Taking violin lessons as an adult is not easy but Tomoko is such a patient teacher. She encourages all her students to participate in recitals no matter their age. Her prices are reasonable and her studio is conveniently located, as I do not like going into Manhattan for music lesson. I highly recommend Tomoko, she is a great teacher and a skilled violinist. Attend her local concerts if you can!

Tomoko is an incredible teacher; I took violin lessons with her as an adult learner, and she was so patient and kind. She has an excellent way of explaining things (like vibrato or hand position) and makes difficult tasks easier to understand. She challenged me when I needed it, and made sure I was learning songs I enjoyed on top of the typical starting songs. Take lessons with Tomoko, she is AWESOME!
