Couture Locations

I guess people who write great reviews were paid for the reviews. This company sucks and I wont recommend it to anyone. Very low standards and non professionals. What a waste of time and unfortunately, money.

After an apartment application fell through Sam and Mike of Coutoure Locations repeatedly lied to me in order to avoid returning my deposit of $ 2708.
First attempt Mike said we could meet Friday night @6. Friday, he can’t do it as his partner (previously of 10 years during the pitch) can’t make it due to shabbas.
Second attempt. Mike is going to show me another place. EXPLICITLY agreed that he would bring my money order and that Sam his partner would be there. Apartment sucks, no check no Sam. When lies are pointed out «Sam is not my partner, I don’t work for him, he just feeds me listings, he has your money».
Try to meet Sam after the end of Shabbas. Sam refuses. Says he will meet me at his office on Broadway at 10am. As of now no one is returning calls confirming.
That is until… They got into a dispute with Mithopia over who had rights to my commission. Owner just took the next App and I was out. Mike
Basicly Mike LIES whenever its convenient. I don’t think he is actually trying to steal, but if a bunch of lies eventually gets him what he wants, he has no problem lying even if it comes at the expense of a customers time and santiy.
In addition to Couture locations he is also affiliated with property sales and management at
Sam may be a thief. He has certainly inconvenienced me and been very reluctant to return my money. I will update this as events warrant.
Suffice it to say that if you can avoid working with liars and thieves, you should.

With an impending move to NYC for grad school, I was dreading the process of finding an apartment in Manhatten (I’d heard horror stories about sketchy brokers and outrageous prices). Luckily, my roommates and I found Mike through Craigslist who quickly showed us several apartments in one evening. Each option suited all of our needs, and we ended up putting in an application that weekend. Mike was very approachable throughout the whole time, and made the scary NYC housing market seem easy and manageable. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking to relocate!

My roommates and I all flew into New York to meet with another broker from a different firm who schlepped us all over manhattan for several days showing us six floor walk-​ups with no windows and apartments requiring outrageous brokerage fees. Frustrated and worried we might not find the right place before leaving town, I contacted Mike from Couture Locations through craigslist.
Couture Locations was by far the best firm we used! Mike met us in the East Village an hour after I had emailed him to show us five different apartments near NYU– one of which we ended up choosing! He was the first broker to show us several legitimate options all within our budget and desired location. Mike’s an honest go-​getter who actually listens to his clients and wants to see them happy. The apartments he showed were unique with great lighting all along 2^nd Ave in the East Village. Mike’s professional, efficient, and trustworthy. Five stars for Mike!!!
