Top-​notch coffee. My barista really knew her stuff and pulled a fantastic shot. Serving Irving Farm plus rotating guest roasts.

Such a great neighborhood coffee shop. The coffee is fresh and delicious, and the food is also very good. The outdoor space is not very nice, but I love the natural light — we don’t get enough in this city. In my opinion however, the best part of Daily Press is the people who work there. They are all so wonderfully real and often very sweet, taking the time to truly acknowledge and take interest in the customers.

The staff is friendly and provide quick service.
I’m ecstatic they are in my neighborhood.

Lovely neighborhood coffee shop — the cold brew is A+

Cute coffee shop! Bought coffee to go, drip coffee, and cheddar chive biscuit. Service was extremely kind and prompt. Loved how cute the space was – would work or read here on a lazy afternoon for sure!

Very cool place. Ran in from the cold rain, greeted by the warm smile of the barista. I had the organic ginger citrus tea. It was like a ray of sunshine to complete my morning. Lovely, I’ll be back!

Great place to post up and be productive. I’ve scoured Manhattan and Brooklyn for good places to have a pleasant cup, be productive and be around others who are productive, and I think I’ve found somewhere to add to my list. Many coffee shops I’ve gone to (especially in Manhattan) are extremely crowded, raucous and borderline concert venue. Although this could be what you’re looking for, it’s not my cup of tea (ha…womp.) Moving on. This place supplies a pretty good cup o’ joe while providing a mellow vibe; playing chill music at a low enough volume you can hear yourself think. The clientele also seems to be a productive bunch rather than the «I’m gonna bring a book with an overly convoluted title, put it on my table, take an Instagram photo of it next to my cappuccino, then get comfortable by turning away from the table and book so that I have room to cross my legs, then go on my phone for 30 min to text my friends that I’m reading at a coffee shop, then leave.» I don’t know about you, my friend reading this review, but I prefer the productive bunch. Anyway, I highly recommend if you’re around.

Daily Press is a gorgeous little café with great coffee and cheap, delicious bagels.
The staff were really friendly and good for a food or tea recommendation.
The menu into extensive but its a lovely place to sit with a book or your laptop, have a great coffee, a light bite, and watch Bed-​Stuy go by.

Daily Press has such a nice feel to it. It’s in a relatively hip area so I was prepared for annoying baristas and annoying customers. Thankfully, I was mistaken! I ordered a coffee ($ 3), and got a free refill. There are tons of sweets, some of which are vegan. They also do some pretty funky lattes, like a spicy latte with cayenne or a maple latte. I was a little too timid to try, but I like that they are willing to try!
Service was very kind. My sister sat and caught up in here for about two hours and never felt pressured to leave. There isn’t a whole lot of seating, so I would suggest coming early if you plan to sit for a while. There is also an outdoor seating area which looks like it will be great during warmer weather!

This is my «go-​to» spot. The coffee is fabulous and the lattes are «BANANAS»! Yesterday, I got my first Peppermint Latte… A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G. Counting down the hours to get my 2^nd cup this morning. The perfect start of the day. Life is grand at The Daily Press. BTW… They have a new express (coffee only) service spot near Nostrand ave. Never been, but is on the bucket list.

Quaint little gem conveniently located right off the C train.
Pros:
+ Back patio. RARE FIND. If I remember correctly, it’s heated in the winter, and the wifi works back there as well.
+ Great espresso, and…
+ …espresso is served with sparkling water!
+ Beer and wine available
+ Several vegan options (I cannot list them from memory, but I know they exist)
+ The milk counter has agave syrup available (in addition to honey and simple syrup) – nice touch!
+ Never crowded, even on weekend afternoons
+ They’re always playing awesome music. Always. One time they played «Candy» by Mandy Moore and I nearly turned into a «woo girl.»
+ Adorable bathroom
Cons:
— Limited seating inside (but there’s always something available thanks to the back patio)
— Seating by the window gets pretty hot during certain parts of the day
Check this place out! It’s a charming shop surrounded by Dunkins, so going anywhere else would be a serious lack of judgment. :)

I wanted to like this coffee shop becos it was different from ur typical dunkin donuts and/​or mcds coffee. But i gave this place several tries and the last was when i ordered a vanilla donut with hair on it :(prior to that my coffee had curd in it, which i dont think i can blame them for but the donut w hair on it was jus my last straw.

