several years ago, the Atlantic Terminal provided a new entry to connect to the MTA so getting to the neighborhood is more convenient. There are several transportation systems available in the area: B, C, D, N, Q, R, 2, 3, 4, &5.
