Seriously turned off by this place, specifically by one particular security guard. The female security guard is so horrible. She tries to intimidate you as she viciously pats you down and checks you. And she definitely goes overboard. She almost had me throw out my epi pen, and took my medication and had me throw them away. I understand now you’re not suppose to bring medication in, but the least she could have done was held it for me. I’m so over this place, and the constant horrible experiences I have had with this security guard. She needs to be fired. Another time, a friend of mine said she literally grabbed his private parts. It’s insane. This place has such a great ambiance, but she brings it down. Hence, if you don’t want your night to be ruined by a security guard do not go there.

truthfully, i would like to rate this establishment 1 star. however, i will not rate it 1 star because the waitress was trying her best. location: décor is nice and the place is clean. there is no air conditioner and the place was like a sauna, which the dj mentioned several times. bathroom was unkept. it had no toilet tissue. bartenders: most of them were nice except one with natural hair in a ponytail and tasteless tattoos on her chest. she was close to a caramel complexion. dont waste your time with her because she acts like you ate doing her a favor by purchasing a drink for her. her face alone and body language tell you she doesnt like her job. music: dj was great. i have no complaints cuisine: the food was great. takes a while to arrive at the table but its hot and good. haitian people wonder why their own kind dont support them! these are the reasons why! i will never step foot in this place and you shouldnt either. this place will not be in business long because of management’s attitude! management: horrible! the worst part of this establishment. this short man who looks gay is so rude and disrespectful. he was complaining about me taking napkins because i was sweating so much from lack of air conditioner. if the owner is reading this… you are going to lose your business because if that short man. when i told the manager that i will never come back, he said«so what». i have never seen such a thing. the same short gay-looking man, who i believe is named edel also pushed out 3 women(including me) out the back door into a dark alley and didnt care that we could get raped! when my friend became angry security had to hold him back because he wanted to confront her. what the fuck is this! anybody that asks i will always and forever tell them spend their money somewhere else!

I’m so disappointed in this place. I waited over an hour and a half for my food. There were literally 4 people there before us. How does it take that long to make some pasta. I am so disappointed. I’m not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon. I will also not be recommending this place to anyone.

I went here with my sister, cousins and friend for my birthday on February 20th(Saturday). The cover was 20 bucks per person, but 30 dollars for a couple. Parking was easy and we got there around 12:30 am. Since my cousin is a DJ, we were able to «slip» right in. We didn’t eat here so Im not sure how the food was but the party was fun. The music was definitely live(lots of soca) and the bathrooms were kept clean. I didn’t know the main DJs’ name but the event was called«Unconditional Love». The drinks were cool, definitely bit on the strong side which was a plus. I danced through the whole night; I would come back here for another party.

This place needs MAJORRRRRRRR improvement, from the food to the staff. The service is alight,. A restaurant is supposed to greet you at the door and thanks you for coming to their establishment. The food is not supposed to be cold with no taste and the staff is not supposed to have attitudes. NEEDSIMPROVEMENT. MAJOR.

I wish they gave more food. I feel like the plates they use decoy the smaller than typical Haitian portion. My partner and I wanted to sit next to each other, and they would not let us use the larger table. We would not have asked if there were many others frequenting. I understand the waitress had to follow the boss’s order. The waitress(Marie) was nice.

First and for its if I can give them a zero I would. All the employees are extremes disrespectful! It took over an hour to bring out wings. A steak house doesn’t even take that long. I had to remind then about 3 – 4 times I had an order placed. That bartender-EXTREMELY slow and EXTREMELY rude. Then I was told to take it easy because they are under paid? Really quickly, what does that have to do with me?! If you don’t like your job, get another one. Asked for the manager on duty was told there’s no manager here… I’m not sure who’s running this place but whoever it is, is doing an extremely poor job! WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER! they lack customer service skills like no other. Please don’t waste your time coming. Spend your money else where, on a business that can at least«act» as if they want it. Will not be back-EVER!