Good coffee, good wifi, bathroom most always works. Back porch is fun for about 3 – 5 minutes. School time crowd can be annoying but only occurs from 3:14 — 3:40 during certain days. Easy to wait the school kids and moms out they don’t last long. Seats are hard so if you are pulling an all day laptop session get ready for that.
Food is dirt cheap the bagel and cream cheese is a good deal, makes up for seemingly high priced coffee. A good place to stay for 4+ hours. Sometimes the music is very good and hip but sometimes the music is bland and boring so bring headphones in case. Plenty of power outlets, never a problem, and cool bench out front to do cigarettes on.

This spot is the only upside of taking the C train. It is the worst line. I mean, how could a train that services SO MANY stops come every 10 minutes?!
I digress. Friendly and great service. Reliable lattes. No doughnuts but there are pastries. Not a fan of the croissants (not crispy enough) but the cheddar chive biscuit is awesome. They are experimenting with new beans for brewed coffee. You can also buy bulk prepared coffee to go — great for mtgs.
I do like that this coffee shop hosts poet night and various other events. And a CSA! Makes it cozy.
Lastly, there’s a garden. Wear bug spray…

Their basic coffee is made with love and are and knowledge of good coffee and EVERYTHING that comes with it.
Great espresso, that’s usually my way of checking whether or not a coffee spot is worth the trip.
They have a few creative options like butter coffee, or sparkling iced espresso…
All worth discovering.
The staff is friendly, open, passionate about their art. The atmosphere is very mellow, which is great if you’re looking for a place to sit and work.
The music is usually pretty good, and not TOO crazy… Cause some places it’s just distracting for me. Not here, good balance.
Right off the C-​train, which is convenient.
Good coffee spot!

The location is great, the vibe is nice, it’s clean, and the coffee’s good. I was able to get work done, though the tables are all small and it’s not great if you like to spread out a little. Barista was a little quiet but just fine.
Not a spacious, super different, A+ café, but a lot better than Starbucks.

After living in Bed-​Stuy long enough to sample nearly every café within a 20 minute walk from my apartment, I’ve come to realize that Daily Press is by far the best. The drip coffee and iced coffee are great, the staff is cool, and the backyard is my favorite place to chill out or get some work done on a nice day. While I’d previously complained about the prices, they are decidedly on-​par with the other cafés in the area – sometimes cheaper – and are a much better value. I only wish I still lived around the block!

I give Daily Press 3 stars simply because it is a cute café close to where I live. The coffee has a nice, smooth taste and the barista that served me in the morning was really nice and friendly even at 8 in the morning.
My only complaint is that it is ridiculously overpriced. $ 2 for a very small 8oz cup of coffee is just a little too steep. Especially considering there are places nearby serving larger coffees for the same price.

So easy to miss. It’s on the left about 2 doors after Natural Juice (one of my fave spots) if you’re walking towards the C line and S shuttle station on Franklin and Fulton.
It’s rather inconspicuous so look carefully. If you’re already at D. Donuts then you’ve passed it.
They have the usual fares of a coffee shop served with tablespoons of pleasantries.
There’s a seriously cute little backyard that I missed on my last visit. Today Friday March 6^th 2015 @ 1:45om, it’s bathed in sunlight, it’s cool and what a treat after leaving the mushy streets at the front.

I randomly bumped into this place on my way home from the grocery store today. Such a cute a cozy interior, friendly adorable service (I recognized one of the baristas from Clementine Bakery!), and fantastic coffee with soy and almond milk options. They also carry several vegan cookies, muffins, and scones. Such a nice surprise, and it’s right next to the train!
So bummed I discovered this place right before leaving NYC! Will definitely come back.
