I usually don’t believe the one star reviews but they were right about this place. Please do not let them take your car here for repairs! My insurance company suggested them and once they got here, the manager Larry offers to take the car to their repair shop. I decided to go with it since I was in a rush to get to work. At the last minute, Larry asks me to tip them! I was confused as I had never been asked to tip for towing services before and I offered to tip them when I picked up the car. Larry said that the tow truck driver wouldn’t be there at that time but said the car would be done by 5 pm that day. I went to pick up the car the next morning but they said they ordered the wrong alternator but neglected to inform me. Of course they were closed Sunday, Larry was «out sick» and when I called Monday, they said they ordered the wrong battery but that I could pick it up Tuesday morning. Now I know that an alternator only costs $ 300 but I ended up having to pay over a $ 1000 for a repair that should have cost $ 500 and been done in a few hours. This place is full of scammers and is completely unprofessional.

This guy is a crook and thief. He bullshits you into saying sign this paper so the adjuster can look at the car on my property and then comes up with a bogus bill after. Then if you don’t use him he also makes up a bogus bill as much as the damages to screw you out of your repair check from the insurance company and will also damage your car as its in his shop. This guy should be put out of business by the state of New York

These guys (Danny and Jack) have worked on my car several times (not for the same problem) and those of a couple friends. The work was always fast, courteous, helpful and the cost was right on target. They are honest and friendly, and they ow what they’re doing. A+!

I bought an 05 G35 and I brought it into this shop for timing belts, a trunk leak, an oil change and tire pressure. They replaced my timing belts, fixed my trunk leak, adjusted my tire pressure, changed my oil and even added some more windshield wiper fluid with out me asking. They did this quickly at a VERY reasonable cost. I worked with Danny from the shop and he was extremely helpful and he took care of everything. One of the mechanics came out to look at my car and he also suggested I get a set of wheel locks, which I never considered. I appreciate the honesty and the friendliness of these guys. A few weeks later I came back with a set of wheel locks that I needed some help installing and Danny was there to help me out right away. I will be back for my next oil change!

I have an old Volvo wagon, it’s pretty awesome, but last night it let me down. It died at the intersection in front of my apartment, just as I was to park. I couldn’t get it to start again and I really needed some help. I called my insurance company who sent a tow truck straight to my location. Initially, I wanted to take my car to my homeboy around the corner, but I couldn’t find a single place to park. The guy with the flatbed recommended we bring it over to this place on Devoe. It was late, I was tired, I said «what the hell, take it to your guy’s shop instead.»
Early this morning, when I googled the shop to get the exact location, I came across some really mixed reviews and I must admit, I began to panic.
Listen, my car isn’t a Concours d’Elegance winner, but I love it just the same. I got a call just after lunch from Anthony who clearly identified the problem and gave me a quote before he started work. I felt that the quote he gave me was spot on and he said he could have the car should ready by the end of the day, or early tomorrow. Roseanne called me a few hours later to let me know that they were able to get the parts and my car would be ready before 5:00pm.
What can I say, I was ecstatic! I rode my bike over to the shop and saw one of the mechanics working on my car outside the garage. We chatted a bit, he showed me what the problem was and what needed to be replaced. As it turns out, the guy wrenching on my car loves Volvos just as much as I do. Not only that, but he really knew his stuff. I have a pretty rare engine/​trim combo that only Volvo guys can appreciate. He recognized the uniqueness of my car and took the time to point out other preventative maintenance specific to my model.
We bumped elbows, he started the car and I was back on the road. I drove my car around for a good hour and it felt great.
I’m super happy that the guys at Alfaro were able to get my car back up and running in such a short period of time. The professionalism and respect they gave me was first class. Even though they’re a bit farther away than my regular guy, wouldn’t hesitate to bring my wonder wagon to these guys again.

i brought them my car which was making a minor noise and stalled out.
it took them four months to fix, and $ 7000, on a car with only 38 000 miles
when i got it back it was still making the same noise.
