It might have been the time of day I went because it was not the best of experiences for my first time there. It was really crowded in the seating area as I observed no one was eating desserts and one person was drinking a beverage. They all seemed to be waiting. Luckily I live nearby so I didn’t have to get irritated about people using seats. Thus, from previous comments, perhaps they were waiting for their Di Fara pizza around the corner. When I first walked in, the worker behind the counter seemed tired and ready for their shift to be over. The employee didn’t even greet me because they were focused on their phone. I greeted the worker politely and asked about their desserts. Most likely because it was later evening, the dessert case looked somewhat empty with limited choices. I chose a cake dessert that ended up being dry and disappointing, but the frosting was yummy. From personal experience as a brief worker as a barista in the coffee and bakery industry, I always greeted my customers, truly hoped they had a good day and made sure they had an overall positive experience. Maybe I’m just overly nice, but I think people from all places are just busy and have things on their mind. As an employee I don’t want to add to any of their frustration and hope to lighten their day even just a little bit. However, at the same time I’m trying to be considerate of this employee I interacted with: perhaps that person was tired, had a long and busy day and needed the day to end. The location is very close to me, but unfortunately I don’t have the desire to return. Maybe one day.

We stopped in for some desserts — it became a waiting /eating room for Di Fara’s Pizza whenever they have private parties. We waited to buy cannolis and the workers were not in sight so left and came back at a later time and just one cannoli was left. Decent but the experience was not so great hence 3 stars. The selection of dessert looked ok, but definitely didn’t look like it had a large selection.

Oh my god the nutella latte was what I have been dreaming about for days now! I had that and a xannoli and I could have died from happiness. I’m so tired ofchain coffee shops that charge 5 bucks for subpar coffee and slow service. This place rules! Service with a smile. The only thing overpowering about the nutella latte was my desire to gulp it down!

With a name like Di Faras you’d think this place would sell good coffee. I ordered the Nutella Latte and felt the nutella was way too overpowering. I also ordered a large coffee and received a 16oz cup.(Not what you’d expect for a NYC large) and it was mediocre at best. They hardly had any pastries in the display. But I ordered an Apple turnover that looked really good, taste was alright. Maybe they should stick to selling their legendary pizza.

I love this place. It is a great addition where there is a few non-kosher places. I love the pastries, some homemade and some from the best Italian places in Brooklyn. The owners are great and friendly.

Around the corner from the best pizza is a wonderful new coffee, tea and dessert shop. The home made cannolis are wonderful. We had both the regular and the peanut butter and both pleased the whole family.
