History
Established in 2012.
Degraw Sound is a Brooklyn recording studio on the Park Slope/Gowanus border, owned and operated by producer/engineer/musician Ben Rice (Blackbells, The Mooney Suzuki). Designed with and constructed by Dave Ellis (Loho, The Lodge, Engine Room Audio), Degraw Sound offers an acoustically tuned, creative environment with fantastic sight lines and sound isolation.
The studio is centered around a vintage 36-channel Trident Series 24 analog console, modded and maintained by Jeff DelBello (The Hit Factory, Stratosphere Sound). Combined with a Pro Tools HD2 DAW and complimented by a carefully selected collection of outboard gear, microphones and instruments, Degraw Sound provides the tools and sonic palette to record and mix a wide range of projects.
