I loved the waffles with Gelato ice cream, very delicious. Also coffee is very good too. I’m not a coffee fan, that café the only one i could drink coffee.

I got some macarons for later-snack it was alright/okay. At first they keep giving me different macarons opposing to my order. I had to say my orders couple of times and point directly at the type of flavor I wanted. But they still get it wrong. I pointed directly at the specific ones and they still don’t know what they doing.

Walked in at 11AM. Ordered a small iced coffee. My response? «We’re out of coffee.» I will never return. The almighty messiah could return to earth and promise world peace in exchange for my going back here, and I would simply say, «No.»

My rating of this place is up. Love studying here. Never crowded and quiet music. Just enough background noise to not go crazy while studying. Their drinks are good. Usually get green tea latte. Wifi is a little slow but better than Starbucks. Lots of outlets. Waffles are delicious but expensive.

Update from below: they really changed their service and are much friendlier now. I don’t eat there often but last time I ate something the food was better too. So now no complaints! Pros: clean, outlets, there is room to sit Cons: the food is terrible but looks like it will taste good. Not great customer service. Some of the girls that work there are great but in general one of the managers does not provide a warm atmosphere

Great tasting offerings. Great furniture and layout. Great service. I wish they would have calming unobtrusive noise-blocking sound on its sound system instead of distracting music I don’t think anyone cares about. In total fairness, I hold this concern with all of today’s coffee houses and certainly not just here.

A new outpost for caffeine-related adventures. Caffe Bene’s franchise reach has finally touched Bay Ridge. As to what they offer, it’s quite good for Bene. 4.4÷5.0 They opened on 5th Ave with the idea of drawing some of the attention away from existing café/coffee haunts like Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts. It remains to be seen when they’ll reach their peak however the franchise’s claim to fame is their spacious layout. They’ve got plenty of tables to allow table hoarders to occupy. It’s a risky strategy for retail overall, but I’m not one to complain. I prefer enjoying a good cup of coffee with some seating, ‘specially as our brews reach the $ 5 threshold. This does become a big deal. I’ve ventured here a few times and it was empty at times and mostly filled to capacity, and I’m sure especially packed when school is out. There’s definitely something for everyone on the menu, from hot drinks, to frozen drinks, to food items. That big honey toast always catches my eye, and I have yet to order one. Will have to rectify that soon, but the drink and dessert pairing are genius. Green tea latte is the drink I gravitate toward, and you should too, but definite try the off-menu red velvet latte. It’s simply deelish! 4.4÷5.0

The perks of coming here is a great spot to study and meetup with friends. Food wise, bit on pricey side as the # of times you come in and buy, the cost adds up like crazy! Tried the spicy chicken sandwich and gelato ice cream. Ice cream was good and $ 2.75 single and $ 5 for two scoops. The spicy chicken was interesting taste except the person heavy handed — sauce was everywhere and soaked my sandwich. Soggy mess tackling it. I have YET to try those cakes on display but will update.

Seems it’s the only place you can get good coffee and decent food on Xmas day. I really like the drinks and ice cream in café benne, the cakes are too sweet to me. They have pretty good sandwiches and big waffles. Definitely not for diet tho. Lol Do recommend their green tea latte, you would love it.

The environment is good. I like the decoration surround me. It is wonderful to stay in the afternoon. However, the drink and the cake are not as tasty as they look like.

I looove this place. They make the best soy latte’s this side of the bridge(any bridge, really) and the staff is SO sweet. They take the time to make a coffee drink the right away; they don’t rush the espresso process(or pre-make it) and the quality is usually on par every time. I also like that they’re genuinely friendly– they have yet to passively aggressively ask my name and then misspell it on my cup. I am gluten-free so I can’t attest to how yummy the delicious-looking food is but I like that they prepare it fresh on the premises, and like that they have seating and WiFi. Great coffee, mellow café vibe and nice staff — A+!

The vanilla bean frappé and smoothie lost its taste after a while but the waffles were good! The decorations were cute and service was great. But, there was flies flying around.

So excited there is a Caffe Bene in Bay Ridge! I came here for their bingsu and it was delicious! It’s a tad pricey so I wish it was cheaper and they’ll probably get more business if it was priced lower. I don’t think the people that frequent Bay Ridge are familiar with Bingsu or Korean coffee shops so I think this place can do itself a favor by lowering their prices so they can get a following. If it’s too expensive, I don’t think this place will last since it seems everyone is comparing this place to Starbucks, which they shouldn’t since Caffe Bene has a different target audience. Either way, I am super happy this place is here and I hope they’re here to stay!