Worst experience ever Came for mother’s day to please my mom since she wanted Haitian restaurant. Waited almost 30 mn to be seated(which I give them the one star; because I forgive them; it was a special occasion and the place is not big) Bad customer service; loud atmosphere No water nor bread were provided on the table ’ they only have menu for alcohol. Half of appetizer came in with no napkin the other half we have to wait until they bring the main course(really who eats like that ;appetizer with main course !!!). Also a lot of food on the menu was not available. Main course finally arrive no silverware was provided so we have to wait again for the waitress to come by. We had to wait almost 4 hours for our food and it was cold and not tasty at all. I don’t know who they have in the kitchen but the Haitian food that they have doesn’t taste like Haitian food to me and it’s kind of pricy. Half of the food ended off wasted because it wasn’t good at all(burn rice ’ cold plantains) we had to find something on the fridge to eat at home. I wished we went to the Chinese next door; it would have been quicker and better It was my first and last time and I will make sure to tell my people not to go there

Honestly, their food is very flavorful and their drinks are amazing. I’ve been here for a few events with live music and great DJs. It really depends on who’s playing they night you go. They plate the food very well and it’s always hot when it comes to you. The service is very good as well. Very nice addition the Canarsie area which is less stressful for parking as most places in Brooklyn would be. The crowd is veryyy different from the crowd at other sit down Haitian restaurants located downtown. This spot isn’t much like the yuppy hipster spots. It’s more like the spot if you want to go out dancing with friends or your boo.

I Love supporting minority businesses so I definitely had to try out this spot opened by young enterprising Haitian Americans in the entertainment biz. So I went to this place on two occasions. As far as food goes, I only had the Fritaille(no meat) which was decent, standard Haitian plate,(would be a shame if that was not at least good) it was basic, no frills, the accra was too soft for me; my friends felt like the food needs a little more LOVE. First time I went was on a weekend, I was accompanied by my sister and her bf and my cousin from out of state; it was fun atmosphere, good music, TV’s tuned to sports channels, rocking pumping dance floor, chill place(people-watching-kinda-mixxy– see– and-be-seen-spot), The drinks were good well priced and prepared. Second time I came to Chloe’s, regular week night with my sis for a drink though I did not consume any alcohol, the bartender made the BOMB-ASS fruit punch that needs to be bottled and sold as Chloe’s Elixir. That fruit punch was FANTASTIC! she used all types of nectars, I will go back to for this fruit punch if for nothing else. :) On my last visit, my friends drinks were served in those fake plastic drinkware, waitress stated its because too many breaking, in my head all i could think was«I like glass barware, don’t serve my top shelf liquor in that silly plastic stuff». I was going to order a glass of wine as it would be served in glassware but the sole, dusty, old bottle of red wine at the bar looked like it had been opened last month and probably already turned to vinegar. Also, a patron was smoking in the bathroom(I smelled the freshly smoked cigarette mixed with the scent of old cigarettes on the patron’s clothes, grossssss) a bouncer came into the ladies room when they exited to «do a routine sweep check»(uncovered the toilet tanks to search for ??? idk idc just weird and kinda red flag) This is not a place for a fine dining experience, just a very poppin Brooklyn venue, great drinks, more lounge-like, less restaurant-like, will be at the next Bal. :)

I had rice n beans with fried goat n the rice was delicious, so was the meat. I must say tyically haitian restaurants serve alot of rice but not this one n i do feel it is a bit overpriced. Also why are you guys playing jamaican music –_– this is a haitian restaurant. Ive heard ppl complain about their customer service n altho our waitress took forever n a day to bring our sodas, she was very polite, helpful n accomadating even tho she had no clue on some of the things i was asking for since she wasnt haitian. And how do you guys not have Cremas as a drink like shit! Id come back for sure, but they lost some stars because of the whole music thing n the price.

I came here last night with my friend after a concert at the park and it was not really busy. I’ve been here before and had the shrimp and they were really delicious. So we ordered drinks, Long Island Iced Tea and some food, the fritay calamari and buffalo wings. The food was okay, the plaintain was a bit hard and I’ve had better calamari at Footprints and the service was slow. I did bring this to the manager and owner’s attention. They were very good about listening to my concern and dissatisfaction with how long it took for us to get our food and we sat at the bar. Normally, I know when you sit by the bar, you usually get faster service. The place has a few tvs and a full bar. It was nice that they had music playing. The atmosphere is definitely nice to go to after work or for a late night food. The drinks were on point and the other drinks the people around us had looked real good too… We went on a karoake/game night so as the night progessed, it was definitely getting lively. They have a ping pong table, pool table, they had dominios and other games. I would definitely come back again for the ambiance. Sadly I was a bit disappointed in the food last night especially when its usually on point but I would still come back again.

Chloe’s is a nice upcoming establishment for the haitian community. Although it needs some improvement. Lets start off… Ambiance:10/10. Good music, Nice evironment and décor. Customer Service: I rather not put a number. I just want to say please hire more staff, especially if you have an event. No reason why I had to wait 90 mins for a party of 6, if its only 6 people in the restaurant. Food: 6⁄10 The oxtail, goat, and fritay was well prepared. The lambi was lacking in many areas. Price: Honestly it is overpriced… period. Although I was not completely satisfied. I do intend to go back in hopes of it being better.

I just came back from handling something and I’m with my underage cousin. I’m thinking where can I can get some good food without having to worry about him being carded and then it hit me – Chloe’s! My first visit here was on a whim on a Monday night and I was blown away how a place can be so packed and fun on a Monday night in the Winter! I was then informed that it was coincidentally many birthdays being celebrated hereat the same time. Needless to say, the first impression was a positive lasting one. I love this venue, and«hate» it at the same time. It was an older venue by the name of Ambiance which was all dim and so until a group of young folk bought the venue and completely transformed it! It’s amazing now how different it is. It’s a restaurant with a lounge/club feel after hours(11p). Great spacing and they’ve made ideal use of the spring for adequate seating with a moderately sized rear that doubles as a dance floor at night where they specialize in mostly Haitian music, however play everything else as well. To be honest however, the food is good, but nothing to rave about as I’m not the only to complain that it takes eons to come out whether it be packed or only a few people here(ridiculous)! The service is slow and at times immensely frustrating! However I still support the business as it is still very fairly new. The best dish I’ve had here so far are the jerk wings which I may add not only tastes good, but pack a nice kick! All in all, I’m of course biased because I’m of Haitian descent by way of my parents, so I’m prone to like this place even more. Nevertheless it’s cool. Wednesday nights is game night where they turn the back area full of tables of connect four, cards, and a pool table! Monday nights are the best where it’s the busiest I believe and when many functions are thrown! So if you’re looking for a place to go to on a Monday night to have fun(rare)! Chloe’s is the spot! Pretty bartenders, moderately priced food and drinks, TV’s, and great ambiance! 3 stars in hopes that there’s room for improvement and that the improvement becomes a reality and something this venue will strive for or else my frequent visits here will be drastically minimized. I still love you Chloe’s!

Customer service was nothing short of amazing. Our waitress was professional, attentive, & went above the necessary that was expected of her. If this review was based solely on that, Chole’s would receive 5 stars, hands down. The food on other hand is worth 3 stars. Chole’s just started serving a Pre-Fixe Brunch for $ 15.99 with unlimited Sangria or Mimosas for $ 10 a glass. There is no excuse why it wasn’t perfected. I ordered the Fish & Chips with a Caribbean Grilled Chicken Salad. I declined the dessert. The Fish was under seasoned. The breading was a nice, thin coat but had no flavor. The fries were crinkle cut which lacked seasoning as well. The Caribbean Salad was good minus the dried up grilled Chicken pieces that was in the salad. We were served White Wine Sangria that had to be sent back. It was dry & tasteless. The diced up fruit was no match for the tartiness. The waitress rectified the issue by serving Red Sangria instead. The Pre-Fixe Brunch needs major work. I put in a order for the Fried Chicken because it looked juicy. The Chicken had the right balance of spice but when I took a further look I realized it was undercooked. When in the restaurant industry food needs to be throughly cooked. There’s no questions about that. The manager was called over & she rectified the Chicken with putting in a new order. Would I be back, yes, but to critique their dinner.