They serve a variety of items from light food, waffles, smoothies, and bubble tea. I was a little disappointed that they did not have iced decaf coffee available. Instead I got an iced decaf Americano, and I’ve had better. They do offer almond milk, though it separated in the coffee. Try the multigrain latte– it’s an interesting nutty mix blended with milk of your choice, served hot or iced. It is caffeine-free. Smooth, not sweet, and refreshing. It’s not filling like a smoothie but more substantial than a latte. Good notes– this place is HUGE and has a wonderfully quiet area to do some work in the back of the store. Also, they have a punch card, so after 10 drinks you can get any drink for free.

I like the interior of this café but then again, every caffe bene looks like this. The menu items are the same in all caffe benes. I’m just happy this place opened because it is now another much needed café that I can go to and study in the Bay Ridge area. My mom and I stopped by to get the shaved You can tell the workers were a little inexperienced with the Korean items on their menu like making the shaved ice. Therefore, it took about 20 mins for the shaved ice to be made which in my opinion is a very long time. In my opinion, caffe bene is overpriced and I would prefer the coffee over at Starbucks. But I would come here if I were craving their misugaru latter or something I can’t get at an American café.

Not nearly as good as the Caffe Bene’s in the city. They had a limited assortment of breads and sandwiches, and focused mainly on desserts. They have a whole gelato/ice cream section though.

so excited to see this open in the neighborhood! love the seating in the back area. the boyfriend stayed a couple hours to study. besides the super noisy table next to us, the place was relatively relaxing. bathroom needs a receipt code so make sure you save that. in the time we stayed, he got an americano(1 dollar off between11−2?), i got a chamomile tea and we shared a strawberry ice parfait which was HUGE and delicious. takes them a minute to make but they bring it to your table which is nice. will be back!

Came here for breakfast this past Saturday morning, since I’ve been passing by it since It opened. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating, as well as efficient and quick. I ordered a the banana bacon waffle combo that came with a choice of a medium or a dark roast coffee, which I selected the medium. The waffle itself was good, but the sweet sauce was too sweet for my liking. It was very sticky and made the waffle less appetizing. The coffee was nothing special, but it was very hot and fresh. I wouldn’t not come back to eat here, but I definitely would try something else instead, as I like to give an establishment multiple times to order before I decide not to come back.

This area is sure changing and now there’s a caffebene here. It’s a great place to be with a good book and their great variety of beverages. Last time I was here I ordered one of their peach slushie, it was nice and refreshing, this time around I decided to enjoy a warm coffee. This place is so new the staff are still training but they are super friendly and nice. One of them even followed up with me on my order. Sometimes its these little things that makes me want to return.

Great café in a great location. It’s not as busy as the other Caffe Bene’s I’ve been to, which I like. Menu selection probably isn’t as extensive but I’m sure they’re working on it as this place is still fairly new. Will definitely come back when I have a sweet tooth or in the mood for some special mixtures.

My friend and I came here at night on July 4th. I was in the mood for dessert and good thing they were open until 11. The staff was friendly and all smiles. We ordered the strawberry waffle and honey garlic cheese bread. They gave us a buzzer to notify us that the food will be ready. The wait for food wasn’t long and was brought over to us which didn’t make sense for the buzzer. The décor is another level especially in Bay Ridge and comfortable for gatherings. I enjoyed the strawberry waffle but the honey bread was too thick. We were surprised at how big it was. We felt that it would have been better if there was topping in between. Overall, our experience was good and I am looking forward to come back for their sandwich and coffee(even though I love my Starbucks).

While visiting the family in Bay Ridge, I noticed that the 86th Street area changed a lot since my childhood days. Renovations of McDonald’s and new venues such as coffee shops and evern Wendy’s popped up, too. With all these interesting pop-up’s, never did I expected a Caffe Bene will appear! Caffe Bene has been on a mission to become bigger and better than Starbucks. Their original store that I went to was the Times Square location. Since then, they have been popping up all over the city and in Queens. Caffe Bene serves up some specialty coffee, bakery goods, cakes, and desserts. Some of my favorite items here are their cappuccino, green tea cake, and their patbingsu which is a Korean shaved iced with toppings. For a franchise coffee shop, it’s very decent. Welcome to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn!