If you live in Brooklyn, you’re Haitian you either been, heard or even passed by this restaurant. Even if you’re not Haitian but if you have Haitian friends or even live in Canarsie I’m pretty sure it applies. I was ashamed to not even tried it meanwhile I’m always in Canarsie(have family and friends that lives in Canarsie) The fact that I’m Haitian and knows some of the DJS that shares their art there. The ambiance is real nice, the décor — beautiful, the music(DJ did an awesome job). The food — yes it was good. The drink I had was a simple vodka tonic and the person I was with had baileys. Maybe next time when I visit again I’ll try something different but my drink was up to standard and the food(Fritay) was good — the somewhat of a downfall was I had to pay extra for meat in my Fritay meanwhile I know it’s supposed to come with it. Also the person I was with ordered BBQ chicken tenders yet they brought out regular dried-up tenders. I appreciate the waitress Sabine apologized and brought him the right thing he ordered. Our waitress was very polite and patient-that’s a plus in my book. Most importantly they have an A from the health department which tells you a lot about a restaurant — hope they keep that up. Their bathroom is a little too small and not fancy like I expected to be-a little boring too but I can deal with that. I would definitely recommend this place for large group of friends or that special one. …oh did I mentioned I missed brunch with unlimited mimosa by 20mins? Oh yeah I did lol — next time.

Went to brunch with friends. We were greeted with some Kompa music, played by a live DJ. We were seated immediately in a nice booth area that made us feel VIPish. Lol And the waitresses were really nice and attentive to our needs. I had a mimosa that was more of sparkling orange juice. And was a little disappointed in the red velvet waffles, for my 1st time having them. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and delicious. As we had to just ask them to cook the chicken a little longer. The Chef greeted us and was very accommodating to our«good criticism» They just started the brunch. So they were thankful for it. As there’s always room for improvement.

If I looked at the reviews of this place BEFORE I went I probably wouldn’t have gone. It is sad that everyone had such a bad experience. I came here for a birthday dinner, small party of 5(including myself). Place was pretty small and packed. We ordered our food and got it in decent time, no horrible wait like others have experienced. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had steamed snapper fish that comes in a white sauce and it was very flavorful just the way I imagined it to be. For sides I got white rice with sospwa-bean sauce–(spell check on that). The rice was good but the sospwa had a bitter taste to it that I couldn’t quite pinpoint. Overall the food was great and I would come back for the food but the location is not one I would frequent. It was a last minute thing really. After my food, everyone left except me and my guy. We were sitting enjoying the music. I can say that in some ways this place was disorganized like coat check, and the bar… The bar is expected to be disorganized though. I wish bartending was about bartending and not being the hottest/sexiest bartender. If you gave all customers the same treatment whether male or female I am sure you would get tipped unless they’re cheap. But if you don’t give proper customer service you wont get tipped, its simple. The dancing area was small in contrast to other dance floors I’ve seen in these kind of settings but is not a big deal to me, I don’t need the whole floor to move. They played a variety of music at first ranging from R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae/Dancehall, & my favorite… SOCA! But that stopped as the crowd grew. After that it was STRAIGHTKOMPA. I like Kompa music but it don’t love it… my boyfriend comes from a Haitian background and I know I like it more than him. After a while I became bored with the music and decided that we should leave. The highlight of the visit was the food. The food was very tasty, the chef that night came out and spoke to the customers and we discovered he was Jamaican. Without the food, Chloe’s would get 1 star from me.

My 1st trip to Chloe’s was a very positive experience. They were throwing a private affair and the DJ was spinning great tunes. The back portion of the restaurant, lounge portion was used. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The food is deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. This place fuses haitian cuisine with all of the West Indies. This is a rare find ! The décor of the restaurant is very modern and chic. Very warm and inviting. A great venue to cater an event! I ordered the Griot(fried pork) and rasta pasta. Perfect combo of spice and texture. I recently returned for brunch and was not satisfied. They recently introduced the brunch menu featuring a $ 15.99 Pre Fix menu. I wish they featured more caribbean items. Saltfish was the only item. Brunch comes with 1 dessert item. Unlimited Sangria & Mimosa is $ 10 additionally. I ordered the Chicken and regular waffles. Chicken was seasoned amazingly but undercooked. Frying chicken is a talent. Especially the more meatier parts. Breasts must be cooked thoroughly. We returned the chicken to the manager and Chef Wayne recooked pieces and visited our table to ensure we were satisfied. We had a good time enjoying the live DJ, who was very skilled, despite the mishaps. As well as the private bungalow seating near the door. I’m sure the staff is still working out a few kinks for brunch. There is available street parking along side the street that runs parallel.
